Multiple tries and several operators later, I finally solved the problem. I received a $100 instacart gift card as a gift. I then tried to credit the gift card number to my account. The number on the gift card said it was invalid. I called the Instacart operator who repeated the number and after several minutes, she said it should now work. Again I tried the same number but I saw the message that the number on the gift card had been redeemed. I called again and was told the credit was in my account. I then found that on 5/27/2024 a gift card had been redeemed by the Instacart operator to another old account that had an expired credit card, an old yahoo email address that I don’t have access to, and there is no activity on this account. I did not even know there was another account. I tried to transfer the correct credit to my account because of their mistake but they said they could not and since I could no longer access the Yahoo email, then I can’t access this account. Another words, I’m out of luck.
I finally found an Instacart operator that would look at my old link account and help me place an order. She said I had 2 old grocery list, 1 from Aldi for $106 minus the $100 credit leaving a balance of $6 and another 1 from Costco for $86 with a $100 credit which was free. So I said I would like the Aldi grocery list. She then said my balance with Visa was invalid and I told her because it has expired and gave her my active one. She said she could not accept it over the phone but had to open my account to add it which I could not access. I then said use my Costco list which was free and I did not have to use my expired Visa. She placed the order and said it would be delivered on 5/28/2024 between 11AM and 12 PM. I had no idea what was on the list that I had made long ago but considering the problems I had faced, something was better than nothing.
I waited for the delivery, but the time came and went. I called Instacart and was told my order had been canceled and my link account was deactivated but my primary account was fine. I don't have idea why. I was then told I would have to complete a form that could be sent to my Yahoo account to reactivate the account.. I told them I could not access the Yahoo email and they said there is nothing they can do. It doesn't matter what I do, they only place obstacles in my way.
Again I called a different operator and was told my account was deactivated but they would send me the form within 24 H and I verified my charter.net email. I could be wrong but I don't trust it to be sent but I could be wrong.
It has been 24 H since the Instacart operator, Mallela Vannuru, promise to email me the reactivation forms. I didn't count on her honoring her promise, but I'm a little surprised because she seemed so willing to help.
After another exchange with another Instacart specialist, I have waited 48 H just special Instacart agent, Korrapadu, asked and nothing. He empathized with my problem and said he would immediately email the forms to my charter.net address. I was instructed to open up my input and spam folder but there was nothing. OK then, he then said my linked account would be reactivated within 48 H and a specialized team would email the solution to my problem. That never happened.
I worked as a General Manager for Hilton Hotels and problems occasionally occurred, especially when my employee made the mistake, but I tried to minimize a bad guest's experience and resolve the problem, that was my purpose. This seems my problem is being passed around and no one is willing to step up and solve my problem.
I have been fooled again. It is obvious that Instacart operators and special agents are only told what to say by the management but was never given nor taught the power to solve any problems, Unfortunately, it is a disservice to guest as well as employees, that is how they learn problem solving skills not parroting words of management. It should be called a complaint line not a help line. I guess I will have to plea my case to Sam's Club and my credit card company.
After thinking on it for a while, I have finally learned principles and fair play does not compare to a companies profitability when policy is concerned. I should have carefully listened when numerously operators and agents said “i would like to help but unable to” while other operators stay on script and repeat what they were taught to say. I hope it was an honest mistake but I have to say, why in the world would someone redeem a gift card to an account that was no longer active, that never had any activity on it, and to an account whose email was probably inactive anyway. When the mistake was made, it would be easy to transfer the credit to correct account, it happens all the time, but because of the profitability policy, that could never happen. Why was the Costco grocery list the operator had paid for was mysteriously canceled and the account deactivated. It is because of profitability. Finally, why were there 3 operators never able to email the reactivation forms to my charter.net email. Once again it is a profitability policy. The idea of grocery delivery was a good one, especially for the elderly unable to drive, but Instacart has a lot of financial issues and I have been reading a lot of horror story reviews. They have a tendency to lower their principles for profitability which is never a good thing but doesn't everyone. I have now accepted the idea that the gift card problem will never be resolved and I will never buy anything from Instacart again. I understand looking at the big picture, it's not very important, but I'm tired of being lied to again and again about this incident, there is no special team working on this and no email response or forms.

