You forgot to mention the transmutation part of the probe, it turns all ammo into universal ammo and all energy and health orbs into both. Incredibly useful for keeping your squad stocked in defence and survival runs.

I've stopped playing Warframe long ago, and from what I can see in this video, it's very much still the same game run by the same people. But damn, listening to you rant is somehow really fun. Super late, but I strongly recommend adding umbral fiber in there. You already get 675 armor. You're a tank with all 3 umbrals. Extra useful since your abilities are mostly point blank and strength is nice.
the math i did awhile ago, viral stright up is better untell you get to 9 stacks of equivilant corrosive then that gets more dmg output on armored enemys
i like spamming the 2 inbetween ults. mixing it up between radiation and viral will set up your ults nicely while also giving rather decent CC and passive damage, like nyx's 3 but with cold procs and viral procs mixed in. in choke points, it's great.
Tbh... I'm only staying with chroma because: 1) looks cool, not flabby like lavos 2) I made a space in my heart for chroma 3) my chroma has about 6 forma and I ain't letting that hardwork go
as a Lavos enthusiast, i would like to make a comment here to explain how to use each of his abilities, since some things i noticed Trib didnt mention. his 1 shouldnt use heat or toxin, but rather the specific type of damage good against the armor enemies use. alloy, ferrite, or sinew, being corrosive, viral, and radiation respectively. this gives a +75% dmg bonus to his 1, maximising healing. his 2 he summed up pretty well, so not much to comment there, aside from you can toss on more cold, since non damaging procs proc 3 times (corrosive, viral, cold, radiation, and gas) so you can proc 6 cold, making enemies a lot slower. his 3 is quite OP for proccing, since it can apply procs more than once, so toss it towards enemies, tap 3 when its in the middle to stop it, and let those rviral, corrosive, or magnetic procs stack. as for his 4, the status multiplier is 2^statuses. so if you imbue his 1 with corrosive or viral, and his 3 with viral or whatever the enemy is weak to, then use his 4, the damage is....... at 100% power? 2k (1K from innate, 1K from imbued)*2^4 (16)*100%*1.75, so 56k. and thats pure damage, not counting the potential 300% damage increase from viral, or armor reduction from corrosive.
Okay, so... Since your reasonable complaints, I come with news about "Jellyfish Head" here. So, they didn't change any of the cooldown stuff, BUT they didn't completely ignore it. Because now, we got an augment for Lavos's "Ophidian Bite" that helps solve that problem. "Swift Bite," which reduces the cooldowns of any of your abilities by four seconds each time you hit at least four enemies. However...it's only accessible via Red Veil or New Loka, so unless you're allied with either of those, cross your balls and pray. Edit: With that in mind, if you really like playing Lavos for the sake of his Catalyze, you can get your cooldown back pretty quickly with use of Swift Bite and Transmutation Probe. I'd probably go with Swift Bite first in a big group, THEN throw out the Probe, Cedo disk, and then Catalyze. By the time you've got all that down, you've got Swift Bite ready to use again for your Probe, and repeat.
My Lavos only has 45% efficiency because I have him at almost 300% range and his Transmutation Probe can hit every enemy in front of me. So I may be a smooth brain, but under the smooth there's wrinkles.
At @4:02 when his fleeting expertise mod was not maxed yet he had just one more point perfect for the mod to be maxed it hurts my soul to see this i literally cried for 3 minuets after this god bless this man someone he need TO MAX THAT MOD
The real trick to Lavos is to remember which factions take bonus damage from what. Imbue viral onto your Vial Rush, then launch Catalyze with whatever will do the most bonus damage. If Grineer, then throw out corrosive on Catalyze. If Corpus, then throw out Magnetic with Catalyze. If Infested, then laugh as everything evaporates around you no matter what buttons you press.
Make catalysts bounce off walls and switch element as you switch it yourself. That way as it bounces and hits enemies again it'll apply a new element making the damage ramp up as it keeps bouncing.

Big agree with this video. Lavos' opportunity cost doesn't justify what he can do most of the time. Just because he CAN output millions of dmg, it means jack diddly squat when most of the roster can do the same but with less setup and loadout requirements. Whether it's an issue with the lack of direction in the game, or in the name of "game balance" in this primordial stew of a mess that is Warframe, Lavos could use some more love. Either indirect via element proc rework/overhaul, or outright better kit numbers. idk I'm not a game dev, I just wanna see this reptilian lad be worthy of his title as an alchemist.
For steel path, because I'm not damage stacking constantly, I rather use radiation for the crowd control...enemies not in the area yet will be shooting each other for a while, and in certain situations, with high enough duration, his 4 proc will last long enough to boost the damage of his next 4 lol

I've literally started worshipping the Cedo when I got my hands on it, and I don't even use guns. Half of the time I fight the exploiter orb I just jump at it and spam E.
675 isnt lavos´ base armor. Because he doesn´t have an energy bar, leveling him to lvl 30 grants +%armor instead of +%energy. Still pretty good amount of armor tho
i prefer lavos over chroma, chroma just feels like a gunslinger frame with the added ice to ignore bullets, lavos can cast and actually erase people with it, chromas only damaging powers are his 1 (useless) and 4 (handicapper and eats energy) lavos feels a lot better than chroma because he isn't needed to be a masochists to deal stupid amounts of damage, use cedo n watch everyone get a dozen procs to boost his 4
you forgot to mention the part where he can use railjack abilities for free (with a cooldown), making him the absolute best pilot there is. otherwise very sexy video
