There's been some cool guests this season, but I'd really like to see people who are more into Magic and didn't just start playing recently. Don't have to be competitive players or anything, just people who've been playing it on and off for years like most of us.
+Rebazar It was so much more fun to watch Sean and LSV play with the clash packs then it is these new players. Just watching people gloat over mediocre plays and mediocre creatures is just not fun.
+Smeagol the Vile well if you say that they should gloat only at good cards then there aren't any outside of Siege Rhino/Collected company and windswept heath in that clash pack. Also Janet played pretty good. They realy realy realy need established deck somehow because those duel decks or clash packs never have enough removal or board wipes to stabilize the board when you fall behind. It creates very snowbally games like have been happening in the last few episodes.
+Derek Barnett I hope you are joking. The basic cards in blue are very terrible in standard these days. Only the Dissolve/silumgar scorn/dig through time/treasure cruise and the likes are good. Those cards would never be played on this show. They don't play good custom deck. They play sealed products. Blue is the worse color in limited imo. Name me one creature that is good in blue. Outside of Pearl Lake, Silumgar's and Ojutai's and maybe Icefall Regents, none are played. Sean would get crushed by an average creature deck unless he had unreasonable amount of good counterspells ... which they don't use.

I think this might be my favorite episode, great banter and i appreciate bringing beginer players on, it helps for players who dont know to much about magic to learn with them. My wife really connected with Janet and anything that might get her interested in adding Magic to our game nights is fine by me.
21:46-22:04 that transition from slightly hopeful to just sarcastic is just hilarious. Especially after he lays down the Longshot Squad. The way he brings out that creature followed by his explanation, you can almost taste the sarcasm as it oozes out of his voice lol.
I just started magic because of this show and I have to say, I would really enjoy playing with people like her. I get that this can be a strategy-heavy game and there will be people who just want to concentrate on the game on itself...but I rather just banter and add some life into my matches.
Harvey Hale I actually have the most fun with people who try and play the most interesting interactions. Yeah it's cool that she digs the flavor text but that would get old after a while because at the end of the day it's still a shitty card.
