Kind of an old video so I doubt anyone would read this but if you do, isn't the 48H until PLT get back their effects wrong since it's irreversible so you'd have to wait for the whole span of the PLT life which would be 7 to 10 days so technically speaking you'd have to wait for the long for PLT function to return to normal
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis first of all, thanks for responding, I’m a big fan of your videos (even though I haven’t seen many of them) Second of all, i get that new platelets are made everyday but the way you phrased it “how long do you have to wait until PLT restore their function” made me think you were talking scientifically as in the body’s platelets would return to normal, the ability to form a PLT plug would return to normal after all the defective PLT would get turnovered (if that’s even a word) so it would be the life span of the PLT but clinically speaking I can sort of understand that 48 hours would give the bone marrow enough time to release new PLT that would be able to spread enough throughout the body to make the defective PLT not worth considering In any case, again thx for all the work you do P.s. I’ve got an ER rotation tomorrow so if you have any playlists you’d recommend I’d appreciate it
He has already explain it in previous videos of this playlist. I suggest you to see all the previous videos in order to better understanding. In this video the teacher does not detailed the answer because it was a review for the students of the playlist!!
My sister almost died of Reye’s syndrome. My mother was told not to give her aspirin, but she did anyway. My sis was 11 at the time. After she recovered, she was a completely different person. She came out of it with some serious OCD.
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis Thank you for that. I didn’t mean to be a downer, I just rarely hear Reye’s syndrome talked about. Thank you for all your videos! 🙏
