Gotta Love the 81,82 Squarebodys. I've got a swb 2wd 82 Gmc that's been LS swapped. BP Automotive harness, 2/4 drop, bucket seats and console, cowl and phantom grill. Solid Texas truck but needs some paint this winter. Hope to make some shows this next year.
Yeah if it sits it loses its prime, had sat for about two weeks when I shot that start up. Fires right up with two pumps if I drive it every couple of days and in the summer. I don’t drive it much in the winter but try to fire it up every couple of weeks and let it run- maybe a quick spin around the block if the roads are dry.
@@armygreenfj3924 I’ve been happy with them and like MTs generally. I put Mickey Thompson Bajas on a Jeep CJ7 I had and always loved them. They were on this square body when I bought it and I was excited about it. They have the look I like being a little aggressive but not crazy. Road noise isn’t annoying but just enough to sound cool.
Dude let the carb get some fuel before you go to stomping on it. Your truck has mechanical fuel pump and it doesn't pump fuel until the engine is turning over. Give it a few seconds to prime before you give it gas. You aren't doing anything by giving it gas, if the carb hasn't got fuel yet
LOL well was hoping there was still some fuel in the bowl and then knew my battery wouldn’t last long the way it sounded so didn’t know how many seconds I had. Doesn’t usually take that long honestly. Thanks for watching.

@@CBSquareBody I have a 91 with a 4 speed red n black
Have you tried advancing your timing? My La 360 lights off almost instantly in like 20 degree weather with the timing advanced
Timing is good. Just takes a bit for gas to get back up to the carb when it sits.
Beautiful
Thank you
Omg Bro, that is a beauty!!! Perfect truck! Had it long?
Thanks! Bought it a little over a year ago.
@@CBSquareBody Beautiful truck!
How long does it usually take to start on freezing cold mornings? Does it take longer when it hasn't been used for several days?

Nice square body! What kind of muffler are you running?

@@CBSquareBody nice! By the way I have not read or seen any videos of those new Mickey Thompson MTZ baja legends. What’s your opinion on them?
