ah man... nice handling there in last moments... Anyway was confused what to buy on steam on sale right now... but after seen this video will go for rFactor 2 over AC and Dirt Rally.
I like both, but had more lols during the Corvette show parody. It's ultimately not important which car is said in that line. It could be anything and still be hilarious.
In the official site it says the mod has auto blib disabled, i.e. Have to manual rev match when downshift (mimicking the real sequential gearbox use in the gt3 cup car). However seems like the car does auto blib, or that there is no jerky and wheel lockup effects when rev match is not done. I hope they fix it; would make driving this mod more fun and real.
Just subbed to this on the steam workshop! I hate having to download and manually check for updates. Steam workshop just makes things so much easier. I'm sure if rfactor 1 mods were on steam workshop, the game will continue to as big as it is.
If only someone would bring the World Sportscar Championship 1970 mod to rF2 and update it to the same standards... I probably wouldn't drive anything else for long time if that happened.
This mod is awesome. The cars feel authentic in every way in terms of handling and FFB (and FFB is adjustable in the Tuning menu!). I am not sure if these cars are accurate and 95% of the rest are not, or if there is a single unrealistic feature on these: the throttle. Unlike so many other rF2 cars with a hair-trigger throttle that sees you facing backwards coming out of a turn if you press 5% too quickly or too far, you can mash the throttle quite heavily on these because it takes a while before the torque makes it way to the wheels. It's very odd, but not necessarily bad. As I said, this might be "correct" and a bunch of other cars should follow this approach? I am sure you noticed this...any comment on it, Empty Box? As a great comparison, try the Apex GT3 mod "799." It is the best (in terms of authenticity) car in that mod in my opinion and feels great, but with a bit more traditional throttle response. For an even duller throttle than the Enduracer Flat 6 try the Apex "854."
Ah, I've been looking for Homestead on platforms other than iRacing. I drive this track IRL a good bit, and like to practice it on pc. Looks good in Rf2!
Hey Matt, i've been messing around with the grafics but i just can't get RF2 to look the way they do in your video, would you be so kind and post your grafic details please?
+Nuno Pinheiro It's default Nuno. Only if you've mucked about with stuff, it plays up. Clear any nvidia or inspector profiles, allow the game to create new config and player files, choose only in game settings and pre-rendered frames=1 in the nvidia control panel. It will then, look and work like what you see. Once you have that baseline, you can experiment further.
One question, are you still using SweetFX on rFactor2? Your AA is quite impressive, and I can't seem to reproduce it in nVidia inspector, unless I go 4x4SSAA, which will drop my frame rate to 20fps (GTX 960 here). Would you be willing to share your AA settings? Merry Christmas, Empty Box. Thank you for such amazing content, and I am very excited for 2016 in sim racing. Can't wait to see your videos for the coming year. Thanks
+Julio Barros I believe I have it set to level 4 in game, I'm not forcing AA through the drivers as it seems it can cause some problems with trees and make them look worse off in rF2 for some reason.
Thanks for the reply! That is the single setting I have not tried so far. With all the information on forums regarding AA settings I completely neglected the in game settings. Hope to see you on track (when I get my B license on iRacing!)
I just installed this and loved it instantly .... I read in the comments section that one user upped the FB to 1.9 to feel more FFB in the middle of the car ... I am using a g27 ... any recommendations on FFB settings out there ... recently I had to reinstall all my sims and I lost my old black magic settings
+MrNiceV2 Make sure to play with Min steering force around 8-12 per cent, depending on ya wheel with that higher multiplier you are probably clipping like crazy too losing detail, to increase FFB in this mod, when selecting car, select tuning at bottom of screen and adjust ffb in that.
+Hash_milsim Cool many thanks .... think I will reinstall that FFB Clipping plugin a play around with the settings ... what wheel are you running ... off the top of my head .. My G27 profiler settings are the standard advice of FFB 107% 0% 0% and center spring checked but 0% 900 degs
Same wheel yeah, the settings at end are all good, only thing I had to do in game, was the min force setting, and yeah I run the pedal plugin for clipping, sometimes depending on mod may alter FFB multiplier just a few points .7 to 1.3 type range.
