Was good, but not the best. One of the things that i love in this game is there are too many things connected with other games (like Cooper from Pro Street, Cross from MW, etc.). Another things is the tuning, day and night, the map (big and well, with city, desert, mountains, etc.), probably this could be a better NFS with Pursuits outside of Jesse's racing and the trap boxes of the map. And other things that i like in this NFS is the music, Heat and Unbound playlists sucks. But, in this NFS, you can feel the speed listening trap in the drifts, or rock and metal in the speed races.
@@IxMADMANxl may just be me but speaking as someone who's plat 2015 to unbound, payback has the worst everything out of all 4 except story (not a hard bar to beat) and handling (also not a hard bar to beat the handling on all these games are garbage compared to their competitors). 100% rather unbound considering its just a downgraded heat but heat in general is 3 steps above payback
Also, funnily enough, this is the most fleshed out story in the franchise. Other than Driver San Francisco and The Crew, there's no open world racing games with proper stories.

The 2 main cons of this game are the card system and the fact that cops just sort of give up on chases. Once you arrive at a specific point on the map, the police just lets you go, you don’t need to actually lose them which really sucks imo. That being said, this game is still far better than nfs 2015 and Heat which had many more problems.
I got platinum for this a few months ago....I mean it when I say I almost hated need for speed games after this. Like the whole story and the speedcross dlc are very well developed not gonna lie...but most of collectables made me so mad

i wouldn't consider this the worst nfs game. I really enjoyed it. The only thing i didnt like was the card system to upgrade the cars.
It's not as good as Heat or Unbound but it has it's appeal.

Yea I enjoyed it, it's story it's characters the cars. It could do without that loot box mechanic and it be a decent game.
