Making A Tall And Skinny Soap Mold

I made this mold with a plastic sign (Corrugated Plastic), but a similar process could be made with cardboard, which I describe in the blog post here, as well as the making of the liner: soapsbyglenda....

Great job Glenda I’ve made several molds like this but didn’t do the diagonal corners and have had leakage but I did not use a liner. I like the tape idea. The plastic is a challenge to cut straight for sure.

Great video, however would like to know how to avoid the bulging of the mold from middle. I poured the soap and then in the middle its getting bulge

Avinash C you can put strong tape in the middle (top) if your design allows for it. I did that for a galaxy soap (different mold but same problem). Or if you can put something heavy next to the mold on both sides to keep in place. Another option I tried was making a rigid frame with Legos for a silicone mold, but I had a lot of legos and extra time in my hands
