This is a " blue chip" car..all you need for a couple with two kids. Too bad blind spot monitoring and cross traffic alert aren't included. I like the direct injection equipped with the D 4 S dual injection system. Car has 11 more horsepower than a Civic Sport, also the CVT has a step off gear for quicker starts from rest. Another advantage over Civic Sport is a better appointed rear seating area. Not as much cost cutting evident! Otherwise this and the Civic are top notch contenders for the "this is all you need" class. I also would not rule out the Forte, Elantra and Mazda 3 sedans. My humble advice: the splash guards and rear bumper finish protector are worthwhile. Drive 'em nuts at dealership when you are at point of sale by crossing off the wheel locks, all weather mats and door edge guards. You can buy Weather Tech or Tux Mats for less from a local retailer. By the way, I do drive a Civic, for the record! Great review..keep 'em coming!!
I wanted to buy a Corolla SE for the last year..but all the Corollas were pre sold and you had to order and wait..also the dealers were so greedy....with the dealer add on's the Corolla SE was 30k out the door...I started looking at the competition and looked at the Kia Forte GT with the GT2 package...what a car for the money...for the same price the dealers were wanting for the Corolla SE you can buy the Forte GT2...the Forte has a nicer interior with heated and cooling seats, nicer looking gauge cluster, bigger infotainment screen, GPS without paying for the subscription, plus Android Auto/ Apple Car Play, premium sound system, the latest drivers safety aids, sun roof, larger trunk..plus multi link rear suspension, and 201 hp with a 7-speed DCT transmission instead of the Corolla's CVT transmission...and a much better warranty...so glad I looked at what the competition offers.
It’s a Kia. Completely different buyer from a Corolla. That’s why it’s available. Dealerships where I live don’t markup Carolla’s, just GR Carolla’s. I would have looked around more, dealerships that mark up a little Carolla is embarrassing.
@rexonpadre4653 Honda has a recall right now with their cars and motorcycles...recalls now and in the past...the time I owned a Corolla it had a issue with the electronic steering..sold that Corolla at month 2 because I didn't want to deal with it...about a year and half later after I got rid of that Corolla, I got a class action lawsuit letter asking me if I wanted to join it because of that electronic steering issue that Toyota didn’t want to address til forced too...all the manufacturers have issues and recalls.
I just looked at this car a few days ago the one I looked hade bronze rim snd black logo for 28 000 it's high price for a corolla tho I looked at camry se to not big if a price difference or go with a camry that a year old
I have the 2023 Corolla SE. It's a little underwhelming, not much power, bad speakers, and you can hear outside very easily as other can hear what I am listening to even with the music mid low. The only thing I like about it is the style and color I got. I was debating on the Corolla or the Camry too. Wish I got the Camry. For a little more money you can get a more powerful and comfortable ride. But of course get what you like.

To be honest I would avoid the Korean brands because their long term reliability is a bit questionable
Great review. Mine is on order. I did get a sunroof, ( California). Im about to retire my LE, 376K miles.
376k! Wow! Heck of a run! Thanks for tuning in and good luck with the order.
Almost 400K is remarkable! What year was that Corolla if you don’t mind me asking? I have a 1.8L 2009 myself, and it seems like it will last forever.
@@firstnamelastname3250 2011, the guy who bought it still driving it. Good luck with yours.
We submitted a deposit for a 2024 ' L ' model this morning. Looking forward to delivery in June.
Can you install heated seat and heated mirror?

The Forte GT2 is a favorite of mine. Thanks for tuning in and the comment. Much appreciated.
