@G Every conceivable American president, Trump included, would support Ukraine. It's VERY cheap (less than 1% of Iraq/Afganistan war, and moving forward we've seized $300B of Russia's money and will be formalizing that seizure shortly enough), and there is zero possibility that any of them would want to endure the eternal shame of hanging them out to dry.

Another very good broadcast. I have a friend who escaped with his parents from Ukraine in the Mid 1960s due to the growing antisemitic influence from Russia who his parents were working for as Mathematicians. Smething to look into and add to the rep[orting.

Germany has proven to be weak this entire time. In the time after the war, Poland is the country Europe will look to instead of Germany for security. Germany has been doing the bare minimum to avoid condemnation.

At the 25 minute mark, I think he overestimates the support. Most videos I have seen are in the major cities where the civil activist are most active and their numbers are small and the general population is not joining them, so after this war is over 99% of the Russian people will have collective guilt and responsibility for the compensation of Ukraine and its people. Shame on them. They have become as complicit as the people who supported the Third Reich

    Hi Ukraine: The Latest,
There seems to be an almost religious fanaticism in the Ukrainian troops going on lately, right down to the crosses on the tanks.
Very Jihadi, at least for us who have been waging war against the Jihadis for the last 20 years.
Is there more to this then meets the eye? What exactly is going on here?
I wish I had access to an historian who could put depth behind this observation.

The West needs to escalate the provision of heavy weapons to defend the sovereignty of Ukraine, including tanks and MLRS long range rocket systems and winterised materiel to ensure Ukraine wins the war and pushes Russia out of Donbas and Crimea!!!

these days its better to have the opposers safe outside of russia free to communicate with friends and relatives and reinforce opposition within. also living within a democratic society outside of russia reinforces the benefits of democratisation. the more people allowed out will increase the resolve of relatives who miss them and realise what the regime has caused them to lose

How are the Russians going to retreat to the east side of the Dnipro around Kherson, when the bridges have been blown up? Maybe some can walk away but all Russian equipment must be left behind.

That's combat engineering. Russian equipment is fine to leave behind, but the Russian soldiers and the Russian people must go, by foot, over the bridges. Ukrainians left enough bridge for the soldiers to leave on foot only. All heavy equipment must be left behind, too heavy to cross the damaged bridge safely.

I applaud Germany for announcing an open door policy for Russians refusing to take part in this war. Not only does that deny Putin recruits, but it also provides a conduit for more Russians still in their own country to hear, through relatives who have fled to the West, something other than Putin's propaganda, and incentive for them to oppose continuation of this war.

ukraine has never been a viable economically independent country. Check your facts please.
In spite of Ursula's adolescent run to Zelensky to offer a membership into the EU. The EU had decided not to expand any further and deemed ukraine too corrupt to be viable economically when it was investigated. These are facts as demonstrated by EU members denying access. Britain wisely voted for brexit and no longer should be opining on that matter.

There has never been any urge to attack Russia by anyone......but I'm sure the general consensus is that we _all_ should attack Russian troops who have invaded a free Sovereign Nation until they are pushed out of all illegally annexed lands.

The standard of English- especially on American uploads is generally appalling, with nonsense bastardisations like "levveraged" and "oblgigated" among many others. Unfortunately this trend is also beginning to occur in programmes of UK origin...

    Boris Johnson’s excellent adventure
We should recall that only a few months ago Henry Kissinger warned the collective west to stand down and avoid this conflict even at the price of ceding Ukraine’s territory, but his warnings fell on deaf ears. That was in late May. In fact in April and in July of this year negotiated settlement of the Ukraine crisis was being seriously discussed between Kiev and Moscow. But on both occasions, Boris Johnson intervened to torpedo the negotiations and abruptly flew to Kiev to persuade Ukraine’s President Zelensky to end the talks. ..

Kissinger’s argument is that war has to eventually end at the negotiating table. Then why not now? His appeal is that negotiations should be resumed as quickly as possible to avert further damage to Euro-Atlantic stability and the global economy, which is already reeling under the fuel and food crisis due to this smouldering conflict on the Eastern fringe of Europe. ..
