    The new sewing machine looks so cool! I haven't used that brand before, but it looks nice. I used Bernina machines in middle school home ec, and my mom has a Bernina sewing machine and serger that I enjoy using.
    So glad you were able to find the fabric you needed to complete that order! I also love the new Christmas tree fabric!
    That sounds like lots of work to process orders and keep track of everything. I admire your ability to do all of that!

    Wow! Congratulations on your successful launch! Your new sewing machine looks amazing. One week until my gj surgery. A little nervous, but worsening symptoms are helping me realize how much it is needed. One positive of gastroparesis is finding people like you to connect with over symptoms.

      Thank you so so much and my new machine is so amazing I can't believe I am lucky enough to have it. Good luck with the surgery! Im know it is scary but like you said it is needed and will hopefully help you tremendously. Mine has saved me and I am so thankful for it. I definitely agree one positive is creating such meaningful connections. I never thought that was possible but I am thankful this condition brought me all of you!

    That horrible battle between knowing you need you eat, and feeling sick if you don’t, but then you do eat and you feel sick after. Constantly trying to balance that and pick the lesser of the 2 evils, lol. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
    I find if I don’t eat, I get incredibly nauseous, but it’s a different kind of nausea because I can eat while I’m feeling it. So I eat because I know it’ll stop the severe nausea, but then after I eat I have the other milder nausea and the pain and bloating.

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes exactly! The empty stomach nausea is awful so that is also why I try to eat to prevent that. And with my tube if I don't eat, along with the hungry nausea my tube also does this little popping thing as my stomach is trying to digest the tube which can also cause discomfort so it is definitely a balance of trying to pick the lesser of 2 evils haha. It is nice to know that other people understand this too

    So amazing!! I'm always so impressed by everything you create! I hope it's okay if I ask a quick question - Did you have trouble with doctors not taking your GI symptoms seriously when you don't vomit? My symptoms have been getting worse and worse, and I keep losing weight, but my doctors just insist that I just need to eat more (even though it makes me feel terrible). All my other illnesses have flared, because I'm not getting adequate nutrition, but I feel like I don't have support from my doctors. Thank you for the wonderful video, and I hope you are having a great day!! :)

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! And to answer your question, yes and no. I have had some doctors not understand but I am also thankful to have had others do. What doctors need to understand is that even though you may not vomit, you still have other symptoms that prevent you from intaking enough food and get in the way of being able to function in normal life. Like how are you supposed to eat and function when you are severely nauseous, so full you feel like you're going to explode, never hungry, in pain etc. If I ever felt like they weren't understanding I just kept describing how it effected my nutrition and my daily life. My boyfriend also helped me advocate. If a doctor is not treating you correctly it is okay to find a different one who will listen. I am sending you so much love and hoping you get the support you need!

      @@KennaKrueger This is something that I really struggle with, as I'm not very good at expressing my feelings etc. I don't like anyone with me when i see as Dr as I feel uncomfortable & start stuttering.

      @@KennaKrueger Thank you so, so much!! Sending love right back! My next appointment is in three weeks (ugh feels so far away), and I think I might bring someone to help me advocate. Hopefully it'll go well! Thank you so much again :)

    You have a GJ-tube right? The G for venting, and the J for feeding. Can I ask how long you feed for? I’ve heard that with the J-tube it’s almost an all day feed. Do you actually feel it when you’re feeding? I’m debating getting a GJ-tube and trying to see if it will help and make me feel better. But I have so many questions.

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes i do! I feed pretty much 24/7 through my tube. Some people can tolerate higher rates for shorter periods of time like 12 hours but I have tried that a few times and that just doesn't work for my body. So I run it constantly except I always give myself a few hour break after I unhook myself to shower at night before reconnecting when I go to sleep both for just allowing myself to feel "normal" for a bit and to give my intestines some time to rest and digest since their motility is also impaired. I don't "feel" the feedings, especially since mine is at a lower rate. Sometimes if I am having a higher symptom day I feel more, full, nauseous and bloated but then at night when I have those couple hours of being disconnected, I find some of those symptoms get better which tells me that that particular day my intestines weren't working as well. I am not sure if this answered your question particularly but I hoped this helped!

    Is there a way to have an email list for people to know when you put things on etsy? I am sorry if this seems annoying. I keep missing your launches and I am trying so hard to keep track of things and I keep messing up. I am about to get my first feeding tube and have been pretty terrified but wanted to get some of your clips and things to just have a something about it that feels positive and more fun right now idk. I just feel like a huge failure for missing it twice in a row... Will it be a long time before you put more non-christmas items up or do you have another shop recommendation for someone who has never ordered any tubie supplies before? I am sorry if this is too many questions. I just want to be prepared and don't want to keep screwing up. I'm sorry if this sounds annoying but I am not sure how to word my questions. I really want to support you and buy some things next time you have a launch and I promise I will keep trying really hard to not be forgetful...

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never really thought of an email list but that is something I should look into implementing thank you for the idea! Don't blame yourself, you probably have a lot going on and it is very easy to be forgetful. I am not sure how long it will be until I put more up, but from now on it will just be normal items. I haven't bought from many tubie shops since I learned how to make my own but I did buy from MiltonandMaisie on etsy as well as ISLArey. Another shop I know on Etsy is called HaleysButtons. I have never bought from there but a ton of people love her stuff as well! I will be sure to post again next time before launching again and am hoping to have a ton of products so they don't sell out as fast! Good luck with your feeding tube placement! I know it is scary but it is also so helpful, and finding small ways to make the situation a little more positive and light is the way to go.