I started shopping with Instacart a few months ago. I enjoy it for the most part.
Hey! I just wanted to make a couple of really quick comments. One, if you don't have your physical card yet, you will only see offers from places that accept digital payment. Costco requires a physical card so until you have a physical card activated, you will not see Costco is an option. Two, until you hit a certain number of deliveries, you can cancel without any penalty without affecting your rate.3) after you activate your physical card, order a second card and keep it in your car. The strips on these cards wear out very quickly and if you can't swipe your card on a place that doesn't take digital payment, you have to cancel the batch and you won't get paid after all that work.
Very helpful thank you
Thanks! Started noticing a hint of fading on my card. Im about 11 batches in, when do you think I can cancel orders? Had a order I regret recently and it didnt let me 😵💫

In my area once you cancel the cancellation goes up immediately
Why keep it in your car? Wouldn't it be better to just keep it on you with the other card?
Thank needed some guidance
I shopped 80 items yesterday, was only 3.5 miles and $77 but so incredibly good but shopping is not for me lol
Wow!!! We don’t see many batches like that in Ohio
I needed a side hustle and I thought I would give food delivery a shot. Never did I ever think that I would actually LOVE doing it! I have learned everything I know about food delivery from you, Bri. Thank you!
I just started instacart and made over $1000 a week I just uploaded my video. I try to do Door Dash but is so small income.
Show me how😢
I am going to start being a shopper. I recvd my card and all. I’m nervous bc I have a 5 yo daughter with autism that I would bring with me. I need more money besides my weekend job. Idk why I’m so afraid that I’m not going to know what do when I ring out. Are there any special ways that stores require u to do? 😢 I just need to do it and quit being a baby 😂
I've been doing Instacart for 2 years. I ALWAYS send a greeting. As soon as I hit Start Shopping, I send the greeting, then start shopping.
ive been shopping for 4 years now and have never sent a greeting. Do you think it is needed? instacart sends a message that the shopper has started shopping the order. thats good enough for me. ive been at 5 stars for 4 years. I dont like to spend anymore time texting the customer than i must. Ive got my seconds per item stats down to 78 .
Nvr thought of that. Is that a personal greeting or a generated one from IC?
@@Mike49503 It's one of the generated ones. I use the same one each time, regardless. But I think you can also do a custom greeting. I do the short and sweet because it works for the customers who are using the app, and it also works for the customers that come across as "guest."
do you which apps can integrate or link with Instacart?
I never sent 1 greeting ever. People don’t care.
Send a greeting, and speak with customers. Always ask for replacement if the item is not available
Shelves...Count from bottom up.
Thanks for the tip!
beware of the multiple cases of water going to an apartment to the 3rd floor
Lol
4:58 shelf 1 starts at the bottom and u go up from there… bottom to top lowest to highest shelf 1-6
Thanks for the tip!
Hi, Bri! Excited to see you doing something new.😀 I’ve been an Instacart shopper for 4 years. Instacart was the first app I ever got on. I don’t know if it’s true anymore, but I wasn’t seeing some stores when I first started because I had not submitted a picture of my bags for delivery. Some stores, like Costco, require this before shopping at their store. You might want to check on that. Also, I always click the 3 black dots in the top right corner of the app before I start the batch because this will give you an overview of the batch including the items, if they want order changes or not, delivery information, etc. I always send a greeting message before I start shopping. It’s good customer service and also makes them aware that you’re shopping so hopefully they’re watching for any possible substitutions or questions. Good luck! Great first shop!
First thing...sit in front of a hot grocery store...im not sure whats popping on that side but Publix is a sure bet...if you know Sams Club or Costco..that works but i dont do those. Too big. Too irritating to find stuff.
Youre very good at shopping so you can definitely rise high and fadt on this one..as i always anticipated.
I love self check out for Triple orders...i dont need the check out people to mix stuff up.😂 Learned my lesson long ago on that .
