  • Media houses are projected to lay off more employees in the next 5-10 years due to shrinking revenue inflows. This revelation comes from experts at East Africa Radio Advertising Service (EARS), a media sales agency. The experts also warn that some media houses face potential closure due to declining revenues and competition from new media platforms.
Douglas Mutumba, Managing Director of East Africa Radio Advertising Service, stated that in their five years of operations in Uganda, they have partnered with over 192 radio stations across the country, but many still struggle to generate sufficient revenue.
