I can relate to this on a smaller scale. My friends decided to start calling me and "alien" because I liked reading and I got good grades and could play an instrument. It was fine at first, but after a while they used it to exclude me from conversations. " Oh, you won't understand because you're an alien. " My family and other friends didn't help.They thought it was humorous. Especially because the name of my youth group was "Alien Youth".
