Well the new series is trying to teach new generation of kids so repeating the same plot is important because they can give updated information instead how in the original some information is outdated like Pluto being a planet
j.r.d.l the main ones I see being redone is the outer space episode the underwater episode and the computer episode
I think an underwater episode should be remade, because we're constantly discovering new animals that live in the depths of the ocean. I didn't actually see the original show, but I'm sure there are a lot of new sea animals to talk about

Let's admit it, Lin-Manuel Miranda singing the theme song gives a little street cred to this show.
Patrick Ragland I couldn't care less about the street cred. The original theme song was the best out of any other show at the time. It was fast and soulful. The new one sounds like Lin was trying to remember the lines and it was only the first take. The new theme doesn't have to be the EXACT same as the original, but if they are using the same words, at least use the same pace. I'm gonna go listen to the original for some ear bleach.

I get it. The animation looks Terrible but I think if it has some good writing and some references to the old magic School bus... I'll get past the animation really quick and just appreciate the tone and references. :) Still going to watch the first couple of episodes to see if its good...

I doubt they would crossover. Ignoring the fact that TTG is Warner Brothers and this isn't, the Magic School Bus is an edutainment show, designed specifically to educate and entertain like many preschool shows. TTG is not designed for edutainment. Having Magic School Bus crossover with a show like Sesame Street or Curious George makes sense they're both edutainment, and the original show aired on PBS Kids.
Conclusion it won't have a crossover with anything because it's on Netflix...

Reboots the way to crush childhoods
It's for elementary school students. Why would they care about a bunch of 25-30 year olds who also want to watch this. I'm not saying adults can't like cartoons. Obviously they can and there are shows made for them. But this isn't it. Show this to your 7 year old nieces or nephews and leave it at that. YOU don't have to like it bu hopefully they will.

David Zung was the production designer of the magic School for Scholastic to reboot the magic School bus as an update reboot series it was going to in 3D animation on his website you can see some concert art of it what the show would look like before it was changed to the magic School bus Rides again

I personally don't like the new art style or the cheap flash-looking animation, but it does have potential for good storylines. Remember: Looks can be deceiving. I mean, that netflix anime Ajin: Demi-Human had really awkward and choppy animation but the story was actually really good and it kept me hooked. Could be similar with Magic School Bus Rides Again.

I'm glad they're bringing this series back for today's kids. The original was a great cartoon that made learning fun for young viewers. I agree that the animation is ugly, though. However, I understand why they went with the simple art style, as it is aimed at younger children.

Also one thing I wish people hadn't lost sight of when complaining about the new teacher or stuff is the entire point of the Magic School Bus.

2) Be entertaining and fun to watch
If it accomplishes those two things it will be faithful to the source material.
We can't as people and kids of the past complain about the lack of educational television nowadays but when The Magic School Bus comes back, which is what we wanted, we focus more on the voice acting cast than what the point of the show is and always has been.
If the show educates people in a fun and entertaining way there won't be any reason to hate on it.
When ever someone makes a remake of a TV show or a sequel with different animation and voices people complains about it before it even comes out
The big thing people miss is that the science is gonna be updated. Now, there's nothing wrong with the original, but it does get some things wrong. So hopefully this series gets things right.

The old one to me was WAY better. Like the characters looked more realistic and charming and you gotta admit the script of the old one way far more engaging.
The kids acted like actual kids (arguing, jokes, sarcasm, not really wanting to learn at first) unlike this where they just point out the obvious and say "awesome" all the time :|
