Emerald, I think it’s really neat the way an entire saw log can be cut, even to width in its entirety. Cold but at least it isn’t raining and Spring is just over the horizon.

Use a little Sea Foam additive in your diesel fuel...truckers choice
Makes a huge difference to starts and exhaust.
My favorite part was when you speed up...and everyone runs around like ants on a hill...

When you said it was 19 or 20 degrees out I thought "that's hot for winter" then I remembered you use F° not celsius as we do here in Canada. lol (19 C is about 66° F) lol

Good job thinking about and putting into actions efficiencies of motion ladies! I'm impressed 😊 Investing in a battery operated, hand held nylon banding tool would be useful. They're quick to use so you could throw a band around customer orders and stacks of finished material so you can move them around the yard without risk of falling over. One single strap roughly centered should do. 😊 You mention board and batten siding. You could skinny up your slab cut so you can get at least one batten out of each second cut. By eye, it looks like a lot of your slabs have or are close to having at least one batten in them 😊 All the best to the family!

The thing I like most about this channel is ladies work ethic! There are a whole bunch of grown men out there this day and age that could take notes! I worked a good portion of my life as a mill write in sawmills of the Pacific North West. 80 hour weeks were not uncommon! 48 to 72 hour days were not uncommon! When the mill is down and you are cutting 300,000 board foot a day that is about $20,000 dollars a minute. Think about that. Day shift had 3 mill writes swing and graveyard only had one! I won't go into all the duties but it kept a person running all the time.
It is so refreshing to see the youngsters working hard and actually give a shit about what they are doing!
