    Wow! I had no idea how humble Nikki is! What a great guy! Today is day one stopping from alcohol after 20 years. Im gonna lose my family and job if I don’t quit. I listened to this while taking a long walk this morning. Perfect time to stumble upon your podcast. I just got his audio book as well. Thanks for the the sober inspiration!

    Wow, now that is an interview, Nikki really keeps it real. I felt so intrigued just listening to him talk so freely and with such honesty. Motley Crue has and will always be my favorite rock band. Even today when I'm yelling "what" to whomever is trying to speak to me as my hearing is not the greatest. I remember blasting my Sony Walkman every day riding the school bus to my highschool and always starting my morning class with "smoking in the boys room still ringing in my ears. Motley Crue influenced me and has always been my goto music to listen, even today. Today's music just doesn't do it for me like listening to my original "Bad Boys"

    Crue, Crue, Crue. Loved them since I heard Theatre of Pain in 2nd grade. Young people have no idea The Crue was and the Times.

      Couldn't agree more! Everytime I go to concerts and everyone hold their phones up, I just get bummed and nostalgic thinking of the day where every phone was a boy lighter, so I always bring a lighter to hold up and show the young'ens how we do it.
      Anyhow...3rd grade when shout at the devil was all on the radio, ill never forgot everything about that moment. That was the intro to me discovering metal, being a metal head is a lie long affair. Cheers gents 🤟🤟

    9,000 views in a year ? Nikki is not that interesting. What's more interesting is in the liner notes of Shout At The Devil , song writing credits are given to "Sikki Nixx". I don't think it's a typo .

    Great interview, but the interviewer was really annoying because he kept wanting to focus on Nikki's past addiction stories. Why focus on this? Nikki has so many more stories to tell.

    • @STAYHUMBLE302
      @STAYHUMBLE302 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Because that’s what the show is about addiction and recovery ❤️‍🩹

    • @SilkyShish
      @SilkyShish ปีที่แล้ว

      @@STAYHUMBLE302 Yes, I know. But, how does Nikki being asked to share some of his wild past "party day" stories of things he did when he was hi have anything to do with recovery? It doesn't. I can understand being asked about what it was in his story that led him into addiction and led him to recovery as being relevant. But to be asked to share his fun, wild party stories is absolutely irrelevant and a huge misstep for the interviewer to make.

    • @xdef1ne

    hi dave i am an heroin addict and a alcoholic sad but true.

  • @mickobrien3156
    @mickobrien3156 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sure, I agree. Heroin rules! And drugs don't kill. Drug 'abuse' kills. There's a huge difference. Granted, it's super hard to not abuse heroin. But whatever. If you can use opioids responsibly, they're as harmless as the clouds in the sky. That's easier said than done, though.

    • @dgenerated
      @dgenerated 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is a loaded topic and rather irresponsible..

    • @mickobrien3156
      @mickobrien3156 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dgenerated I just meant physiologically, opioids aren't inherently toxic to the human body or damaging in prescribed therapeutic doses. It's the overuse, or misuse, that makes opioids turn dangerous. Too much of anything is harmful. After all, the saying is 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away.' It doesn't say to eat 40 apples a day.

    • @dgenerated
      @dgenerated 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @mickobrien3156 Very true, though unfortunately, many of us have to find out the hard way.. My twist was alcohol and after an accident I was turned onto pain pills and it's the typical story and initially I wasn't abusing them.. Though one becomes two, becomes four and so on and so starts a lifelong addiction that I would wish on no one!.. I don't see opiates really as "recreational " as most spiral out of control and spend the rest of their lives trying to recover, but to each their own I suppose?.. You're just really in for it when you find that one substance that truly connects with you!..
