    I remember being eleven years old and seeing the Shout At The Devil gatefold and Mick scaring the crap outta me (standing in front of fire with the scowl on his face and long black hair). He looked like a satanic alien version of Chrissie Hynde… still flips me out that that’s the same soft spoken guy today.

    Mick is absolutely why I love Motley Cru. His sound Rules. His new stuff kills it. So so cool he is making more music. Great interview.

      Mick Mars is a very modest guy and his music does the talking just like Eddie Van Halen did. I could listen to Mick stories for hours on end. There's only one other famous musician who is very modest to talk with is Lou Gramm. I've talked with Lou Gramm many times about some of his music career but mostly old cars because he is a gear head also. Mick Mars is the genius behind Motley Crue without him the band would have never taken off. Rock on Mick! 👍

    Love Mick's style on the guitar and absolutely love, love, love to listen to him play. He's as good as Jeff Beck, Hendrix or any of those dudes. Love his new stuff. He's better off without the crue. He WAS the crue, at least for me. His guitar playing made that band!

    I e seen these guys play several times starting with the tour with Ozzy getting them exposed to the world. They never disappoint. What a great time to be young and energetic. 70-80s will never be out done for cool cars and the best music.

    Great interview! I remember back in the day the crue used to tell a different story about how they came up with the band name! I guess they didn’t want mick to get the credit! Also I had not heard about mick having someone backing them when they first started until the fued when they screwed mick over!

    Mick is great! I use to talk with him all the time, now that he is in Tennessee, kinda hard to talk,but he is Motley Crue John 5 is just phoning it in ,he didn't write the music ,and is a way. Better musician than anyone in that band ! Going on without the real founder,a d foundation of that band
    is a huge mistake, and will ruin the bands legacy. Maybe not immediately, but it will! Always side with Mick Mars!

    In my opinion Mick has a bass player personality.
    He’s a solid mostly laid back cat.
    This explains how he survived with the 3 other guys.
    Nikki was the lead guitarist in attitude.
    Just sayin…whatever ,it worked famously for years.

    I've seen you 2 times Mr. Mick . Sorry , but it was with those other 3 people. Both times a fight broke out right in front of me ! L O L !

    ..did Mick Mars party smoke or drink at any time during his time in the band

    • @Roger8176
      @Roger8176 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of course he did. Not quite to the extent of the others. He drank a lot. Did a bit of blow. Mostly alcohol though. He's been strung out on opiate pills that were prescribed to him before, but I think he has been clean for a while now. He has had bad luck with gold diggers, but he has a good woman now.

    I can honestly say if not for Mar’s vision and creativity, that band would never have made it without him in the band. Sixx is not a good musician and can’t really play bass. Neil is not a good vocalist, and Lee was an average drummer at best. I can’t imagine a band being called Christmas. I wasn’t so sure at first, but I’m convinced they would not have been signed without him. On another note, Sixx was in a band before that with Blackie Lawless, and lawless kicked him out of the band, because he said he had no talent.