The two cars I race the most are the Clio ... love this car and this new flat 6 mod . My settings for Flat6 are : FFB Smoothing 8 FFB Torqe 8% .. car specific mult 1.3 ... exaggerated yaw 0% head physics 100 % ..look ahead 0 speed sensitity 0 steering rate 21% For the Clio are Car specific FFB 0.80 FFB Smoothing 8 ... ffb min torq 8.0 % Also in my G27 profiler .. the center spring is at 0% but checked ... how do they look to you ... Do you have a link to the FFB Plugin ? I had to do a fresh install of all my sims and lost the download link ... Thanks for the tips
thx for the site and link for the mods.just test it and great mod.did you try the other mods on the webisite also? big thx and keep up the good work.grtz
I've never been a big fan of Porsche Cup racing before but this mod is very fun to drive, and also race against the AI. Top tier mod, the sort that actually makes the game a more desirable purchase which says something Makes me excited for the EnduRacers mod, although from what I've read they might not include LMP1s because the complicated hybrid systems can't be emulated in rFactor 2, or really in any modern racing sim. Shame really, I really want a modern (hybrid) LMP1 car that isn't in Project CARS - I'm hoping that iracing announces something of that kind since it would make a sensible thing to go along with Le Mans, although it'd probably take a long time to come out
Hey Empty, im in the exact same boat. I literally just hopped off after driving these for the past 4 hours at Melbourne GP Circuit and oh lordy this mod is tasty. Pack racing with AI is such a joy. May I ask, have you checked the force feedback customizable settings within the tuning page? I had to select a much stronger setting to get rid of that odd feeling in the FFB. FYI - Give these a go at Bathurst ;)
+Ryan Harris Lowered the FFB smoothing to 0 (most cars I run 7-10 to help with the curb rattle) and am running something like 1.10 car specific multiplier on this thing.
+Empty Box Gotcha. But make sure to check out the tuning page of your specific car/skin that you have chosen. In the upgrades section you will see a 'Power Steering' drop down. I suggest using arounf the FFB 10/15 mark. Massive improvement in the feel.
Hey there. I'm new to simracing, and picked up rfactor 2 as well as AMS. I like the look of this mod, but was wondering how the "default" setup for the car is? is it for advanced drivers only? Or could someone new learn to drive it quickly? Thanks for the wonderful videos :P your content was what finally pushed me into getting a DFGT and some titles to race in, and i've been having a ball.
Does this car have an H-pattern, or does it have a sequential that you have to clutch-in with? The shifting seems different from most sequentials/dual-clutches I've driven so far in sims. I'm still fairly new to sim racing.
The 997 GT3 Cup (on which I believe this is based) has a sequential dog box with a manually operated foot clutch. Now whether you need to use the clutch to shift is down to how well you can rev match/personal preference, but as far as I know, most drivers only use the clutch for starting the car from a standstill and downshifting.
Oh the sequential is on the floor rather than flappy paddles. Forgot to mention that. The newer 991 Cup car has a semi-auto with paddles and button clutch.
Scautura Thanks for the reply! I was thinking that it may be. That makes it slightly more cool to me; as I haven't driven a car that like that yet (either that or I've been driving the ones that require it wrong, idk).
+FezzantPlucka Install them into the original. They changed some things, such as mods no longer installing custom UIs or mucking up settings for just that mod itself, as well as the fact the initial load times aren't hit as hard as rF1 was... don't miss the 5 minute load on a full fledged full fat rF1 install! LOL
I have mixed feelings about this mod the car swings a lot and feels strange to me. .URD EGT Darche looks great and feels good but is too grippy which is disappointing as well I have not found one I like yet. Any suggestions?
+grinkit The EGT car is a GTE car, it should have a crap ton of grip - far more than a cup car like this mod will have. Best bet in rF2 might be to try the Apex GT3 mod.
If you are still searching for an good gt mod - enduracers intodruced their Endurance series to rfactor2 ( lmp2, gte and gtc(the flat6 cup)). Out of my point of view - the best gt and lmp mod out there for rfactor2 - if not the best mod overall.
Porsche is my favorite brand irl (roast me for that), so seeing this mod come to rF2 was an absolute YAAY for me! 1 question: Did you do any setup to it? I find it really hard to keep it as stable as you are doing.
Can somebody explain to me how the situation with paid mods is? Because I loved rFactor 1 and i am thinking about getting rFactor 2, but only if I have access to alot of mods.
