How kind are Ferris Wheel Press for organising this CRAZY giveaway worth over $500!? I'll be honest, I'm quite fussy about what brands I work with, and these guys have just been SO kind and generous - from their giveaway prize to helping Feathers & Fur... they just have really big hearts. Not only that, their products are BEAUTIFUL too! I hope you enjoyed chilling out with me today and geeking out over stationery! 💕
Wow sponsored stationary - fun fun! I've just dealt with a contractor giving me the run around about finishing a job so thank you for a lovely new video!
Omg I am Canadian and have never heard of Ferris Wheel Press and I have instantly fell in love!!! There products are so beautiful and magical! Also Algonquin is a provincial park in Ontario and it is the most beautiful place on the planet especially during fall! I go there almost every year with my family, and it is just breathtaking every time I go! 🍁🇨🇦🍁
This made me wish that I could do some calligraphy. My mom is actually a professional calligrapher and as much as I wanted to follow in her footsteps, my left-handedness screwed me over. Those inks though...maybe I should give it another go?
Go for it, I have calligraphy pens with a left hand nib. To avoid smudges I turn my page 1 quarter, I learned to write from right to left and from up to down like Chinese or Japanese writing. Or if it’s not possible to turn your page use a rolled up towel under your hand you won’t touch your page. I inherited moms pens and inks and although they are for right handed I use them with caution just adjust hospitals I hold them.
@@oceana4761 Oh, interesting! French isn't my first language but because I live in Canada we learn it in school... It's nice to have advice from a native speaker!
Trying to catch up on all your videos Cherry! You are amazing, and I get so jealous sometimes watching all your hauls! Lots of HP love from South Africa
One fancy thing about us in Vietnam, we spend our years in elementary school using this kind of pen. The ink is usually in purple, this color has became the symbol of students in all generation. I think these pens are quite fun to write with
@@marissa_softball yes i believe it but i saw a comment saying that “how there can be a comment written 1 day ago” and Cherry said : I accidently put it into a playlist and some people saw it. Sorry for my bad English (did i make a mistake?)
Hi Cherry, I came across your channel looking for reviews of this collection! I wanted to mention that you should actually leave the nib attached to the converter, and then draw the ink up through the nib in the way that you showed. Then just wipe off any excess ink off of the nib and reinsert it back into the body. Otherwise you’ll have to do some work to get the ink to flood the nib properly. Also, shimmering inks have larger particles that clog nibs when they are allowed dry out, so I would suggest fully cleaning and flushing your pen with water if you’re done using it for more than a day or two. You can also use a mild dish detergent like Dawn if there is any pigment build up when you clean it. I use a sonicator to gently clean my pens (and my jewelry so it’s double duty!) And keep them in good condition for years to come! One last tip, for anyone who is cleaning their nib about over the sink, make sure you put something over the drain hole because it is very common to drop the nib or converter accidentally when your hands are wet and I have lost an expensive nib that way. (The times, or the two points of the nude, are very finally tuned so being dropped against a hard surface is near guaranteed to mess up your pen and be an expensive repair.) There’s a really nice fountain pen subReddit for anyone who’s interested in learning more about fountain pens :-) there are also a lot of really good TH-camrs who talk about pen maintenance and care 💜 Love your channel and I’m subscribing.
This video could NOT have come at a better time. I've been eyeing Ferris Wheel for a while but didn't know if I should take the plunge for new ink for me and for Christmas gifts. Thank you so much for this Cherry!
I wanted to tell you that I am a Gryffindor to and I find you to be amazing. You are so fun to watch, I just started to watch you. Love you and your channel!!! When I am sad I go straight to your channel and it warms me up like a nice cup of coca! 😁😁❤❤❤ Also I can't believe I'm one of the first thousand to watch this AWESOME video!
Gorgeous fountain pens and inks! If you fill your ink reservoir , you first need to attach the converter to the nib 🖊 and then you put the nib entirely in the ink and then slowly twist the piston to draw the ink in the converter! Always fill the reservoir with nib attached!
I am currently stood outside my front door (pretending to go to work) so my partner can put my little one to bed, one of those days haha. Watching this is making the cold bearable lol
I have a bottle of their summer color called Grape Ice Pop. Their packaging is top notch. For those shimmer inks, before you fill make sure you shake it well. When it is in the pen, be sure to rotate your pen to redistribute the shimmer particles. With most shimmer inks, it is recommended to frequently clean out the pen. The shimmer bits can clog the feed and it gets harder to clean. Another thing is the paper will make a big difference in how the ink looks. Nice paper like Rhodia or Japanese Tomoe River will show off the ink well. I have a Leuchtturm journal, and it is good at showing shading of inks.
I've come across Ferris Wheel Press before. I couldn't get myself to splurge over $100 for just a pen, but I didn't realize there was such a genius component for the ink chamber! So cool that you could show us. 😊
That is called a converter! Converters and pistons are some of the most common ways to fill fountain pens. I really enjoy the process of choosing inks and filling my pens each day :-)

