    I have a 2004 (late model) that has been rebuilt and bored over .20 and some upgrades like head studs...4" exhaust... I live in Florida and looked up on your list of preferred installer ...Twin Diesel in Lakeland Florida...They are installing the Hot weather BP Oil Cooler ..I'm VERY impressed with them !!!! Thanks for putting that list out there as I try to do most maintenance work myself but this area I needed help and didn't know who to trust !

    I just had you all do the five pattern problems repairs to my 2007 6.0L engine a few weeks ago I cannot tell you all how extremely satisfied I am with your products and labor. Worth every dollar spent on these repairs.
    Special thanks to my service advisor JL and my technician JP for making all this possible. We drove my truck the 425 miles to my home without a single worry or issue. Id recommend this service to all who own a 6.0L. Thank you Bullet Proof Diesel for coming out with great products. 👍😎👌😁

    I probably just need to call BPD to ask this question but I’ll ask here also. I have the BPD air to oil cooler already installed but I want to install the the bypass oil filter in addition. Question is, do I need to pull the condenser to get to the oil cooler or can I install with just pulling grill? Look at the area where the ac lines looks super tight area

    • @louielopez1638
      @louielopez1638 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Remove the two top bracelets and slightly bring the condenser forward without removing any lines and see how much room you have to play with. You might want to lift the condenser off the bottom supports but be sure not to let drop. Good luck 👍🤞

      Feel free to give us a call directly at 480-247-2331. We are happy to help here as well. Do you have the large spin on oil filter in behind the bumper on the drivers side?

      @@tonysalecki Got it. You should be able to remove the top brackets that hold the condenser in place, move the condenser back and access the 1/4" NPT plug on the side of the cooler. This port will feed the bypass filter.

    I'm considering a 6.0. But I have a question, can this kit still work if you have after market winch bumper or a ranch hand bumper for the external oil filters? And can Ford Motorcraft filters be used for the external ones?

    Question, would it be possible to further explain the benefits of the “cold weather package”. I saw this truck is from Arizona, I’m from Florida however I don’t travelNorth in winter if at all is there any benefit to add this to my current Bulletproof external oil cooler system if the truck remains in the south?

    • @BulletProofDiesel
      @BulletProofDiesel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sounds like you could probably do just fine without it. The cold weather package has been used to keep oil at the correct viscosity even at sub-freezing temperatures. If you don't see those very often, you should be just fine.

    So this a stock upgrade pretty much. No cutting or tuning or anything like that? Operation is the same, just changing the way the cooling happens.

    • @BulletProofDiesel
      @BulletProofDiesel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You could call it a delete of the stock oil cooler system, and an external upgrade. The BulletProof oil cooler will mount, as you've seen, up near the radiator. The primary advantage of the system is that it doesn't use coolant, so there's no possibility of coolant debris clogging it up. No tuning, no grinding anything off. The closest you'd get to that is perhaps shaving some plastic off some of the flaps behind the bumper for hose routing, but that's just for ease of installation.

    As a plumber my head says there has to be a way to abandon the old cooler and reroute to a cooler upfront. I like your kit though.

    • @BulletProofDiesel
      @BulletProofDiesel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the feedback and our air-to-oil cooler systems do exactly that. We eliminate the factory oil cooler and utilize an air-to-oil cooler up front behind the AC condenser. This helps to keep it in the air flow from the factory fan/fan clutch setup and manages temperatures accordingly.

    I will most definitely buy this kit. But I wanna see what 50,000-150,00miles does to the kit.
    How do you maintain the kit?
    Do you have to take the cab off?

    • @BulletProofDiesel
      @BulletProofDiesel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maintenance primarily consists of oil, oil filter, and fuel filter changes at regular intervals. No need to remove the cab! We've seen some of our kits on trucks that are hitting about 400k miles!