+Skyhunter The URD mods are really the only paid mods out there. They are relatively good, but of course you have to pay for them. As for the number of mods - it's not rF1. There are far fewer mods available than at this stage in rF1's life.
Skyhunter DRM is moving to AC - unless something changes that mod isn't coming to rF2, ASR has a few late 80s / early 90s F1 cars for free, Enduracers is coming but will be free.
Skyhunter It's getting there. For the cheaper option (without the lifetime online) it's tempting if you are an offline racer though, and more is yet to come.
The only thing about this car I wish it had was suspension adjustments. This car desperately needs less Fast Bump/Rebound. Sunset Bend is a fucking nightmare if you follow the same line you can take a softer sprung/dampened car through.
+BollocksUtwat have to wonder, will the ALMS GTC car have it in the Endurance Series mod? I can't remember if it had more open adjustments or not in rF1 (or the real world)
Empty Box I sure hope it does, but having never played rF1 during its original run I wouldn't know. I just can't imagine the current tail happy characteristics being friendly to non alien levels of consistency/talent when trying to do a turn 17 thirty or forty times.
Empty Box Interestingly I was just watching a Porsche GT3 Cup race from this year at Sebring and the commentators mentioned that the current spec 991 in that series does in fact have sealed shocks, so I guess it is accurate to not be able to make these adjustments, but I am skeptical that this would be the case in an ALMS kind of scenario.
The title.... b.....but... muh Straight sixes ;-; in all seriousness tho, Great vid like always. I'll definitely be getting my hands on Rf2 once I get my hands on a good wheel
Looks like a great mod, will check it out soon. Unfortunately those low res windscreen banners ruin the graphics a bit, and rF2's graphics engine tends to make bad textures look even worse. That's a shame.
+John Bigbooty Join a league. GPVWC.com is a really good one. They currently using RF2 and have everything from F1 leagues to touring cars as well Indycars and a GT Series.
+LMG _80 only expensive if you cant afford an extra $40 Aus. for lifetime multiplayer ,only one paymod out for rF2 (URD)and not really worth getting but its not that dear if you need it. . Some servers even run it (URD) with getmod so you get it free anyway. Ran a number of races in the flat 6 at Silverstone a few days back ,fields of 25 plus cars, the week before 30 Camaros at Mid Ohio, ASR 1992 at spa 22 cars . all open servers. so no its not empty . As below plenty of good and busy leagues out there as well
Hey! You should do a video on the new sim from Reiza Studios, Automobilista. It's being released on Steam in Q1 of 2016, and everyone who owns STC or buys it before January 6th will be getting a free copy!
Merry Christmas, hey guys I got a T150 but I don't know how to change the DoR anyone know how? Also, what DoR should I use for Sim racing? THANKS. ☺🎅🎅🎅
I wish more people would see RF2 for the absolute gem that it is. Husky42/Pkv-fan here and having been around and having ran around during F1C in the SCC days with you Empty the type of fun I have here is similar to the experience had back then. RF2 needs this car, but it needs more people to spend time withe stock content and then start modding. Assetto Corsa looks pretty but god it drives mediocre.
Remember the sounds that came out a little later on, forgot who did them but they were amazing, that car had such a nasty scream to it and sure enough somebody managed to get it as close as they could with F1C Kinda miss those days, they were simpler but the arguing was still as ever present, just in a different way.."you stole my skin for your mod" and illegal conversions from GP4. Ahhhhh those were the days lol
Should I buy RFactor 2? My question is, is the whole game based around professional cars (Like the opposite of Forza ) or are there many normal cars? It's hard to explain. What I am trying to get at is, is the car list the same as something like Forza? If you cannot see what I am trying to get at, it would be great if someone could send me a car list.
+Roarore88 car list is on the rFactor website, theres only a dozen and most are high performance. I think youre referring to the street cars from forza, which this game doesnt have. except for that ice cream truck
Not sure what it is about this mod. I love the feel of it, but against the AI, they're far too fast in a straight line, for me. Regardless of what settings they're on. My car can't keep up even with 1 front and rear downforce.
+Matt Keen Drop your rear downforce to something like 3, as that lovely motor sat on ya rear axle has a great effect of keeping rear planted without a ton of top speed restricting downforce.
+Counter Russianstrike Generally rF2 pub racing is better quality, probably due to the fact it's far less mainstream. That said, it's also pretty inactive outside of leagues.
