I thought this was early 90's until I saw Alan Bradley. I guess I should have gone by Bet's hair (hated that hair). They clearly were not able to show most of the buildup or the attack, but I do credit them for trying to show the cycle of violence. Hard to believe this is the same show as the garbage on the air today.
You don't seem to see so many domestic violence storylines on TV today, more's the pity. So many women are at the mercy of abusive men - it would be good for them to see the way such men manipulate and control and to realise their behaviour never improves. They only get worse and the only cure is to escape them.
