A quick Google search shows that they're a lot cheaper than GoPros. Your videos are clear enough on my laptops and pc which are decent quality.

Very interesting, I see you use the K,I,S,S philosophy and I can’t fault you, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of thinking that you have to have the latest equipment, when it’s really about what you do with it that counts. The Ghost cameras might not be the best but they’re definitely the most reliable and have the best battery performance, you can fit and forget at the start of your ride and so long as the lens stays clean you have something you can use, thanks for showing us your setup 👍

That was a lot more interesting than I thought it would be! I've no desire to be a youtuber, but like to record my trips for my own memories. I've tried gopro clones, but as you mentioned battery life is a real pain so I don't use them now. I didn't know about the ghost's long battery life, that seems worth checking out. I still can't bring myself to mount anything on my crash hat though.... still using handlebar or chest mount.

Hello Ian. That was a very interesting video. Thanks for taking the time to show us your video set up.
I am looking for a new helmet cam at the moment, and had been thinking about a dji action 4 which can now be used with the dji wireless mic. I saw a couple of videos about it and it seems to work well.
However after seeing your video I think I will wait a bit and get your feedback on your new Ghost cams.
All the best from a Fifer in Sicily

I now understand why I enjoy your videos so much. You make the complicated seem so simple. 👍👍. My bikes are also spoiled., but share space with a 5×8 trailer and a J D tractor-with snow plow in the winter. With a small radio and chair we can all watch traffic pass by whilst reading a magazine or newspaper. Good thing we all get along. Lol. 👍👍5🏍🙋‍♂️

Really enjoyed that Ian. Looking forward to the one on editing. I've often thought I'd like to record my bike trips, not for TH-cam but for me but the thing that always puts me off is the editing process. Not particularly technically⚠️⚡️☠️🤣 minded so a heads up on a how to would be gratefully received 👍🤞

      Hi Donna
Glad you enjoyed it. A few people have asked about how I edit so I’ll try and make a simple video of my method. It’s definitely not a skill you can learn overnight but it’s great fun. I’ve often came home and download the cameras and couldn’t see any video emerging from the files. But once you start playing with the editing tools I’ve so often been able to make some surprisingly good videos, in my opinion anyway. Like anything the more you do it the better you get.
Not long now to some better weather and really being able to get out on the bikes, riding and meeting everyone again. Ride safe 🏍️👍

Cracking video Ian. Very informative. Love to buy some. But, no use at this computer stuff, even as a nurse, prior to my medical retirement, more and more was getting done on the computer/laptop.
Sorry about the falling off camera.😢

      Hi Mark
Glad you continue to enjoy my videos.
I enjoy watching your ones, we all have our own unique style which is brilliant. You bring your personality into your videos, you’re completely honest and obviously passionate about your bikes, and that shines through.
The more videos you make the easier it gets and the video quality gets better and better.
The main thing is you have to enjoy making them.
Ride safe, not too long now till the weather improves and we can all really get back out enjoying our lovely bikes again 🏍️👍

I know videos like this one don't get many views for channels which aren't the "here's how to get 500k views" type but I found it very interesting and have watched more than once. Out of interest what editing software do you use?

    • @tigerness5555
      @tigerness5555  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Ken
Many thanks for your kind words. As my channel is not, and never will be, monetised I’m not interested in viewing numbers. It’s great when, like my camshaft video, one gets a huge number of views. But some of the videos that I’m most proud of have had very few views.
The editing software I use is LumaFusion, incidentally, I’ve a video coming out on Tuesday that covers that very subject that ma interest you, it’s called “Let’s Make a Video”.

Thanks for that Ian, very informative and simple, (I like simple), I have just purchased a lower end camera for making some videos ( akaso brave), really just for my own use but you never know what may happen, going to have a go firstly on my bicycle then move up to motorcycle, so maybe if it’s chucking down with rain a session on editing next then maybe how to upload to TH-cam,thanks a million

Hi thanks so much for this video. You answered so many questions I had about this particular topic and have really helped me on what path to go down👍 I noticed you have a screen on your Bonneville. How effective do you find it an do you feel there are any negatives. It doesn't look that high do you get much buffeting I hear many people talk about. Any details would be m appreciated. 👍

The windscreen is a genuine Triumph quick release summer screen. It was on the bike when I bought it. It works very well, no buffeting for me. Gives good wind protection for long runs. The best bit is that it simply clips on and off in seconds, no tools required. Great for hot summer days when you don’t want a screen.
      Hope this helps 👍