Just decided to jump in and have a go but sadly this game is a joke spent an hour trying to configure my wheel/pedals however according to this game there is no controllers present but there is a preset for my wheel (HURRAY!) ... that does nothing sadly refunding this whilst i can.
thanks for more rf2 content, thus game so good hopefully we can see more from you.
great driving and happy xmas
It's nice to see You driving a polish driver's car Kuba Giermaziak. Greetings from Poland :) Keep racing and happy holidays!
good god, that sound...
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you!
Honestly, everything Enduracers release is top notch. Can't wait for the finished endurance mod to get on rf2.
Merry Christmas dear Matt. May your box not be empty this time of the year. ;)
YES!! and you even drove them at palm springs! great car/track combo
Good Racing Mr box, looks like a mighty fine mod for sure.
Is this a Regular Cars references? I love that channel!
+Leonardo Bruno No, but same here. RCR rocks!
Thanks for the recommendation! Lots of fun in these, and Loch Drummond...HOLY CRAP
Homestead-Springs
yay, you've raced with Giermaziak's car! ^^
Man, I would pay way too much for this exact car in iRacing, just for the looks and sounds
ah man... nice handling there in last moments... Anyway was confused what to buy on steam on sale right now... but after seen this video will go for rFactor 2 over AC and Dirt Rally.
11:35 Reminded me of my childhood where Niel Crompton would tell me to listen to a lap of Mark Skaife tear up a lap of Bathurst. thanks empty
I wanted to switch to rF2 when Enduracers release their Endurance Series mod, but seeing this, it might be sooner indeed.
This thing, in the rain, on slicks, at Silverstone. SOO.MUCH.FUN....
nice job racing "not" Porsche cup cars at "not" homestead
Merry Christmas!
Love the sounds of these cars......not as good as many of the Ferraris, IMO.....but still pretty sweet.
You know what you need to do now, don't you?... drive round Bathurst with these bad boys, and become the "new new Champ"!
At first I was like "Whaat, there's a major oval in Palm Springs, CA? Since when?" Then I realized it was unlicensed Homestead :(
you should get 21:9 monitor... it's the best thing for single monitor racing.
+Neurotyczny Kot But how would you capture that for youtube? That'd be cool but it'd be difficult to put on here I reckon
you can upload wide vid like normal vid... there is no special method..
I'd like to get that Acer X34 but the price and the fact that my rig probably can't handle that res at 100hz is keeping me away.
The title reminded me of Mr. Regular a bit.
+Alfa Q Which Corvette is best Corvette?
+Martin Cerman nahh.... Which Mustang is Best Mustang is the classic!
I like both, but had more lols during the Corvette show parody.
It's ultimately not important which car is said in that line. It could be anything and still be hilarious.
Amazing, cannot wait to get home to try it out
In the official site it says the mod has auto blib disabled, i.e. Have to manual rev match when downshift (mimicking the real sequential gearbox use in the gt3 cup car). However seems like the car does auto blib, or that there is no jerky and wheel lockup effects when rev match is not done. I hope they fix it; would make driving this mod more fun and real.
+Tom Chak Known issue that they are working on fixing.
good to know... thanks
Like the fact that things disappear in the rear view mirror lol
Just subbed to this on the steam workshop! I hate having to download and manually check for updates. Steam workshop just makes things so much easier. I'm sure if rfactor 1 mods were on steam workshop, the game will continue to as big as it is.
Gives a "not available on this device" error on the Apple TV.
If only someone would bring the World Sportscar Championship 1970 mod to rF2 and update it to the same standards... I probably wouldn't drive anything else for long time if that happened.
Poland Stronk! (K. Giermaziak's car)
Merry Christmas Matt
At first I thought this was a version of Fontana, in California, but looking at they layout, it seems a lot like Homestead.
Sat here watching this video thinking... why the hell have i not bought Rfactor 2 yet
even for a flat track this track is so super ridiculously boring , thumbs up for having the patients to race on this bludger .
I just had a go with this Mod and I found the cars to be a little too planted. Couldn't really make them spin out at all!
Any chance of this being ported over to/made for Asseto Corsa? I'd love a car like this
What do you call that shaking when you upshift?
Awesome mod, pure sim driving heaven, will you be looking at RRE Formula at all, they are a lot of fun.
