If I'm recalling it right, in the korean version Thyme's father was the one that passed away, so it was the start line of the fiance plot. In here the no1 bussiness man died so Parama group was the next in line. But in K version Parama group (it was Shinwa in there) was already on top, but Thyme's dad passed away so as the heir of the company, he was basically forced to take over the responsibility by his mother. He stops hanging out with F4 because he's so busy with the work stuff and then he goes to China for bussiness maters, Gorya follows after him to surprise and support him there and that's how the fiance plot starts. She even get's herself in trouble and Lita saves her and that's their first meeting

This is my fave episode. Romantic, happy & sad, i cried for Lita too, i think she did great in this scene. We know Unintentionally Thyme made Lita fall for him, so i understand Lita's revenge here. TBH this is a very meaningful version of MT/BOF. I'm over Taiwan's now and They fall into 2nd place on my list lol.🙈
So sad they only have 4 more episodes left 😭 I'm not ready for the ending yet! I wish they make a Season 2

Thyme is so lucky that Lita didn’t go crazy and involve his mother. She must of been so heart broken especially since thyme said he would try with her. At least she stop the engagement because she deserves better anyways.

In the K version.. I'm pretty sure Thyme's mom resorted to lying to her kids and the world that her husband was dead. Thyme's dad was kept hidden in the family home on life support... It was a really messed up storyline. Thyme's mom used his father's "death" to guilt trip Thyme and keep him and Gorya apart.
Very curious to see if Thyme's mom will go after Gorya's friends now... she's done this in other versions to get Gorya to leave Thyme.

I thought the reason she became a maid in the Korean version. Was because the mom bought the house that the FL was living in and she became homeless. The sister took her in and told her she could stay there at the house. She would only stay if she could work. That's how she became a maid.
The fact that all 4 of you guys were shookith for the Kanning x Kavin scene then getting finessed by the abrupt ending, made me laugh because that was my exact reaction to that part. 😂😂 It was like you wanted this episode right then and there. Love you reactions as always.
I'm sure they will give Thyme's Mom a back story it shown twice that she's the root of the red card...and when it showed twice there's something in her story that makes her bad.
I'M SO READY FOR KANING AND KAVIN STORY!!! I love this couple honestly, and Kaning character. So I'm excited to see if they are going to go the route of the 2nd couple lik the Chinese version or are they going to go different with them. It looks lik it may be similar but Im excited to see, and love u guys reactions.
What I recall in K version is the mom’s body pguard brought Jundee to visit one patient who seems can only lay down in bed. Her job was to take care of him either talk and read him a book. And that man turn to become Jun peau’s dad. At the end he got better and partially recover and his mom passed all businesses to Jun Peaw and take care of her husband. Happy ending.

The getting-off the clothes thingy, also happened in the other versions (Taiwan, Japan, China) i just don't know about Korea if they also did that scene.

Sorry, but I still don't feel bad for Lita. Especially if you think about it, the guy she fell in love with would have never existed if it wasn't for Gorya. But on the other hand I do love how they ended her storyline with as Dee said "people taking accountability for their actions." I also agree with Christine that this story does keep you guessing even though you've seen other versions. In the others we kind of got a back story for the mom but I wonder if they what her back story will be in this one. By the way ya'll HSM references were near and dear to my heart.

in Meteor Garden Taiwan, Lita character did stripped off to seduce Dao Ming Xi but ended up hurting herself, Dao Ming Xi doesnt love her.
I mean the scenes when Lita gets naked in front of Thyme she really doesn't "get naked" because she enters the room wearing pants, kinda jeans pants, but I can't be sure about that! Anywayssza it is sad!
In the Korean version the mother brought the building and she was out on the street and fainted that when the sister called her and she ended up in the mansion and she wanted to work for getting free board and food ( The f4 didn't had any thing to do with it). And what Dee was talking about it when they found Ren Grandfather and he was sick and Jandi moved him in to Ren house. I think due to the amount of episode they have compact these episode very well.

