You've imported "vultures" from "Circle With Me" -- you've picked up the Spiritbox influence. Of course, since then Poppy has been on stage featuring in a live performance of a Spiritbox song. ("Circle With Me" was Courtney trying to think like a record company exec -- probably provoked by anxiety over selling out to Rise Records.)
i've been so conditioned to her doing alternative metal that these simpler more generic tracks from the current era sound strangely refreshing. can't waut for her new album.
she has been screaming every now and then but yeah I would like her to do more stuff like this. I think her screams are great and if she goes full metalcore or even deathcore I'd be all for it
Like the way you are thinking this through and giving it a bit of time. The thing I like about Poppy is that being in control of her game and doing what she wants, she will do things like produce high quality electro-pop music that actually needs quite a lot of work on the part of the listener to engage with one moment (e.g. 1s + 0s), then not long after hit us with hardcore / metalcore that is an angry (but accessible) bop. I spent hours working out 1s + 0s (which should be accessible pop/rock, but was more like antipop/Radiohead), but this song is an immediate blast from beginning to end. I'm wondering around humming the chorus like it's Kylie and the bouncy rhythms from the fry verses are stuck in my head. I think there is a bit of unusual structure to this song though too- for instance, each time she sings "true", she is unaccompanied. The second "true" is exactly halfway through the song. I think this could be one of her rabbit hole songs. You could suspect that Poppy is trying to draw people who listen to pop into more adventurous territory, and people who are stuck in various metal silos to have a look outside. Either way, she is obviously having a complete ball working across her full range and clearly loves music- she's a great music educator because of this.
I think you might have missed her single New Way Out, also produced by Jordan Fish. He produced the whole upcoming album. It'll be out later this year. I always get something new out of your lyrical analysis. For the last part I think it can also apply politically or on society. She's written other songs referring to the "breeders" and the "bland and blind" in society. Here she calls them traitors, too, which can be expanded beyond the individual relationships and applied to insurrectionists, for example.
The bird in the visualizer is a Pied Crow, which is a small African raven -- rather than a vulture.

the closest thing to deathcore poppy has done is the breakdown in bite your teeth off of I Disagree, it's pretty decent 🤑
She's fire man wow
her voice is so interestingly high as if we turned guitars not to drop d but to rise g sharp
makes me so happy that say cheese still sticks with you

Poppy is my dab girl. Sounds like slipknot and Tatu had a baby

Really great. This song grows on me. Like the song "New Way Out" better but this hit hard.
Sounds bit like Lorna Shore minus poppy parts.
Be nice if it was art for arts sake. Instead we have a proto influencer trying to stay relevant with a gateway music career. Banal.
So you don't know a thing about poppy just did know research and made an uninformed comment maybe don't comment on things you don't know about
