- In this episode, Sherri and Chelsi discuss their new fabric collection, Raspberry Summer. They discuss the inspirations behind this fabric line and the story of how they could not agree on the name. This fabric collection is a sister collection to Strawberry Lemonade and also features a 60" wide dresden block cheater print. Raspberry Summer is expected to ship to quilt shops in February 2025. To wrap up this podcast, Billy shares a couple of inspirational quilting stories from listeners of the podcast. Watch to the end to hear these heartwarming stories.

I did manage to score three yards of the 60” Grandmother’s Flower Garden backing last week. I don’t know how I missed it when the collection came out, but I feel very lucky! I love everything Strawberry Lemonade!!
Paisley and the low volumes are my favorites!!! Love this collection! Adding the navy solidifies this as one of my absolute favorites!!! And the raspberries!!! Love it all!!!
I love this one. Chelsi now you got to do Lemon Drop, Blueberry Fizz, Apple Harvest, Blackberry Bumble…etc. I love fruit patterns on fabric in tiny doses! 🎉❤😊
I absolutely love the navy, it's so crisp and clean. i can see myself doing a red, white and blue quilt from this collection. Thank you for including citrine again. In Strawberry Lemonade, I wasn't sure how I felt about citrine, but when I used it in a quilt, I loved the pop of color. Chelsi, you do such a great job designing. I love the prints the two of you came up with for this collection. YAY, more beautiful fabric.

When we moved and did a major downsize, all my fabric, quilts, and supplies came with me. My daughter asked me if I really needed to make all the quilts I want to make. I told her “yes”. She asked why. I pointed to the large J O Y letters on the wall. I told her that it brings me JOY.
"YES" is so the correct answer!! And yes, we "need" to make them 🥰🥰
Love the new collection and the amazing new patterns! I've already purchased 2 new patterns and put the new bag pattern at the top of my to do list!
I do not think it will work, but maybe something to consider in the future...this cheater print would have made a beautiful border. I would really like to see some 108" wide fabrics. I would buy a bunch. Fig Tree got to do 3 this year for Jelly & Jam alone. It is time for Sherri & Chelsi and Vorey Yoder to get some really beautiful 108" wide. I encourage prints that match multiple lines. Moda, give the people what they want.
I just reserved a bundle of Raspberry Summer. I also reserved Strawberry Lemonade since it will be printed again. 🙂 How about a Blueberry Apple Pie with an Americana theme? I have really enjoyed your podcast!
You design such beautiful fabric. I love the Dresden cheater print. Confession: I am sewing the charity quilt Moonbeams with FQS and I bought the kit with the backing set. I will be altering the backing to save the cheater hexi fabric for other projects since that fabric sold out so quickly.
Would like to see a cheater fabric in a 108” size. Love all your fabric lines.

Love the new line of fabric. I must get a bolt of the cheater Dresden. The ladies who wrote in about their battles with cancer really touched my heart. I to have had Cancer this past year. I became energized to get to quilting. I have so much I want to get done. It really speaks to how much time do you have left? Thank you for the "Happy fabric".

Your new collection of Raspberry Summer is adorable. I’ll have to say I personally don’t see a lot of summery colours here in Canada, thinking that’s why your fabrics are harder to source out. Our temperatures go into the minus side, our colours tend to go to more medium to darker tones. I love following and have use both fabrics and patterns, thanks for your passion. 👍❤️🙂

Love this collection! I am sewing many things with Strawberry Lemonade and just love looking at the fabrics as I sew. I do have one question about the Strawberry Lemonade fabric though. Is a QAL going to be done with the Summer Slice pattern? I have the kit and was going to get stared with it but wanted to wait if a QAL was going to be done. Love all of your fabrics and patterns!

I just saw a unique print from the collection Christmas in the Cabin by Art Gallery designed specifically for binding. This would be a perfect addition to your line since the colours mix so nicely with each other. Please consider it (and 108 backing)!
This is a pretty collection...but you said you didn't have any other berry collections...what about strawberry lemonade? You have already established a "berry" set of collections. I like the blue addition!

I would like to know what it is like to live in a part of the country that has such high temperatures. I know that is not quilt related but I do wonder how you deal with the heat. I know you must have air conditioning in your house. But a parked car must get as hot as an oven to enter. Do you have to have indoor activities for the kids all day?
not a berry ... but Apple Autumn. I live in town with many apple orchards. And blueberries are summer.
So Chelsea goes down the rabbit hole when designing fabric, and Sherri goes down the rabbit hole when designing words. You are both compulsive, but still very different. 😂