1:31:15 I understand what Dee was talking about but it was not Thyme's grandfather, it was Ren's. In the korean version Ren's parents died in a car accident when he was like 6-7 or smt (he even was having ptsd about driving because of that) Ren had a grandfather but he was thinking that the reason of the accident was Ren because he distracted the parents, so they were not seeing each other, were not in touch. But at some point the grandfater comes in to the stroyline. He was sick, he wanted to make up with Ren because he accepted that the accident was not Ren's fault and etc. So long story short; the grandfather meets with Gorya without both knowing each other's relationship with Ren. After some stuff the grandfather gives his approval to Gorya but it's not about Thyme it's about Ren
lita's reaction initially was spot on. how are you supposed to react to the person you're in love with promising you he'd try to love you then forget about you the second the girl that he's in love with responds, not to mention, the girl you're friends with as well??? and this whole time they've been lying and going behind your back??? SHE WAS VALID IN WHAT SHE DID.
though because she wasn't a bad person at the end of the day, she came through. she realized she needed to love herself more rather than chasing after someone who's unworthy and undeserving of her. I'm glad lita and ren are out of their mess, thank god. they both deserve better.
moreover, thyme apologists just annoy me simply because of their hypocrisy like omg, our baby boy has a sob story, he has mommy issues, poor thyme, that's why he decided to make everyone around him miserable but look he's changed so you can't hold anything against him but you can hold the minor of mistakes against everyone else who're actually acting according to the situation. lmao. hypocrites.
I could say the same towards people who really think Ren deserves better, when it's for the entire series that everyone brush off his bs moves and think he's an angel when he definitely isn't.

I completely agree that Lita was just acting up and I actually loved her in this version more. The scene with her parents was my favorite of the episode for how emotional it was, but talking about Thyme apologists really makes me laugh, because between all thethe F4, he's so far the most real and consistent character...to not mention that all of them should have apologized to their victims, but he was the only one who did it.
Also, if Lita loved Thyme there must have been a reason...multiple reasons actually. So, "undeserving" it's a big word for that matter.

I'm sorry but the other three were more guilty bystanders than anything. thyme was actually the only problematic one. they even tried talking him out of it but it didn't happen until he found his therapist in gorya instead of actually seeking help. the victims wouldn't actually hold it against just him if that weren't the case, lmao. don't come onto my comment the next time trash talking a character that is, infact, unproblematic to defend the man child that is thyme.