Good tips! Thanks!
It looked like you might have blocked that lady's door with the last shopping bag you put down. Watch out for that and good luck! Im new with IC too let me know if you make more money from IC or your videos. 👍
I hope you like it♥️
Been doing instacart for almost 3 years. I was making close to 400-500 in 3 days .now I barely make 100 since there is new shoppers and they took everything no matter the pay or miles.i switched to spark and doordash
giver uber eats a chance! I lve had better tipping order on there than DD but every market is different
I agree it's getting worse.its difficult getting 1 shopper. They want you to do 3 shopper.i refuse to do 3 shoppers
I been hearing that. A lot of jobs are the same way with slow peak . Summer time coming no one likes to shop with kids either.
@shorts_luv7634 what do you mean by do 3 shoppers?
Great video but I think food is faster in a restaurant 😊 just grab and go for $11
I did instacart many years ago when it was lucrative. The higher paying ones are the early ones in the morning. You have to quickly accept to beat the other early bird shoppers. There was this husband and wife instacart shopper that was fun to watch in the morning while they split the shopping. Food delivery pays more than what you spend shopping.
The food deliveries down here in the south Florida area. I’ll work three hours. I’ll be lucky if I get $25 so I thought Instacart might pay more because Uber eats and DoorDash are only four dollar orders maybe six dollar orders if you’re lucky
Congrats on your first Instacart. 🎉
Professional, informative, and gorgeous. Thank you!
I finally got off the wait list for Instacart recently so I'm new to it too. I did notice that there weren't many store options with the digital card. But once I activated my physical card, they all showed up! I've only done 2 batches so far but I'm excited to do more.
.. shhh baby sleeping don't knock ...dog will bark .. then will wake the baby .. 🖐️😆

Have watched your videos for a few months. Thank you for your hard work. Have done IC since October 2023. Have had diamond status since January. Diamond definitely helps with the availability of batches. When items are out of stock I get an associate to check in the back room while I keep shopping. The most frustrating aspect are customers that are unresponsive when trying to make replacements. Speed of shopping is the key to success. Just shopping one or two stores and getting to know the layout and build a good relationship with the associates is most beneficial. IC is definitely a good app to have in your gig toolbox.
I love IC. We have too many bots in our area, but this is one of my favourite apps to work. Watching from OK.
What happens with the bots? Like, fake orders that get cancelled, things like that..?
.. can't seem to get on insta cart .. waiting list nonsense .. when they first came out it wasn't in my area , too far locations .. now I'm on a waiting list since they're everywhere .. The people I see delivering in my neighborhood , have their pants hanging down with their underwear showing .. guess that's who they want representing them ... 🤔
As I mention in one of your earlier videos, grocery shopping/pickup orders are the way to go. With customers now preferring to make their own food instead of either going out to dine or ordering from restaurants, I'm getting more Instacart and Walmart Sparks orders than I am with Doordash, Grubhub and Ubereats orders (and even with these three apps, I'm also getting more shopping orders than picking up at restaurants). As someone that use to hate shopping for other customers, I had to adjust if I want to make money and now I'm use to it and becoming a pro at it. So if you still want to make an earning doing what we're doing, you have to commit to doing grocery shopping.
Word of advice. Lose your lanyard. Yup, just “lose” it. Your dog ate it, a seagull stole it, anything lol
🤣
Am I seeing this right, 10K views on this one? you're well loved Bri! Thanks for the great content!
💜
$4 tip??? I would’ve dropped a $10 tip.
Ive been on the waiting list for a few months now.
You’ll make more money doing regular deliveries. But if you do grocery shopping you will have to wake up early to get higher paying ones.
I’ve been on the waiting list for over two years, but it seems like I’m not missing out from what I’m reading.
I've also been on the waiting list for 2 years😢
Thank you for this video! Im going to start Insta cart too. :)
Avery make sure you watch your number of units not necessarily number of items
Sorry Bri, I would hate this
Don’t know if anyone commented this yet. BUTTTT you can shop at same store but a different location that is closer to you rather than driving to the location they select for you. You can only do this if there is no alcohol on the order. If it is alcohol, you have to go to the store they select.
