tbh i think that's how it should work, its hexplate and zeke's that need to be adjusted to fit with the whole awaken thing
Cloud soul , Hexplate and Zeke all 3 get activated by basic abilities but fandom says that Hexplate should only get activated by awakened abilities while Cloud soul should get activated by basic abilities so all of this is really weird , I also think that making only Awakened abilities activate all of those is the most right thing to do .
Nonsense. If it's a passive is not a Ultimate, otherwise should passive's cd get reduced by hexplate / malignance? The answer is, of course, no, cause it's a passive.
when malignance just droped in udur was even able to proc in any shape or form i am shocked he even procs it now
@@FioreCava the cd does get reduced by the ultimate ability haste from hexplate and malignance, although it doesn't show it in the tooltip if you use the passive it will be reduced when having either of those 2 items.
@@FioreCavaA couple patches ago riot specifically changed these items to work with Udyr because it is kind of bullshit that he's the only champ in the game who just can't build these items. This absolutely isn't the intended interaction though, as they specifically stated that empowered q and r should have the "Ultimate" ability tag now causing them to trigger these effects when used, and maligance is still working like this, but I also think that Hexplate and Zeke's are bugged on him to be triggering when they're not supposed to. Cloud activating on his basic abilities might legitimately be a hold over from pre-rework, as I recall that being how it worked on old Udyr. (I also remember them making that change specifically to buff him as your jungler not getting benefit from your dragon soul is especially feelsbad when it's only 1/4 souls that did it.)
The passive of udyr is the real ultimate, this is correct.
Before even the awakened abilities was not applying malignance, they fixed that problem on last patches 😂

Riot needs to make up their mind about what's Udyr's ultimate (technically speaking).
Is it his R? (Like when Sylas steals it?)
Is it all of his abilities? (Like with hextech?)
Is it the awaken version of his abilities? (like with malignance?)

This is already a bliss, 2 months ago I spent a whole aram waiting for my phoenix stance to proc malignance, at 26 minutes with that "Damage done: 0", I sold the item.
I was using awakened phoenix that whole game with my tank Udyr :(
malignance is nerfed in aram anyway
At least malignance activates now. 2 moths ago it would just do nothing even if one used the awakened ability

imo every champ that has "empower next basic ability" for an ult should just have 4 abilities and a passive function like Udyr
that way they have more precedent for determining what's supposed to happen in cases like this

if an item does not give armor/ mr damage/ penetration its not that good
i bought it in urf and my bro said at least it gives you ult haste but it doesnt show that my R is tecnically "ultimate ability"
To be fair, malignance doesn't have a cooldown like the other two do so it would be kinda busted if udyr could just proc it every 2 seconds for additional damage and pen. Additionally, Radiant Virtue had this same interaction with udyr back when it was an item (would only proc on awakened abilities)

Malignance does not work on ultimate based on auto attacks, so since udyr's abilities without being in the ult are auto attacks, it doesn't activate.
Btw, the same applies to Warwick ult, it doesn't work because the damage is 100% auto attacks.
Hey cleanse love your stuff, if you're looking for new ideas, there's a bug(?) where riftmaker and liandry's damage boost passives are not triggering with frozen heart aura while jak'sho triggers his stacks. frozen heart should count as "in combat" or not?

Oh so it finally works! I got udyr on aram day 1 with new items and got tilted that malignance didn't proc at all with his kit... Haven't played it since then.
I tried that on sion too just because I wanted the ultimate haste for his r and I don’t get the haste at all

Well using an awakened ability is technically using Udyrs ultimate since it's using Udyr's passive

In this case Hexplate and Zeke's interactions are bugs (on fandom you can see that Hexplate should be activated by awakened abilities only (probably Zeke's too) but they get activated by basic abilities)* , video has this title because they are way easier to proc than Malignance . Even if fandom said nothing about it , all of them should be one way or another but its just a mess .
@@Cleanse333 did you misread patch notes for fandom? there is no scam only patch notes it is as the devs intended. idc about good,bad,right,wrong, but if they patch their game and write it in the notes its not a scam its a patch...
@@cereshin I don't know which patch you are referring to but patch 14.3 changes state that only awakened abilities are now special-cased to trigger Experimental Hexplate but in this video you can see that its still being triggered by Udyr's basic abilities (bug/scam/lie call it whatever you want to call it) , so is Zeke's convergence (they just forgot to change it too) meaning that only Malignance got adjusted making it harder to proc it for Udyr than other things and thats why this video has this title .
???? riot wrote they will buff udyr the way that ultimate hunter is not replacing now and absolute ability haste is working with his passive+his awakened abilities can proc hexplate and malignance

Those items should only proc when the awakened version is used... Not the basic version
