I think your pained longing for the vocals to come back was the intended response. It's the musical incarnation of that same pain and longing that Vessel feels as he stops kidding himself and comes to terms with the reality that he can't be with this person 😢. As a composer myself I love that shit...when music so perfectly reflects the emotional intent 😍.

You know a reaction channel is legit when they give honest criticism -- This is one of my favorite songs on the album because of that insane chorus with the rising melody, and still I SO badly wanted to hear that vocal line come back around during the latter half with all the energy from the instruments going.

This song is so underrated. Its been one of my favorite tracks over the last year and a half. Im someone who listens to a lot of metalcore/Deathcore/Death metal but this song just hits different man. Beautiful song.
