This is a spiffing watch, great review btw. I totally missed this release. I am now binging your content! 😅 Maybe I missed it, but may I ask where you purchase this please? I have only ever purchased Glycine from ADs in the past, but the grey market is temping, I'm just concerned as I have had serveral terrible experiences with Joma and a few others and never went back. Thank you and keep up the great videos. Best regards, TGV
Just bought one in 36mm. A part from the sleek design and thin case, it was the only one that I could find with butterfly clasp. Nobody is talking about how good of an option the 36mm is as a ladies watch. Very satisfied with the purchase!
@@corinalina We have a lack content creators reviewing female watches. Perhaps because most women of today wear smart watches. There was a time when, on average, women would wear fashion watches. You’d spot some higher end watches on their wrists from time to time. I’m certain the 36mm is a fantastic watch for the ladies, kids, and men with small wrists. Happy you’re satisfied with your Glycine!
I bought the green version of this watch and love it so much I'm also considering the version you have too. Was so confused why the center links were brushed instead of polished until you said you changed them yourself 😂 I personally prefer the center polished links. Great review. You know your stuff.

Updated Edit: Glycine brought the 39mm combat sub back. Note: I mistakenly stated the case thickness is about 12mm, when it is 11.2mm in thickness. Also, unfortunately, after emailing Glycine, they stated they will not make anymore 39mm Combat Subs. Official spec sheet from Glycine: glycine-watch.ch/watches/datasheet/gl0401-combat-sub-unisex

Thank you. You’re welcome. Like most, I used a scotchbrite pad for dishes. Using the green side, you can turn polished surfaces into a brush finish; additionally, you can use it to remove scratches on brushed surfaces. I would only use it on bracelets and clasps, not cases. Remove the bracelet from the case to make things easier and to prevent damaging the case’s finish. There’s tutorials on TH-cam. If you want a more professional finish, you can use finishing blocks and/or sandpaper. If a watch is under $1k - watches I don’t mind damaging - a scotchbrite provides an acceptable finish. I’ve seen people use them on their Rolex watches, though, so to each their own lol
@@RabbitWatchShop Thanks, will definitely try your method and finish it off with some fine sandpaper. Like many others I have been using Cape cod with a fairly successful outcome but one thing to bear in mind is that cape cod tends to leave this almost high polish/ glossy finish which isn't always wanted
Thanks a lot for the very detailed, well thought out video. Unfortunately they're really hard to find at a reasonable price nowadays. Do you think this would fit an 8 inch wrist or would I be better off going after a 42?
With all links, the band length is 174mm long. I'm not sure if that would fit you or not, but I have seen a big guy reviewing this on YT. I think the 39mm wide case will suit any size wrist, unless you're Shaq lol. The 42mm Glycine Combat Subs are good watches, too. I've seen nothing but positive reviews concerning them. Hope this helps. Thank you for your kind words!
@@RabbitWatchShop Cheers for the response and yeah it did help. That's a pity with the 17cm band. I'd have no choice but to chuck it on another strap. I'm leaning more towards the GL0484, as it's virtually the same and actually available 😅 keep up the greats reviews mate. Thanks again and happy collecting!

What is the dimension of your wrist? Mine it's 6.3'' and I am torn between 39 and 36mm.
6.25 after losing weight. Since the 39 has a better clasp, and it is thin and has a midsize lug to lug, go with the 39.
