Hi guys, my top check ball is stuck. Your vid is great for the cleaning the lower ball. Using a small pic I found the upper ball is stuck. How do I get the upper ball unstuck?
You can poke the upper ball with a very thin tool, like a screw driver or punch. Alternatively, you might have to disassemble the upper section of the pump to access the top ball. We will make a video on this troubleshooting step!
Graco Ultra Max II 490 have hard time getting it to pump i have clean everything and still not geting no were. is there anywere in canada to get this fixed ?
Good tech tips try use warm water and a hanfull of laundry powder mixed well to flush pump after use everytime, heaps better than water , then use atomex pump saver , to help stop this from happening , carby cleaner works well for cleaning inlet out quickly once removed.

Hi guys just want to ask i have a 490 airless sprayer when i turn the switch on the unit would not start at all smart control doesnt give me any fault code just a dotted line then after a few seconds it started to spark then smells burn what could be the problem im from the philippines thank you
Hi Oyie, it sounds like you most likely are in need of a control board replacement. The sparks and smell you mention could be from bad power to the machine - if you are running off unstable power you to the Graco spray units, it is recommended that you use a surge protector. If the unit is new, you should return it to the place where you purchased and see if they can repair under warranty. If the unit is older then I would take it to the closest repairer for inspection. Hope this helps!
So my Graco 495 ultra max 2 low boy primes up but it once pressured up it stops running of course but if you let it set for a few minutes it cycles once then shuts off it does this every few minutes exactly like clock work What is causing it to do this? I’m guessing it’s dropping in pressure but why?
Hi Jeremy, thanks for the great comment! This is completely normal and not something to worry about at all, it is just the machine jogging to ensure that there are no air cavitations on the line and that the pressure is still constant. You only need to start worrying if it doesn't stall when it reaches the pressure. Hope this helps!
Hey Carmen, that definitely doesn't sound right - it could be either a faulty control board or motor. I'd recommend taking your 490 to a service centre and having them look at it. It should be covered under warranty if the motor is the fault. Hope this helps!

Mine is priming fine but when I change it to come out the gun it goes dead. Tried changing the hose but it is still the same
This video just saved me. Took it apart still wouldn't prime put it back together hit it with hammer and it started priming

I have Graco pron ×19, it is neither priming or building pressure to the gun.
I did all those steps and put a new prime valve still doesn’t prime ..
