Wait, are these all just 7 chords? That's amazing.

Really good cover, I particularly enjoyed your singing low in the mix (unless that’s Kevin’s vocals?).
    I’m obsessed with this track.

Thanks for watching! Haha that's Kevin's vocals -- I'm playing over the original song.

Hello, could you tell me the strumming pattern to this?

    • @charietuna2132

Hi! Thanks so much for watching. The main thing is to always upstrum whenever there is a slide. Here is a very rough approximation of how I think I'm strumming in the chorus: DDDUD UUDDU UUDDU. The verses are pretty simple -- outside of the initial two downstrums, it's just DUDU, again doing the upstrum on the slide. Hope that helps!

This is amazing!! How is your experience with the squire Jazzmaster? Ive been looking to get a JM on a somewhat budget but not sure if i should get a player and replace the pickups or go for a Squire classic vibe/ J mascis

Thanks so much! I can't speak to other jazzmasters, but the J Mascis has been really fantastic! It feels really good to play, and I never go back to play the Yamaha Pacifica I was playing before. It's of course perfect for MBV, but it's also really versatile. I use it for all my covers and sounds great. The bridge position does a fairly good job at getting humbucker sounds too. Anyway, would definitely recommend it! Let me know what you end up deciding!

I see! I was a bit worried with the quality of the squire Jazzmasters cause ive heard people have had some issues with that, but in terms of the actual features and specs I honestly prefer them alot compared to the Player series Jazzmasters. The player doesnt have original jazzmaster pickups and removes the circuit that the squire ones still have & is even more expensive! Definitely considering the Squire one more now, thank you!

Awesome tone, thanks for the cover and info in your chain. You could work on your strumming timing tho
