I had a meeting with the president of the corporation I worked for and after he said something about my work I reminded him that since I started working there, HE has the thrird president to be nominated ! He asked me what I meant by that. On another job the CEO told me that he didn't see me at my desk when he arrived at 8 am so I replied that I didn't see HIM at his desk when I left at 11 pm !
I had a boss who wrote me up because I started work 5 minutes EARLY. I never expected to be paid for that time, but I had already explained I could not get all the work done in the allotted paid time, as they kept increasing the production quota.
Broke up with a gf. She complained to my supervisor who called me in and threatened to have me disciplined. I asked if he was going to call my mom on me or just exactly was he planning ? Again he made reference to disciplinary action. Told him go ahead do your best but to remember that last year you were sleeping with a woman that was not your wife. So call my mom if you wish lol and I'll call your wife. Walked out laughing as be stood saying no don't call her. Just said I'm sure we'll be chatting again soon.
The worst thing I ever heard from an employer? Not exact wording, but "There's not enough money to give you your paycheck." It kept accumulating, getting paid maybe once a month, until he was behind on my pay line 4 months. I found a different job, now I have more money than I ever had.
Alternatively, I also had a job where an outside person was brought in to take over my department. I became his buddy, but everyone else hated him and I could see that and see why. HR put him under investigation, and they questioned me, and I told them everything I knew. Then for some reason they didn't fire the guy, they told him I was the source of alot of information, and then he was writing me up left and right over the dumbest things that didn't even make sense or were just not true. I just stopped going in.
Not to be THAT guy, but half of these reasons are kinda valid if you can think for a few seconds. If you are the only person they have available they can't just let you go and close off for a day. Sometimes finding replacement for your position/shift is not that simple as you may think. Even if all of these are just fakes, the reasons are way too biased for one side.
