Moffat is an immortal of Aussie touring car racing. Not many people get to be legends in their own lifetimes but Moffat certainly is.

Seen Al in tears in other interviews when he recalls the 1-2 finish! He knows well what a sacrifice Bond made for him. Sad that he's stricken with dementia these days. A gentleman he is...

He was in great form in this! He was struggling at the time but he had his good days and I’m so glad this was a good day for him so he could share this with all of us

I had the privilege of taking to Allen, while I was fitting a bullbar to a Ford Territory at FPV . Allen spent 10min asking questions and generally talking to me. He is a good man, I'll remember that forever. Oh and he flew the blue ovel . 👍

I am so glad I had the pleasure of watching Moffat from the start and his brilliant races against Brocky. I would also like to remind people, that Ford Racing did not put as much into Australian Racing as General Motors Holden did, and that was to their detriment.

I read that Larry Perkins and Fred Gibson are acting as advocates for Allan, helping him and taking him on outings to classic car race meets and workshops where they can. to which Al loves and responds well to.

He is an icon of motorsport in Australia and was a big part of the Holden vs Ford rivalry. Loved it when he teamed with Brock in the latter days. They were the true odd couple.

2021 and Moffat's dementia can be seen advancing. Sadly I witnessed the same scenario with my mother in 2010. Mark certainly showed due respect with this "interview".
I was privileged the watch the late 60s and 70s racing in the days of Moffat and Brock. Brock was my favorite driver overall and his races with Moffat were legendary. But the highly publicised 1977 "one two finish" was, for me, a low point in Moffat's career. In an interview with an aging Colin Bond, Bond states his biggest regret in his career was letting Moffat win that race. Brock would go on to take the unstoppable A9X to two glorious Bathurst wins changing the way manufacturers looked at the great race.
