Even though I forgot to record the binder clips, they were found at Dollar Tree for $1.08 after tax. Unbelievable...but believe it! Soap making can get expensive, so why not learn how to use accessible, inexpensive alternatives to those pricey soap molds? Here, I show you a few things you can use as soap molds without breaking the bank. Thanks for watching! ♥

    **NOTE: For the plastic dollar store tub & the Coroplast mold, you need to line them with plastic food wrap before pouring your soap batter in them in order to be able to unmold the soap easily.

    Awesome!! A perfect way do your own size bars too. Also, another word for cutting just the top layer would be scoring. Ty for sharing!

    Thank youuu! Im home in quarantine so I wanted to finally try soap making but when my materials came I noticed that I accidentally ordered a form too small 😩 this really helped me, I couldn't find anywhere what else I can use for the mold and most sites in my country didn't even sell forms in the size I needed

    Dang clever.
    What was the total cost vs what a “real” one would cost?
    You sound American but is that Home Depot in BC by chance?

    Thanks for the video Cristi... question... do the sides bow outwards with the weight of the soap batter?

    • @TheElementSoap
      @TheElementSoap  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mark! Thanks for watching & great question! The sides will bow out with the coroplast molds, even with smaller batches.

    Hey, Cristi. Thank you so much for this! i think ill try making it. I have a question, though, do you think i can oven bake a soap using this mold? I'm not sure if the material would be appropriate for oven. Thank you :)

    • @TheElementSoap
      @TheElementSoap  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi A. Gil. Thank you for watching & great question! This material is corrugated plastic, so it won't be safe for use in the oven or with extremely high temperatures. Happy soaping! ♥

    Hi, can it survive CPOP?

    • @TheElementSoap
      @TheElementSoap  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've never tried it with CPOP, but I wouldn't recommend it. It probably won't survive that process.
