OMG, it just clicked! fantastic! Thanks for sharing this video!!! I'm so excited about the make-along for your Twig design. I gotta tell ya that balling the ends are pretty scary and I have yet to try it! lol
Yay! I'm so glad this video helped you figure out the weave. And using a torch for the first time is scary, but we can do scary things! Today's video will definitely help you get over your fear. I'll bet you'll be confidently using a torch in no time!
Those materials work well for practicing and experimenting with weaves, so give it a try! It's saved me a lot of wasted weaving wire through the years.
Yes! This is such a great way to practice weaving without wasting any wire. It's also helpful for experimenting with new weaving patterns. I'm glad this video was helpful. Thanks for watching!
Ooooh can't wait for the make along! Glad you pointed out that the whole left vs right handed thing is silly. I never understood the hysteria around it 😂
I think people just have a natural tendency to overcomplicate things that aren't very complicated to begin with. Given the recent controversy in some of the wire weaving groups on FB, I figured I would try to demystify left-handed weaves for those who have been frustrated by this issue. I don't want anyone to feel like my tutorials will be too difficult for them to follow simply because I'm left-handed. And likewise, I want to make sure that all the other left-handed wire weavers out there know that my tutorials will be particularly easy for them to follow.
Thank you for the great videos!! I love your written tutorials but am really excited about your videos. Just one question, what is the wooden thing you are using to hold the core wires (chopsticks) when demonstrating the right hand version of the figure 8 weave? It looks pretty handy!!
Thanks, Sandy! That's a ring clamp. And, yes, it's very handy! Search for "wood ring clamp" on Amazon or Etsy to find one. I'll be using it in the Twig Pendant series. So I'll show you exactly how to use it in those videos.
Of course! That's a wood ring clamp, and it works beautifully for holding your core wires while you work. You can find them anywhere that sells jewelry making tools. I use that clamp again in Part 1 of the Twig Pendant Make-Along. So, you'll find shoppable links for that tool on the Twig Pendant project resource guide here: door44studios.com/twig-pendant-make-along/

Wow... love the dow and string demo!!!

Great idea using sticks and string to practice the weave. I’m new to wire weaving and this will help me out immensely. Thank you so much!

Thanks again for sharing this weave. I've for some reason struggled with this but it all clear now
I'm so happy to hear that! Glad it was helpful. And thanks for watching! 😊
Love this weave! Thanks for sharing how to make it and I look forward to learning how to using the torch in your next video! :-)
You're welcome! So glad you like this weave. It's always been one of my favorites.
I am excited about this one. I purchased this pattern from you awhile back, but have never used the torch before so was intimidated. Looking forward
Using a torch is always intimidating at first, but it's easier than you're imagining. I promise!

@@Door44Studios yeah, I just don't really think people should complain/nitpick so much about FREE material. Just my opinion though lol.
Thank you!!
My pleasure!

Yahya left handed tutorial 😁
May I ask what you are holding you wires with?
