    Nice video showing how easy it is to save marigold seeds and grow new plants every year at no additional cost. I live in a dry climate, so I do leave my spent flowers on the plant a bit longer. They're a great plant to have in the vegetable garden as they deter a lot of pests and are so pretty, too!

    Great thorough video! Exactly what I was looking for about WHEN to harvest and how to tell if seeds are viable. The petal/seed separating tip was amazing as well! Thank You!

    In Mexico, we just bury the whole flower head so none get lost. 🏵️

      Just so I'm understanding correctly: when the pod dries out and is ready to to harvested from the plant, you would put that whole seed pod in the ground? Wouldn't that be too many flowers growing from the same spot? I'm honestly curious to learn more about this method :)

    Hi after I have taken the seeds do I pull the old plant out.. I'm from the UK so will it survive the winter.... Best regards and stay safe

    • @GardeningWise
      @GardeningWise  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello there,
      Yes you can pull them out if they are not flowering anymore. They are grown as annuals so they won't survive the winter.
      Thanks for watching.

    Does it matter if the orange flower is still attached to the seeds? Is it detrimental to separate that from the seeds?
