I've been binging your playthrough the past few days and I'm really enjoying! It's so nice to discover this wonderful game for the first time again through your eyes! Thanks!
Swim charge fins are great when using equipment like the seaglide or anything that has batteries in it, you can charge anything you're holding while moving so you can use the seaglide infinitely. You'll never have to charge your batteries again. And you missed the Alien Containment in the 500m Degasi base, it's a giant aquarium so you can breed fish and hatch eggs. The devs definitely need to move the scanning icon to a more prominent location, too many people just ignore it completely. The thermal blade cooks fish when you kill fish with it. It's a quick and easy way to fill your tummy. And those scientific things - marked with "non-functional" you keep picking up are just decoration, you can place them on tables and stuff. Some creatures are attracted to sound, others light. Also, glad to see you enjoying the game!
first time i saw this game it was a play thru by jacksepticeye. he screamed his way to the end. scared the crap outta me, more than once. watching you just go happily and serenely along into the depths is freaky lol
9:41 Check Scanner icon at the bottom corner of your screen! You didn't scan the orange tablet, neither did you scan the Alien Containment (the large see-through cylinder upstairs)! Always keep your eye on that area of the screen to avoid missing scanning stuff nearby
The fact TFG scanned the fishy, but missed all the stuff in the base was amusing. That scanner icon seems to be a blind spot at times. Scan everything!
25:21 Fish never die in your inventory. On a side note, I still don't understand how there's still people telling you how to play this game: "don't do this, don't do that... don't pick this, don't pick that". I sometimes feel the need to give some advice, but I never try to change how people play, it beats the purpose of watching a blind playthrough reaction
One thought, when finding a new plant, get samples of it to plant back at base. As long as you have a sample of everything, you can grow more. Cutting is often the main way to get said samples, as you saw with the gel sacks.
This is a late comment, but it provides quite important information. Subnautica has been updated to version 2.0, and for anyone who is currently playing the older version (I still play Subnautica with loads of mods), you should know that the game has undergone some changes that broke almost all mods, including porting stuff from Subnautica Below Zero (Subnautica's sequel) and fixing many bugs. Many of these changes are QoL improvements, and quite nice to have. There is a way to still play the legacy version for whatever reason (saves broke after update, playing with mods, etc), which can be done if you play the game via Steam (right click Subnautica, select "properties", click "Betas", then change "none" to "Legacy - public legacy builds") One of these changes (ported from Subnautica Below Zero) is quite nice, which adds an option under Accessibility to pause the game when you open the PDA, which helps a lot if you want to read databank entries without the risk of losing oxygen or getting attacked. Another nice addition is that now you can pin recipes (ported from Subnautica Below Zero). Just open the PDA, then click any recipe in the "Blueprints" tab to pin it. And to unpin a recipe, just open the PDA (or fabricator), then click and drag the recipe icon in the right upper corner horizontally to the left or to the right (or use unpin all in the PDA Blueprinets tab, or just click again the recipe you pinned to unpin it) In addition, all your tools have now power meters to the right of their icons to show how much battery is left, which is quite handy (ported from Subnautica Below Zero) One change you will immediately notice is how you transfer items from your inventory to another inventory (Wall Locker, Seamoth locker, etc). Now it is done via left click, instead of right click, which is important because now right click drops the item (for example if you transfer stuff from inventory to Seamoth)!
the blood oil is what you plant if you want to grow the tree and get more oil, the mushroom near the trees are different than the one on the surface you can also grow them in the exterior planter
I see people already said about alien containment you missed, so a word on what it's for. Drop 2 fishes into it of the same species, they reproduce fairly fast. Reginalds are the best food and best fuel for bio-reactors. Also, fish doesn't die in the inventory unless cooked. Oh, and put that last egg you've found into containment too and be patient, you won't regret it) Cyclops doesn't need to go below 900, focus on Prawn suit. You'll need it to get enough nickel and kyanite anyway. You can find loose nickel, but there isn't a lot, very hard to find. Plant one of teh blood oils into the growbed, it's good to have around. And you missed deep shrooms in that same biome as blood kelp. That's what crafts into that poly-whatever green bottle.
😮The brain jelly fish shorted out our light😮Yes shields sound perfect😹We going back🙈🥶How did that pda get there😹An aquarium 🥹😬Hope ur well take care n have a wonderful day✨🦄🦄😎🥶The last msg must of been intercepted alien transmission🙈😹
14:50 The swim charge fins come at a price: It is impossible to wear the ultra glide fins and the swim charge fins at the same time. Personally I vastly prefer the extra speed of the ultra glide fins....on the rare occasions a tool runs out of power I can always simply swap the battery and recharge the battery at the base. 24:55 It only goes 300 meters because you haven't upgraded the depth module of your sea moth. 300 meters is not even close to the maximum diving depth of an upgraded seamoth.
Had a great time, wow, you are brave going out on your own to explore that deep! Just a reminder to go back to Keen's life pod and search around the top of the crevasse. The Cyclops is not the only vehicle that has depth modules. And just because an area has things that look familiar, like plant life, they might be different species to what you've encountered. Also you did miss an important scan (?) in the deep Degassi base, it's not required but it is awesome. Please keep the egg you found in the base, it is special. (I was holding my breath that you didn't throw it away.) How are you enjoying the story? If you can pick up an organic item it's usually plantable, either directly or slashing it for seeds. I think you might enjoy the stasis rifle, if you want to make one and try it out. Hope you are having a blast!
Question. What is so brave about manipulating pixels in a world made of pixels, it's just a game? It's not as if she was playing hard core mode. If she died she'd just respawn. From what I've seen so far she missed blueprints and other interesting things because of her timidity. 🤦♂️😂
you have mats to make the depth modules for the moth in the mod station. magnetite for MK II and rubies for MK III. also in that habitat in the top room as soon as you go in that hatch there's an alien containment to scan there. good job on the forays into the deep though. p.s. next time in the bloodvine biome grab some shrooms there too. all that stuff is farmable.
Woo hoo Subnautica 2.0 just dropped on Steam 😁 Can i ask a question. Has anyone else noticed that the Crabsquid has a clapping noise at the end of it's attack. It shuts off power. the clapper?? or is it just me 🤪
Subnautica version 2.0 is out! Living large update! You can build the below zero large room and more importantly, imo… you can now pin recipes like below zero!
To get nickel ore you need to go to about 900+ m down. The max for seamoth is 900 I use that to get nickle. All the vehicles have 3 levels of depth modules
If you do dad back. Ya grab the alien containment you missed scanning n the building. Once built you can add 2 fish into it and let nature take its course 😊

That icon is small and to far off on the bottom. Wishing you a great day. Take Care!

31:50 those little red bumps on the blue kelp are important.

You will want to hatch that last egg you picked up. It will be a pleasant surprise.
Fun times. Can't wait to see the next episode. Did you make a battery charger yet?
I haven’t played subnautica in a while and its soo nice (and terrifying) rediscovering the story together with you! ❤

I enjoy your channel so much thou.
18:00 you now have both of my favorite creatures in your inventory currently.
We had 4 inches of snow yesterday, not much really but this is the UK so the whole of the SE came to a standstill. Not so bright and sunny.
That is a lot of snow for you guys. Wishing you a great day. Take Care!
Grrl... glad to see that you are still playing. It's a good game.
Lot's of cooking going on today have to watch this one in chunks:) Hope you are having a great day
