Just installed them in my 2019 Ford ranger and with the drop in liner you definitely need to do a good bit of trimming but after that it's a quick install and definitely worth it
I'm definitely going to get the both side sets of them just hope they work with the drop in liner
I’m buying one of these today, going to be making an attempt to keep the bay liner in place and just drilling the holes on the rear pillar
BUNDY BEAR it’s all done. Had to drill the rear bulkhead as the holes weren’t there in my Uk ranger
Just installed mine and love it. What are the slots on the bottom for?
I have a tri fold tonneau cover. Will the lock handles on the tonneau still lock easily once the case is installed? And will this swing far enough open that I can access items with the tonneau still closed? Thx
What size are the screws for the hinge plate? My cheap knock off came with self tapping screws.
Is the box secured to the hinges or does it just lift right off?
Concerned about if somebody tried to steal it whether or not it's secured to the truck or they could just take the box with them.
Can I order just the brackets/mounting hinges? I had these on my 2015 Silverado. But those brackets are not compatible with my 2020 ranger

Has anyone tried to locate the holes without cutting the Berliner?
so do you end up losing access to those 2 tie down points once you install the box??
The nice thing is you can lift the box itself out and put it somewhere else giving you access to the tie downs. When done just put it back and all good to go.
Okay I purchased a driver’s side SwingCase, however I use my tie downs all the time! What are my options?
Hum,,, after installing the swing box the last bedcover tie down latch interferes with it! I set the latch but it is in a severe bind! The bed cover latch is about 4” long. I sure don’t want to cut the latch off.
I'm going to be installing the Ford ladder rack. Would this interfere with the installation of the boxes?
The rack and the case should clear

Can this be installed just as easy with a spayed on bed liner?
As long as your bed liner didn't cover the holes you should be good to go.
Yes, I ran a 6mil tap thru the holes first to remove any excess bed liner.. took a few minutes but worked well..
@@PaulSmith-yu6qk hi Paul I am not very mechanically inclined any way you can show a pic of this tap? Do I just go to hardware store and ask for a 6mil tap.
Does the bracket fit ok on top of the sprayed in liner. I would think it would be fine
@@arthurb8631 thanks for the question. A tap is a machinist tool to create threads in a pre drilled hole or in this case to clean out threads that have been created. By using this tool it will clean out the spray in bed liner from the threads. The spray in bed liner does not have to be removed with the exception of the threads to allow the bolts to fit in the holes and be tightened. There are many videos on TH-cam showing and explaining this tool. 6 mil refers to 6 millimeter tap size as they come in a range of different sizes. Good luck
Just ordered both for my 2022 Ranger with sprayed in factory liner. I can see the holes but they are covered. Going to go to hardware store and buy a 6 mil tap. Just worried I will wreck threads.
I ended up using a torch lighter to soften the over spray and used the screws rethread while soft.

I just wonder if it rattles around when your driving, that would drive me nuts or if it fits snug and is quiet. Looks loosely mounted to me.
I just wonder why nobody has replied to this?... safe to say it probably does rattle :(
Will rattle less than your tools and straps sliding around the bed I’d imagine. That said, I’m off to go buy one of these in an hour or two, I’ll report back once I’ve fitted it
We have these in all our 24 service trucks and the drivers comment that it does not rattle. Clean way to keep your tools from rolling around.

2020 Rangers now come without the mid-box tiedowns (4 total). How does this install without those?
Check if they still have the holes, it’s the holes that it screws into, not the bracket itself
@@TheDog8876 thanks for your reply. It had the holes but not the bolts. I ended up buying brackets because I want them anyways. Then I had to deal with holes plugged with sprayed bed liner.
David Hathaway Did you happen to find the brackets for less than $40 each? I ordered the bolts for it for now but the brackets are expensive!
@@plvty yes, Auto Nation Ford of White Bear Lake had part KB3Z-21550A74-A for $10.98 each... plus bolts (part -W505594-S450B) $13.30 for a pair.
I have a 2020 and have installed this box. The kit comes with the necessary bolts to use in the holes that did not have a tie down. Mine also had a spray on bed liner so I took a tap and ran the hole a few times to clean the threads. Easy installation..
What size is the tie down bolt. I want to put an eye bolt in one of the holes.

Is it ok if you have a spray liner?
Yes your liner shouldn't be an issue
So it locks but if someone just lifts it off the hinges it comes right off to steal?
There is a location where you can add a padlock to the hinge once in place to lock it into the bed.