Him being part of F4 and him helping Gorya when nobody is there or using excuses and not stopping the bullying at school (like when he stayed there watching when Thyme was cutting her shoe and when he was being an ass, or when he used the France excuse instead of being like "Thyme stop it, this is too much") and let's remember that he still pays to witness all that.
Him always running from problems or avoiding them like how he did with Mira, when he told her "you're going to live a life without a care to anyone" and putting himself before her dreams (even Gorya calls him out and says that he doesn't do anything and that he's always afraid to face reality), him pushing Gorya when he's "above violence", him using Gorya in episode 6 and playing with her feelings, him going behind Thyme's back (and don't tell me he was kidding), him avoiding his best friend and not telling him what was going on, when Thyme was worried about him intstead, him being the whole reason (and partially Gorya) of episode 7th's mess and him still messing with the situation, when he could have resolved it talking with Thyme (him going on a date with Gorya instead of clearing the air with both his friend and her and him messing with Thyme just for a stupid confession that he could have received if he had been more civil, already from the previous episode), while people say that he was just "testing them", when first he doesn't have the right to and second that was messed up af.
At the end, everything is resolved with him going like "I did this just so you could sort out your feelings, I'm the reason why you can be together now", when he's the biggest reason of this whole mess in the first place.
Ren might be a nice person who cares about others, but he's not perfect, he's sometimes selfish, hypocritical and he makes mistakes too, but everything gets untouched, when situations are resolved even if his ways are wrong, he could have just been honest and upfront and a lot of the mess could have been avoided...
Also, nobody is unworthy of love, if you really wanna say something, that would be that he's not the one for Lita...but he's not "unworthy of her love", because she has reasons why she fell for him in the first place and that's still her business if he doesn't reciprocate.
I admit everything Thyme did, acknowledge his mistakes and hate the way he used to act because I know how it feels to be on the other side, but I hate hypocrisy even more and I can't stand who thinks that Ren is an angel and that he only "acts out" in episode 6, when that's not the only time he did sketchy stuff.
People saying that you wouldn't call it "acting out" and instead call it "human responses"...so you're saying that everything F4 did is just a "human response", because in a way or another they were all acting out (if Ren can do it because of a heartbreak, Thyme can do it because of mommy issues... but that's not how it works).
Ren has had his moments too and honestly always making him pass as the angel of the situation irks me and not a bit...
It's not about defending Thyme and this doesn't have anything to do with his wrongdoings, I'm talking about people just making everything that Ren does, pass as righteous and just, when it's not always the case and while the others are subjected to judgment (except for the apologies in episode 11, because Thyme was the only one who did that), he is the only one who gets out unscathed...always.
How can you call Ren unproblematic? There's nobody in the bunch who hasn't been unproblematic at least once.
Even MJ, who is the most motherly and responsible between them now, at the beginning of episode 1, was literally betting on Phupha's life with Kavin, deleting all the proofs and having fun with the sight (and in the middle of the episode went like "Thyme, isn't it time to cancel the red card?"...as if he had the right to say something, even if he was being really concerned about his friend), while Thyme was beating that boy's ass and Ren was turning his back from the problem with the "I don't like this, so I'm just gonna go away" type of attitude.

first of all, he loved mira. he had every freaking right to atleast be upset and ask her to stay. not to mention, if he could mention things like 'youre leaving behind my future with you' then that means mira was aware of his feelings as well. thats why she didn't say anything back either. he was ready to give up on her but gorya pushed him to fight, so he did. him pushing her tho was not it, I agree tho he was right to get mad at her.

while we're on it, let's talk about it. ep 6 ren was heartbroken and he had no way of knowing how serious thyme was. he came onto the scene knowing gorya held feelings for him and he had every right to want to reciprocate now that he was available. gorya even clearly said 'they weren't a thing, thyme assumed things'. that gives ren every right to see where he stands in her life and that's what he did. just bec thyme decided gorya was his girl doesn't mean ren should back out. ren never pushed her or forcefully decided they were a thing, lmao. he approached her like any normal person would, took her out on a date and when he realized gorya actually doesn't love him, gave up. and that was after, thyme threw him off f4. he had no moral obligations to uphold then.
ep 7 was his fault?? really??? you say you hate hypocrites but you wrote a whole essay trash talking ren and blaming him for things he isn't even guilty of. ep 7 was just baby thyme lashing out bec he couldn't get his therapist's positive response. that's what it was. he had no freaking right get mad at rengorya when they were comforting eachother during ren's most vulnerable moments. yes, gorya shouldn't have lied, (ren never did) but seeing the way thyme did act out and all the trauma he caused her, I don't blame her. ren had every right to not say shit to thyme bec he doesn't owe him anything. he opened up to gorya bec that's someone who was aware of his predicament with mira fully and someone whom he trusts enough to be vulnerable with.
and seriously? ren KNOWS thyme. he knows he wouldn't be getting a confession out of thyme unless he resorts to angering him into admitting what he feels just so he could tell him that gorya returns them too. (gorya hadn't admitted her feelings prior to this, either) so yeah, thyme wasn't as normal as to have a friendly conversation after what he pulled in the school. altho, ren did initially ask him at the school to talk to him but seeing how thyme was behaving, came up with a plan.
lastly, I never said thyme is unworthy of love. clearly he has his therapist and caretaker. thyme is unworthy of lita's love tho bec she does deserve better after how he played her. they really downplayed how awful he treated her.
Lita did take her clothes off in the Chinese version...I don't know if she did it in the Taiwanese too...
