Everything is cylindrical: fashion trends, body types, beauty trends. Everything inevitabley rotates it’s way back in style. The thing is I don’t agree with people taking unhealthy measures just to match what’s trending whether that be ozempic or surgery. I wish people would all together stop participating in the body standards Olympics and just find whatever version of themselves feels healthiest and authentic and stick to that.

They're not the same vibe at all, but are kind of educational when it comes to the genre and style. Followed up by some deep dives into the art and symbolism, those two movies will change the way you watch anime, for sure. You can really nerd out on the depth of it all.

If you want something that is a little more lighthearted and will make you laugh with some serious moments, then Aggretsuko is a great choice too. And it's not necessarily anime but Arcane on Netflix is fire too

@CB12345 For us who grew up on it (like myself), it's what stuff airing on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and the like are to others. The reason you feel that way is because unlike a few years back, it is now mainstream and no longer a niche thing (think how people villainised video games and gamers in the past and now they're an acceptable pastime for a lot of people now or a particular book series).
Happens to everything that used to be niche and now is mainstream so I completely get how you feel on the matter.

Maybe the recent scandal you spoke of affected her so much that she shed weight without trying. Some people, like myself, have weight fluctuations throughout their lives. The thing is, people haven't seen a real body in so long, they forget that if you lose weight, you lose all over. Women with BBLs lose weight and stay curvy. You gain weight as you age !! I see nothing wrong with the weight loss because the same body you have at 22 isn’t the same body you have at 28. It’s truth. She changed the path in which her body was aging .

I think the anime classics, like Akira and Spirited Away, are really important to watch when you're getting into anime. They're not the same vibe at all, but are kind of educational when it comes to the genre and style. Followed up by some deep dives into the art and symbolism, those two movies will change the way you watch anime, for sure. You can really nerd out on the depth of it all.
