Anyone knows what sound was used for Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder on the "BAD" album, Song: "Just Good Friends". It's similar to the DX Bass but it's more "Sonic the Hedgehog-ish". (I know)
That is a sick bassline and it's definitely reminiscent of the DX7 and FM synths, I hope you figure it out This might help from Rory Kaplan who did live stuff with Michael Jackson during the Bad era "We each had DX7 II FD’s, Roland D-50’s, I had a Fairlight CMI IIX, Greg also had a Korg DW-8000. Our Racks; we each had Yamaha TX-816’s With Yamaha MV-802 mixers to sub mix the 816’s. We each had Roland MKS-80’s with MPG-80’s, MKS-70’s, MKS-20’s. As the tour progressed I added a Mini Moog rack mounted by Greg St. Regis, and Prophet VS rack version, also the Roland D-550. We used Lexicon PCM 70’s, Yamaha REV5’s, Yamaha SPX90 II’s."
Think its a layered FM bass , One is FM bass a bit brighter the other might be FM bass as well with lower cutoff and slow attack for the lows. M.J used lots of FM bass on most of his albums because it was poppy, snappy and very distinctive for feel or groove of a song.

ＹＡＭＡＨＡはＦＭ音源とピアノの音が本当に素晴らしいと思う。
バンドでのキーボードに特化したシンセが欲しいかな。還暦前だと運搬に疲れるんだよね。
