Cynthia's approach theme is menacing, combined with this, it feels like she went from menacing to wrecking everyone's shit at light speed.

cynthia is nowhere near as hard as people meme her to be, kids are just abysmal at building teams. wow a box legend, a level 70 starter, an underlevelled staraptor and three other random underlevelled pokemon die to her team? truly unexpected!
(this is all for the remake, as obviously fairies don't exist in the DS games:)
her garchomp dies easily to even badly invested game progression EVs clef w/ specs (which you should probably use if youre even slightly smart) who can survive the earthquake no matter what and her spiritomb nearly dies to uninvested no item clef (and she's in the Sinnoh dex in D/P!)

@@rev_uwu_tion In Platinum, it's hard not to keep an underleveled team when Cynthia's lowest leveled pokemon is 8lvls higher than Volkner's highest leveled pokemon. In DP, the difference is higher, at 11 levels.

I love that the Pokémon community will always disagree on things like which generation is best, or #BringBackNationalDex, etc. But the one thing that they unanimously agree on is that Cynthia is the toughest champion of them all

Ah I'm pretty sad, I grew up in a generation that came after D/P/P, which was BW but I am glad I was able to fight her just not as the champion. (Who knew walking into to random houses in Undella would lead to PTSD, I didn't even know who she was at the time lol)

Lol, btw I like your dp reminds me of my Gallade that helped in sweeping through Cynthia's team with Froslass in my first Platinum Nuzlocke.
This is the best Cintya remix by far. Keeps the tempo and rithm, with subtle differences, that harmonize really well with the theme in general.

There’s such a thing as ice Pokémon... weavile or abamasnow with ice shard. Or even freakin any water type with ice beam. She isn’t THAT difficult. She’s fun and it’s a challenge, but not insanely difficult

I have always wondered what a Cynthia theme remix would sound like from you. I can say it shattered my expectations; it's amazing!
I actually skipped Gen 4, so I thought fighting Alder with his level jump was scary for me on Gen V... then I found out by accident the villa where she was in... and I was so confident that I can defeat her so i challenged her... and was summarily defeated... by just her Milotic... I did not even met her Garchomp.
She is the sole reason why I changed my team composition to cover more pokemon types and to over-level every single member of my team, even if I do not play competitively.
I would play diamond and pearls Pokemon league just for hearing this theme over and over again in my DS, still goes hard even after 2 years, she truly lives upto the title of champion of Sinnoh