Hi Teresa, I wanted to mention that there are a lot of different brands that make fountain pens at all price points. The Ferris wheel press pen uses a steel nib, and while it does have a beautiful design you can find more affordable options for your daughter that she will love if this not in your budget. When I first started getting into fountain pens, I use and enjoyed the Pilot Kakuno ($10-$15), the Pilot Prera ($25-$40), and the TWSBI ECO ($35?) which comes in a lot of colors! Even though I have higher end pens now, all three of these are still reliable pens that I enjoy using. The Prera in particular is my go to gift of choice for anyone interested in getting into fountain pens but not sure they will like it enough to warrant a really expensive purchase. I realize this video is sponsored by Ferris wheel press and I don’t wanna take away from them, but I would hate for people to think that fountain pens are only a hobby for the wealthy. They can be enjoyed by anyone at just about any budget! If you need other suggestions please feel free to respond back! I got started in fountain pens as a student and I think it’s a good idea to start off with a more affordable pan especially to give your daughter a chance to learn how to maintain them which isn’t hard, you don’t wanna make any mistakes on an expensive pen! 😅 I think this brand makes very high-quality ink, I have about 10 of their colors! You can always pick up a bottle or two for your daughter because their inks work in any brand fountain pen. ✒️ ❤️
Is this stationery heaven? I mean, wow! Everything Ferris Wheel Press does looks so luxurious, I'm sure I turned into a big hearteyes emoji watching you unbox their fountain pens and inks xD

I use a fountain pen every day! So so happy to see you trying Ferris wheel press! Their pens and inks are absolutely stunning! I would love to afford one, one day.
I love Ferris Wheel Press so much! Their packaging somehow gives me a mid-19th century circus vibe and that's one of my fav aesthetics. 😍 Unfortunately you can barely find their products over here in germany. There is exactly one website that sells the ink at least but I'd LOVE to get my hands on one of those wonderful pens. 😭 Maybe I need to keep searching and hoping I can someday find one of those pens...
I love my FWP inks so much! Their products are undeniably expensive but that's why I only get a special treat for myself instead of regular ink restocking. It is great being able to support a Canadian company and several of their ink shades are really unique, so those are the ones that I have bought over the last couple years. They are lovely in my various fountain pens and great to use with brushes as well. I'm hoping that some day the gorgeous pens will be manufactured in Canada rather than just designed here, and then I will splurge on one.
I am also a typo addict, only found that they were close to me end of 2018 when they had a massive harry potter line. I only recently found your channel, from teh potter collector. Ummm this may have finally convinced me to make a purchase. Those shimmering inks, just wow. I cannot get over how gorgeous their packaging is, thank you so much for this video! Ps, you got the Algonquin pronunciation right the first time! 🇨🇦
I am having a hard time picking a fav pen color between those two too, both my top favs as well. They have some seriously gorgeous items! And vegan too, love it! I think the violette is my fav though, but all of the shimmering inks would be a must for me! I have wanted to get back into writing so badly and these alone would be an inspiration for sure.

You made me completely fall in love with Ferris Wheel Press. I'm a sucker for packaging and design, their inks are also super unique and magical. Their pens are only super expensive, the inks are at a reasonable price. It would be nice to know why the pens are so expensive, what's special about them? I do was wondering though, didn't they expect you to try out all their inks? Gosh, I wished I worked at that company, woooop.. Have fun writing :)

I just wanted to say that i love your voice, not in a wierd way (I am Australian with english herritage) and hearing ur voice has made me think of my family the added bonus is all the haryy potter stuff. my nan is helping me make a lilly luna cosplay at the moment.
I love the look and elegance of this brand, it looks like it could have come straight from the wizarding world, and it is even better that they are a Canadian brand. Home country represent🇨🇦🥰. Thanks for this cool opportunity Cherry💕