1000% not true. It won’t let you start shopping if you’re at the wrong store.
I'm not even getting out of my car for $11 , 30 should be the minimum to even consider otherwise you are just being taken advantage of.
I wish to do Instacart but my market has me in the waitlist
Great video im thinking of doing it are you still doing it as well?
Top right..batch details. Take screenshots of each order..with addy..just in case app glitch...or app freeze...move to next addy ..just take timestamp pic of dropoff (s)...get done hit CS support and have them complete batch.
What's addy?
I just finished my first month as instacart shopper. As a newbie, I was busy with orders. Now, it's like instacart has become a ghost town. I had no alerts for orders last week. I hope customers will start placing orders soon.
BRI I really enjoyed your ride along with your very first Insta cart order. Thank you for taking us along and I hope you produce more videos using Insta kart in the future.
It’s so easy 😂😂
I love instacart. Sunday is +5 dollars.
Costco is on shipt as well. They are supposedly merging with uber eats from what i read. We prefer instacart over any apps

I have been on the waitlist foreeeever lol
Anyone do insta cart in Vegas ? I’m thinking of doing this and I’m checking around seeing what it’s like in Vegas . I’m assuming it’s good money because it’s Vegas but I don’t want to just assume .
Keep up the good work kind person.
When you get your physical card you can shop at all stores
Why so many steps when you check out, spark driver just scan bar code and go? So this is more step than spark driver😃someone may get confused?
I absolutely hate shopping. I turned off shop and pay on Uber. Every time I do it, it takes so long. To me, it’s not worth the extra 15 minutes you are in the store and then the drive.
It's so much easier to make just as much if not better pay on door dash just picking up food to go. I made $120 last night in 4 hours.
What would you expect for a tip for 300 dollars for 10 items for 4 mile trip?
I started Instacart last month and it's a decent gig, the only downside is that orders are not offered to one driver at a time, so you have to be quick on the trigger to grab an order.
that sucks, been on instant cart and doordash waiting list, would rather not have to compete like that lol, no time to look at what is offered due to that?
Good to know!
@@sillywillie5076 On Saturday I saw a batch for $74.55 to shop at two stores relatively close to each other for 57 items total and I clicked right away and it started processing and I got a message that said that the job is no longer available. Since most top Dashers on DD don't like shopping, I'm prioritized for shop, pay & deliver orders with my 20% AR and they pay really well!
14 days?! Really? That’s a long time! Why not two hours as the same timeframe as the decrease or at least 24 hours like Spark! 🤦🏽♀️
Thanks for this video....gave me courage to try it myself!
Always love your videos, they are very helpful, your the best Bri .
Thanks 💜
Hopefully the distilled water isn’t to mix baby formula…
No minerals
Thanks for sharing 👏
Did you end getting mores batches once the card arrived?
Instacart doesn’t even tip that much and they want to 40 something orders for 20.00 it’s really not worth it
Thank you for your videos and they are very helpful!! 👍😎❤️
I was an Instacart and Shipt shopper a few years ago, did both for about 6 months. I found Shipt to pay better but both lacked tips, without tips it's not worth the time. I found the same with driving for Uber, 3 months and not one tip.
by 6 minutes into this vid, wow it's hard to even watch this.
Looks like some kind of horror of self destruction . not trying to be negative, but my gosh this 'job' looks like torture
and mind deadening . it's got to be just above begging for quarters in the parking lot
My app doesn't show what aisle my items are located in. That was nice yours did. 😊
What happens if you get a store that doesn't let you do apple pay and you don't have your physical card yet?
I tried this. I sat outside Walgreens for 30 minutes and didn’t get nothing.
Does it show you where their hosue is on the map b4 u.accept the order? I dont want to deliver to a ghetto area lol
Some weeks i dont get a offer i would want untill Wednesday or Thursday.
I being working like instacart like one year in half it’s ok
You do not need extra eye lashes, cute as you are. Voice is good & clear, image too. Thank you for your videos.
