Really appreciate these videos. I’m working with my Dad to restore my great grandfather’s 40s. I’ve worked on cars but never an old tractor. Learning lots of little tricks to get her running again. Hope to get the tractor looking as pretty as yours!
The engineers during the vintage of this 1953 tractor were much more thoughtful for the end user. Square shouldered bolts allowed for minimal tools. Farmall's were designed with the same thought process.
Thanks Dairle.
Helpful and well done. Thank you sir.
Thank you!
Beautiful tractor. Great to see how you are proud of it.

That's a beautiful tractor, thanks for sharing. I have a 1954 model 40 T designation. Is yours the same?
It's very close, mines is a 1954 40S
What type of fluid does it use?
The Manual call for 90w. I use 85w-140.
Can i put a front end loader on a john deere 40?
Yes, but I think it would be bad for your steering. It would take away some of the performance from your Tractor.
@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 I might pick up a 40 john deere. Curious what loader would fit it?