This mod is awesome. The cars feel authentic in every way in terms of handling and FFB (and FFB is adjustable in the Tuning menu!).

What is your wheel base setup, Box? I'm thinking of upgrading to a Thrustmaster TX.
look in the channel about section for everything but other wise he's got a fanatec club sport v2 wheel base

+Ryan Harris thanks for the tip,
I noticed the FFB was also a bit light on, detail was there but not quite to my liking on default settings
merry xmas matt
now if they would take the GSE and R Factor sound samples an move them to Assetto Corsa
Hi, great race. What AI difficulty are you using for this video?
+Jump Up Mixes 104 or something like that, 55% aggression, 0 limiter.

he must not have because he didn't know when this mod releases on steam workshop but he has it so...
+Kilrathi No. Still have 8 months of online access and don't see any real need to switch.
Pretty cool video showing-off the AI, looks like the 'best' available in PC-sims right now.
Any setup tweaks/suggestions for the Flat 6 ?
Great race!
Anyone else feel the subliminal urge to go to McDonald's?
dat straight cut gearbox! I like!
What AI settings do you run with the por... I mean flat sixes? :3
Box is thix mod feel like the Blancpain mod for Stock car extreme

+rensdekok raised the ride heights (to accommodate the banking transitions better) and softened the FARB to the softest but still attached setting.
I did have to fiddle with the setup a bit on some courses, the cars feel a little floaty in the rear end.
+Leynad Jee i did pretty much the exact same :)

The title....
b.....but... muh Straight sixes ;-;
in all seriousness tho, Great vid like always.
How is the online racing in rFactor2?
+John Bigbooty Join a league. GPVWC.com is a really good one. They currently using RF2 and have everything from F1 leagues to touring cars as well Indycars and a GT Series.
+John Bigbooty dead because of the fucking stupid online pass
+Soleimsen It'll come up eventually.
+Empty Box I hope you'll enjoy the new one as much as SCE :)
Merry Christmas, hey guys I got a T150 but I don't know how to change the DoR anyone know how? Also, what DoR should I use for Sim racing? THANKS. ☺🎅🎅🎅
+ClassicFuel thank you
+Ability Points you shouldn't need to in rfactor 2; it will auto change it to match the rotation that the real car uses
Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal. :D
i wish iracing had such good sound
I wish more people would see RF2 for the absolute gem that it is. Husky42/Pkv-fan here and having been around and having ran around during F1C in the SCC days with you Empty the type of fun I have here is similar to the experience had back then.
RF2 needs this car, but it needs more people to spend time withe stock content and then start modding. Assetto Corsa looks pretty but god it drives mediocre.
+Sawbonespc Man oh man how much fun I had with SCC. That Panoz LMP1 Roadster man, love that car!
Remember the sounds that came out a little later on, forgot who did them but they were amazing, that car had such a nasty scream to it and sure enough somebody managed to get it as close as they could with F1C
Kinda miss those days, they were simpler but the arguing was still as ever present, just in a different way.."you stole my skin for your mod" and illegal conversions from GP4.
+Roarore88 It doesn't have anywhere close to the car count, and the vast majority of cars are race cars of various sorts.
+Roarore88 car list is on the rFactor website, theres only a dozen and most are high performance. I think youre referring to the street cars from forza, which this game doesnt have. except for that ice cream truck
rFactor 2 is the best!
love the track
Hate those sounds they are using since ever but definitely worth trying
Meh, missing the bouncy front end. At least iRacing got that right haha
Guys is it worth it to buy life time subscription of Rfactor 2 what is the online community like is it as bad as the keyboard driver's in AC?
+Counter Russianstrike Generally rF2 pub racing is better quality, probably due to the fact it's far less mainstream. That said, it's also pretty inactive outside of leagues.
+Empty Box Leagues like iRacing leagues? just bought the game and a year of subscription
Counter Russianstrike
Yea, like a league for any game. Organized groups taking the game seriously.
+Empty Box sound's good ill hopefully get further than i did in iRacing only made it to D series
Just decided to jump in and have a go but sadly this game is a joke spent an hour trying to configure my wheel/pedals however according to this game there is no controllers present but there is a preset for my wheel (HURRAY!) ... that does nothing sadly refunding this whilst i can.
This is homestead
that´s a great mod (finally) but hell...that banner in the windscreen is god damn ugly :D
so Homestead?...