Great video. Very informative. I unfortunately can't get on to instacart as it's full in my market. However I have been able to do shipt which is another retail app so it worked out. I multi-app as well.
Thanks! I want to try Shipt next.
@@RideAlongWithBri I think you'll love Shipt once you do.
Im still on waitlist for Instacart here in Houston. 😢
Hang in there !! all markets are over saturated now
I just found your channel, I like the way you share your delivery experience, very details and clear. Keep up the good work !
5:39 it should be row 1. But the whole bottom row is a shelf…
I like this shop along with Bri idea
I have Instacart but it's real slow in my area.
Also Instacart doesn't show distance to the store
Dang could hardly hear you lol. Great video tho!
I’d love to come visit a relative and do some apps just to drive those areas. The homes and landscaping are unbelievable.
Doesn’t always mean they tip well though in my experience 😆
$4 for all that work? What a slap in the face.
it was a $4 tip, she got like $11 for it
At the top right side of the map under the ? logo if you hit that icon you can switch it to all stores now its set to stores you are most likely to see a batch from.
Thanks for the tip!
@RideAlongWithBri no problem and man after reading what I posted, I had to clean up the auto prediction that was a mess lol
@@Caspet78 -I love swiping for speed, but I think it is safe to say that English is not our phones 1st language.
Were you on a waiting list? If so how long? I just signed up so I’m waiting. 😁
Luckily I wasn't put on a waitlist. Hopefully you'll get off soon!
12:51 Costco only does physical card
Bri, this seems to be too slow for you. You like to keep the wheels moving! Lol
Lol hopefully it will pick up once I get my card 😊
I applied and got rejected lol
Run… run away as fast as you can.
where you live Brianna ?
Cosco is part of instacart
Instacart is horrible in the Phoenix market. I had to stop.
Same in my zone in mass. 3 batches, 30 miles, 20 bucks is all too often lol
Been on the waitlist over a year already
Hopefully you'll get off soon!
I’ve been doing IC for 2 years. They never did a “walkthrough” for the first order, just left me to flail, my first order had an out of stock item at Walgreens 😅. I watched a ton of TH-cam videos prior to starting. Pay attention to the store address on the main screen, you may get offers from far away. If there are no custom ordered items, you can usually shop at a different location, but you need to factor the store location into your total mileage. Mileage on preview is only from the store to the customer. Nice paying order for your first one 👍🏼

Excellent👍
Good morning Bri! I'm jealous lol. I'm still trying to get on instacart and spark. Congratulations! I hope you have a great week!
me too, been over a year and 2 months since on waiting list, it is real
Good morning! Hopefully you’ll be able to get on them soon! Have a great week as well!
What is the camera that you use dor filming in the store? The one camera thats not your phone? I'm guessing its one thats on your shirt. Please let me know! Amazing work! Good job! 🎉❤💖 Amazing✨️ job! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m curious, there was an app update yesterday for Instacart and after that I haven’t gotten any batches/orders. Anyone else having this issue?
U mean insta fart
So $11 for all this? How much time you spent??? Plus, u used ur car and gas ! I don’t know how it is a money maker!!!
Be careful with them miles. It’s always the miles from the store. Not wherever you are in your car. Sometimes it a say 2.5 miles and it’s really 20 miles because you are not in front of the store the order was batched too.
I've been wanting to try grocery delivery with Instacart but I am worried because I don't have a smart phone and I think I won't be able to participate. I do have a computer and a regular home telephone. Since so many Instacart shoppers are commenting here, do any of you know whether I am even able to use the Instacart system to have my groceries delivered?
Been at it for almost 4 years now. O still don't understand why I get cut 92 cents if 2 items are out of stock but I look for and try find something else, but if a customer requests 2 or 3 additional items I only get about. 18 cents for picking them even if I have to back track to get them.
Can someone explain this to me please! This also happens sometimes if I have gotten all customer items, by the I deliver their tip has already been reduced.
I’m curious about the difference in the orders offered once you received your card versus the virtual card. The difference in earnings too.
