- My long-awaited clear plastic King Of The Dead and the Warriors Of The Dead for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game FINALLY arrived after around 6 months of waiting. I suppose they arrived precisely when they meant to?

I have a look at the two sets and go through a quick unboxing and review of the clear plastic sprues. I talk about the different plastic they have used for the sets and demonstrate how you clip them off without breaking the more brittle plastic. It will be interesting to return to this set and show off the painting techniques on them which should enhance the final look.
Did you get your clear plastic Warriors Of The Dead? Do you have some hints and tips for painting them for MESBG?

Nice review, i have so many of these in the plastic, painted and ready to paint one day that not sure i will try these. They are rather expensive. I have lots of experience with Archon Games clear plastic models a d did not find problems when removing from sprues. Some people of the wraith models has very small appendices too..
Yeah - as someone who didn't have any, I thought it was worth the punt but I think if you've already got loads like you say, it might be a bit much!
Not sure on these. I like the idea but prefer the original of which I purchased some from EBay this year for the first time and painted up along with the King and His Herald which I purchased at Salute 24. Really like the kits though and think they were a great new idea.
Yeah I am on the fence. I like the idea but not sure until I take some time to get paint on them!

Super cool! I don't think I would even paint those guys at all just leave them in all their clear plastic Glory. I suppose these are hard to find yes? I bet you they are already sold out.
My local gaming store had some but not sure on their availability widely. They were made to order last year so they might have all been sold at this point unfortunately.
Were they so long cos you had to find the Stone of Erech to summon them?

It will be interesting to see how plastic glue works with the different plastic, and if it has any affect on the translucent appearance.
Yep, that's the next step at the moment - wondering if it clouds the miniatures at all or warps them
Kind of wish they were completely clear so inks could be used to tint them with gradients.
