    This is honestly the best trail footage I have seen TH-cam ! I love the simplicity and the style in which you captured your experience ! I have been fortunate enough to have experienced these mountains a handful of times but only along the outer perimeters. This summer my wife and I are planning an extended camping trip in the Crazies and we are excited to say the least ! I was wondering if you would be willing to share any info as to which trailheads and or route you utilized on this trek of yours ? We won’t have time for the distance you covered but we would love to see bits and pieces of what you have showcased in this video ! We will be accessing this range on the west side. Any help will be very much appreciated! Thanks and Happy Trails !!!

    I've seen the Crazy Mountains from down below many times. Never imagined the wondrous beauty hidden among those craggy mountain peaks. Awesome is the word. The video makes me feel I am up there on the hike, taking it all in. Good job.

    While I don't do many three day hikes I do multiple day hikes. Living in southwest Montana, I hike the mountains of around me. Big Belt, Bridger, Madison, Elkhorn and Highlands ranges are my favorite. Haven't done tge Crazys but am looking into a Crazy Peak hike as well as a Granite Peak assent this next year. It's absolutely my favorite thing to do! Sphinx Mountain hike is my favorite hike to date, while being one of the toughest for a day hike. Great video and keep on trucking!

    Such a beautiful area, the Crazies are regarded as part of the Rockies, but they're really a group of mountains all on their own. Crazy Peak is the highest at 3,400 meters 11,200 feet. If you want solitude and tranquillity, you'll certainly find there.

  • @markdiroff1479
    @markdiroff1479 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Beautiful place that's on my bucket list. Like the solitude! What peaks did you summit? A little more commentary would be nice especially for those whom know the area. When did you do this but being at that altitude, you can expect any kind of weather at any time of year.

    Nice job! I usually do 2 weeks out in the Beartooths or Winds: a 7-night trip along with a 3/4 night "warm up" hike somewhere close. Not sure why I never ventured into the Crazies, though. Might have to change that up. Definitely looks worth going a few hours out of my way the next time I go to Red Lodge

    Beautiful video! I am thinking about trekking the Crazies next September for my 50th birthday. I am an avid hiker and camper and the weather will determine if I am able to or not. What route did you take? I see the peak overlooking Campfire Lake, but which route did you take from there? Any information you have would be helpful as I plan my trip.
    Thank so much for the video, and keep posting!!

    A man of few words. Where is this? What are those trees? What's the geology? Limestone? Volcanic? Shale? What birds did you hear? See?
    Hikers today know nothing about the land, nor do they care.

    • @wanderandwonder7058

      Lux Melchizedek: one of the biggest reasons I make these videos is so when I’m back in my world I can watch them see my face and connect back to the joy I have when I’m out there. It’s a very selfish pursuit. But it helps me get through what I have to get through.
