England really is beautiful. I started watching these canal videos because they reminded me of swimming in the river when I was a kid. I grew up just over the main road from The Bloody Steps (the area in which Christina Collins body was found). My mother and I used to walk along the canal and over the fields to go visit my aunty in Colton (a tiny village between Rugeley and Great Haywood). I've not been back there properly for donkey's years, but I have gone through on the train when I've taken my pooch up to stay with his breeder in Blackpool. So many lush green open spaces and rolling hills. As I told you before, my great great grand parents were narrow boat dwellers. According to the census, there were 6 girls, two parents and a lodger living in the space you have as your boatman's cabin!!! Can you imagine?!? wow. I am in awe of your lifestyle, it looks great. I very much enjoy your videos.
Where you were first moored was the British countryside at it's most idyllic and the rest of the journey was to die for too. As usual your a great host more please.

Hey Heidi, on our way on our little trip we passed your boat moored up by Venetian and then on our way back we passed as you had just moored up by the Barbridge so this vlog brought back memories of our trip 😊👍
I bought two Jackery 1000 amp batteries and I love them. I've had them two years and they are stupendous, hold a charge over winter months of non-use, and are efficient about charging the things I need charged, without discharging too soon during my summer months of caravaning/RVing here in the Pacific Northwest of the USA with all of the trees here so my solar isn't always the most efficient. Jackery batteries are super. I've owned two other brands ... tossed them in the dumpster. Wow, great music event ... love the dancing people who attended it. 🙂 Wish I could be there this July. What is your website where we can buy badges and such from you? You are probably already posting that in the heading, but I don't see it. You've talked about the concerns about owning a deep draft boat ... but those gals (boats are female after all) are the best. Steady, dependable, ok maybe a little bit touchy on occasion, but they are the best. Deep draft! Pottering On The Canal ... got that. What a concept to simply love and support each other, no matter. I love your vlogs, the country, the canals, the people, the towns, your work on your boat, your music, all the history of the canals. I just love it. Here's to Fishless Clive with hopes it gets a fish! Rum time!
Ah Venetian, my parents moored their canal boat there for years. I remember our dogs stealing the Christmas turkey that mum had left to defrost on the bow steps on Christmas day 😅 she was 🤬🤬

Rum time!
Aww thanks for the lovely comment 😄🏴☠️ my website is thepirateboat.co.uk
Hi Heidi,
Great vlog as usual, and interesting journey with lovely scenery. Looks like you had a good time at the festival.
Have a good weekend. x
Thanks Bill, yes a lot of fun thank you 😃🏴☠️
Ah Venetian, my parents moored their canal boat there for years. I remember our dogs stealing the Christmas turkey that mum had left to defrost on the bow steps on Christmas day 😅 she was 🤬🤬
Oh eck 😂😂
