It's not amazing at all. When you are printing fakes to yield the value of a card to always be 10's if not 100's of dollars, you can print on the highest quality process. When you are printing 99% of your cards to be worth $0.01, and occasionally a higher value card, you have to compromise. What is amazing is that wotc has as good of a process as they do.
I believe you but to put the haters to rest you should just ask them to donate to you so you can buy another force of negation so not only are you comparing the same set but also the same card.
Good idea. I don't need to ask for donations, but I can just buy a real force of negation from modern horizons to compare. They have dropped in price to only around $30 now
@@DismalDante glad you said that so many channels old and new always ask their viewers to donate buy them coffee etc just different ways of saying fund my hobbie glad your not one of them this is my first video of yours I've seen I hope this is the case gonna watch more now
How did you acquire this fake ?? I only ask because it's such a high quality fake I have worries about my collection and future trades .. thanks so much many blessings
@@DismalDante wow that is truly scary stuff from a collectors stand point... buyer beware I guess. Sorry ya got scammed though... did you have any suspicious about the card before discovering it was fake??
I am a bit paranoid about fake magic cards, so I check each one I buy with a jewelers loupe. I didn't suspect anything about this particular card when I first handed it, but under a jewelers loupe it was obvious. I was able to get my money back through eBay since I caught it right away.
That's pretty conclusive! I couldn't tell from the video, but does the fake have the same matte finish as on the back of a real card, or is it way too shiny?
Is there a possibility that older cards fail the green dot test and are still real? Bought a serras sanctum but there is no red "L" at all....i did the light test seems ok...uv light test also ok..
Hey for the security thing is it on every card I can’t find it I do the green dot test and they pass with ease I also packed these cards but I can’t find the mtg security thing you were talking about
The holo stamp is only on rare and mythic cards and are not on retro frame cards at all. But if there is a holo stamp, the security feature "Wizards" text should be there, but it's so small you would need a digital microscope to see it.
Newer more modern cards have red dots that are more faded than old school cards (as shown in this video) but it's best to look at the dot pattern inside the green dot in addition to the L red dots
The deal is that the fake cards just have to be "good enough". It use the be the light test, then they cards started passing that, then the overall quality got better and better. Next it is the green dot test and if that become more of a thing it will be copied.

@@DismalDante I know some older fakes I've come across have the cardback that is slightly out of focus, or looks a tad fuzzy. How does this one compare? You know, just from looking at it with your naked eye...
I'm my experience with fake cards the fakes are always thicker and you can feel the difference in your hand without sleeves compared to any real card. Real cards are lighter paper and less thick.
It's amazing the fake card actually has a higher resolution printing.

Really interesting video! Kinda makes me want to go through my collection lol
I could instantly see the fake FoN because of the font. I have seen those before with that slightly uncanny font.
This is scary, fake cards are very well done nowadays.

I bought it on eBay. It was sold as a legitimate magic card.

I compare the finish on my previous videos, but the finish on this fake card is in the same range of matte/glossy as real magic cards
very well done
i wonder just how many fake cards there are floating around the ccg market at any given point
Probably quite many.
I wish I could find fakes that good

I don't think it can be real, but do the volcano test as well as shown in th-cam.com/video/6PJ-RewqjTU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=E_ldNhJM_INq4iVo
Would you mind sharing the digital microscope you used in doing this, I’d like to buy one.

Hey for the green dot, can the red dots for the L fade? I'm roughly new to MTG so im just unsure, even if the seller is certified

I'm genuinely curious if it is from that proxy king site i see on google, that scares me.
The sticker actually loooks the same from the site, they have a force of negation that looks scarily real from their photos.
More people should see this.

How does the texture of the card feel compared to real cards?
The texture feels just like a real modern card

@@arkvinin I cannot tell any difference in this card vs a real one with the naked eye. No fuzziness that I can see.
Great vid thx
If you bend it a real card doesnt crease, a fake one might
The bend test doesn't work for fakes anymore, as the fakes also are made on similar printing press with a core in the middle that allows flexibility
