Good work but the scale is off I think. The Zentradi is stated to be 10m tall and the pod is supposed to be 15m tall, however the pod seems to be around the height of 2 Zentradi by rough eyeball measure. The human to zentradi scale seems off also. Roughly measured, the human stands at around 1.75cm and based on that we would expect the Zentradi to be at around 10cm but he is actually closer to 5.5cm. Still, good work and I am just nitpicking. My suspicion is that if the scale is adjusted you will get a Zentradi large enough to fit two humans into his pockets and a pod that is closer to Zentradi height
Fantastic looking models but must agree that scale is not consistent with the cartoon. Zentraedi looks too small compared to human. Humans were only a bit bigger than the hand of a Valkyrie
Please, tell us you're gonna do a Valkyrie next (and/or a Glaug)... because just doing a Regult from Macross, is just like giving Only the Tip... (Bravo clip, BTW)
Terrific video! A problem with these ostriches are the hip joints, and also especially in the varitech battloids (valkyrie battroids) & all mechs that resemble 2 legged animals. Ive seen weight calculations done in battletech bipedal mechs of the stress placed on the hip joints & I don’t think on that scale with current metals it is possible. Even in humans its only possible because of our small size & our hip joints are very reinforced with muscle, ligaments & other lightweight high strength stabilization structures.
This is a great video. But it makes me wonder, given the size of the average zentradi, does that mean the Regult is actually really large power armor and given the anime focuses on the human viewpoint we've just been classifying them wrong as mecha the whole time?
The American Role Play Game, "Robotech" (based on the US animation title, which was in part an edited "Macross") Included some interesting technical data, which mirrors some of what is in the description of the video. I like the interior architecture depicted in this video, but I have two bones to pick: First, the scale. If you watch the anime, there's a story arc where several of the main characters find themselves aboard a Zentradi ship. They escape with at least two of the characters easily fitting inside the breast pocket of a Zentradi uniform. Tht scale is not represented here. Second: There are several cylinders (I don't know what they are) between the back of the pilot and the access hatch, which would presumably render the hatch useless. Of the several scenes sowing that hatch opening in the series, I don't ever recall seeing anyone having to move those cylinders out of the way. Anyway, it's an interesting model. I'd like to see your interpretation of the control interface. In the RPG, the legs are described as simple mechanical units articulated by the pilot's legs. I never like that explanation. I think it was meant to underscore the cheapness of the mass-produced unit, but at a technical level, it falls rather flat.
I always wondered how those pods worked. This was a rather exhilarating explanation of their inner workings.
This is a work of true Art! All of your Robotech video's are just PRICELESS! Keep up the GREAT work.
i've had a bad day but seeing this puts a smile on my face. thank you keep up the outstanding efforts.
Loved the video. Lots of great memories
Dam, it never occurred to me just how much stress there would be on the joints. Excellent presentation. Love the details.
Coolness to see the dedication to Macross still alive!!😎
Keep it up bro someone is going to invest in your work good job
Damn…. You work is PHENOMENAL! You should consider doing some Battletech!
Bad Ass! 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Amazing work 👍
This was great. Now I want a live action robotech movie more than ever.
Oh yeah I like this new style of cutaway.
Well done!
1:11 If the zentraedi have 10 M , the battle pods have at least 20 M
The dimensions as provided are correct per canon, but the size of this Regult as depicted is not. It needs to be proportionally resized to 15m.
Something wrong with the scale. Regult pod seem like double the height of Zentradi Soldier. Rather than 1.5x of Zentradi Soldier height.
Paused the video looking for this exact comment
Great work as always :D. Thank you.

Cool work!
Awesome Awesome. Keep Macross coming!!!!
Zentradi : 10m
Pod : 15.12m
Pod is twice the size of Zentradi ... what ?
Outside of the scale, pretty good work !
according to the spec sheets in both the RP books and the wikis the pods were between 17.2 meters to 19.1 meters tall.

Humans/Micronians were like GIJoe action figures in the hands of adults to the Zentraedi.

On the back it has two hatch handles but you left it out... Why?
Otherwise it looks good.
Love to see a macros IV.
Hey can you do Daimos, Voltus V, and Reydeen would love to see them!
Please keep up!

They invented new meterials from the crashed spaceship

Had no idea the Zen where that dang tall
Now all we need is the wiring diagram!
the zentraedi supposed to be bigger that two adult macross pilots can fit inside their chest pocket.

A lot of work

The imperial scout walkers got nothing against the Zentradi battle pods.
Certainly not their pilots!
Oh Hell yeah!!!!
WOOOOOOOW :O
Yea more Macross please.
バトロイド形体とゼントラーディ人が、ほぼ同じ大きさなので、縮尺でいうともう少し人間は小さいかな
Half-Life fans: Ah yess, poly robo :)
Astig!!!
Zentradi should have built bigger, like F-15 sized big (relative to their body).
Would have shrugged most of what Valkyries can throw at em
Good...
But that textures need to be improved.

I really think if they were all giants form attacked the Earth. They would have win oredy
