I'm a little rusty on the lore but I can give you some info. Basically, Frisk defeated the King and left the underground, when the monsters found out, Undyne became Queen, then a food shortage happened and the monsters began to slowly starve, turning them into what you see in the game There might be more to it but this is what I can remember, hope it helped XD

In Canon…he actually Ripped Aliza’s arm off with just his Strength…and he’s also Immortal(only if the core isn’t destroyed as it has his eye in it cause of Queen) Also Horrortale isn’t an AU but rather an AT(Alternate Timeline of Undertale after a neutral run)
