I love my 2001 E250 cargo van. It's my daily driver. I paid $1,300 for it. It has the 4.2 V6 with over 236,000 miles. And it still runs great. Good gas mileage. Cruise and AC. Yes cruise. Not too many baselines cargo vans has cruise, but mine does. Just need to replace a couple sensors and then the engine light will goes off. This van never let me down, and it doesn't matter where I'm going.
i use your youtube test drive videos as my white noise to help me sleep at night. also I am autistic. i like 15 passenger vans, and Airbus A321 aircraft as a hobby. i also like Yamaha stereo equipment.
These V8 Econoline vans have a great sounding engine in my opinion, my dad uses a 1993 for daily duties but he also has a few 1990 models that we might put a diesel in lol
Seriously, Ford Econolines are my favorite vans! Tell me, why do they make the front-end so weird? The steering doesn't roll out the way a car does. I drove the 15-passenger version once and I learned that almost the hard way. Man it was freaky!
My 2005 E150 has served me well for 13 years so far. Other than routine maintenance like oil changes, tires and brakes, the only issues I've had were a faulty instrument cluster and door lock cables ends breaking. The ball joints are now in need of replacement but that's not unusual for a work vehicle with nearly 120,000 miles on it. Gas mileage has been terrible though, averaging 11 MPG. Speaking of gas, how much did you put in? Like a buck? The gas gauge hardly moved.
patdthomas Also, shitty gas mileage due to carrying or towing along with a big engine. Too bad I have yet to see a fuel efficient work van or truck. They think you make so much money you can afford to pay the gas.
My mother in-law has a 2001 Ford Econoline, and I want to buy it from her and do some work on it, I actually drive the van occasionally, I like the fact that it is high enough but it definitely needs a lot of work on the inside and a little bit of the outside...
Contractor vehicles generally don’t have much luxury asides from comfortable seats and a navigation systems depending on the brand and model. They are strictly ment to haul and work. Sure you can swap out the basic radio or add a navigation system.
agree. i personally like trucks ans SUVs, dont like cars though, but i also like vans and agree;so shut up people the van isnt creepy and most of these vans are used by buisnesses rather than for personal use anyway, and anyone who does use a van for creep purposes is the proble, the van can't help it its a van...seriously...
Very nice, I love these vans! These and the GM Vans are the best really! Whenever you find one, you should do a tour and possibly a test drive a Chevy Express or GMC Savana, preferably 2003 and newer. And also when you find one of these, do a test drive and tour of a Chevy Astro or GMC Safari van. I don't care if it's passenger or cargo. Thanks in advance and cheers! Adam
Do you have any tips on driving a van like that? I would assume that driving a van is different from driving a regular car cause of the difference in suspension and less responsive breaks and gas and more weight
ALWA?YS LOVED the Ford cars and work vans. They got some nasty engines in them. My dad has a family van a 2006 Ford E-150 with a 5.4 lt V8 and that thing is NASTY. Its also a pretty van.
my buddy has an e350. that thing's a monster. he's trashed it though. packed so full of junk no one knows whats at the bottom. they sure do get up and go though
My dad's got one of these as a company work truck for Meenan, it's got the same exact engine as our 03 expedition and it bugs the hell out of me that his work truck has a more badass sound to it. I think it's due to ford putting a quieter muffler on the expedition to make it more into a peaceful pussified family wagon. Ah, it is what it is though. :)
I know and 2014 was the final year they built them. Ford has made tons of mistakes when it came to auto manufacturing by discontinuing good auto mobiles.
@@timbuktug3321 Out of the Panther platform cars, I like the Grand Marquis. Good looking car. I have a 2016 Ford Escape and my parents own a 2013 Lincoln MKT. I figured why not get a Mercury, at some point. Right?
This is the best van ever... the most faster and very safe V8 Engine, Now I Got a new one Ford E-150 model 2010 very popular here in the Philippines... But the Problem is very expensive in gasoline and maintenance..Nyahahahaha!!!!!
@talldude123 I believe around 12 city and 16hw with a V8, 9 city and 12hw with a V10 I know a few people that own these vans. Ford states you can get 19hw with a V8 and the highest they got was 17 empty drive easy.
Nope, under hard acceleration, CVT's go up to redline and stay there. All the V8 Ford transmissions are like this (most of them at least). I know because my dad has an '03 Town Car with the 4.6L V8 and 4 Speed transmission, like most V8 Fords.
1:23 the hand movement when he put that van in drive love it 😊
Heck yeah buddy

Thats the cleanest ford econoline i ever seen, if i had a drivers licence and had good money and live near there, id' buy that van and use it.
these vans are also great for carrying large groups of gangs XD
Gang sliding these were perfect for crime back in days you can just use a butter knife and boom
XD

wow so few people get to drive this, i would save up every penny i had to drive this
Haven’t driven one in awhile, miss this feeling
Kevin Wayne Straughan's 2005 Ford E150 cargo van was the best
vehicle for me to drive, and it was my favorite van, too!
I loved the cargo van!

I want one of these to make a modern day shaggin wagon complete with the RV couch that folds into a bed and shag carpet
I like that van
My friend's parents have 8 kids, and they own an E-350 with 13 seats installed.
Oh, wow. :) Well, at least they have a way to get all their kids around.
WTF ALOT OF KIDS
I find this to be mildly funny
Something I call a Cheaper by the Dozen family.
THANK YOU FOR CORRECTLY using the MIDDLE LANE!
awesome vid man and great job on that test drive video
These and the GM vans are the only, really!
Seriously, Ford Econolines are my favorite vans! Tell me, why do they make the front-end so weird? The steering doesn't roll out the way a car does. I drove the 15-passenger version once and I learned that almost the hard way. Man it was freaky!
HEY THATS MY JOB! Jamies car cleaning service :)
We got an 06 with 300k miles and it runs great
yeah some of us have to work and don't have the luxury of driving around in bently's.
True enough for right now haha. Dodge made some full-sized vans 'til 2003. The Sprinter doesn't count, lol. Nissan has a full sized van now though.

I got this van for free from my dad without all the shelves and the cage
i was just thinking kyle, it must be cool to drive and see so many different vehicles. its not the everyday thing the average person experiences lol
My mother in-law has a 2001 Ford Econoline, and I want to buy it from her and do some work on it, I actually drive the van occasionally, I like the fact that it is high enough but it definitely needs a lot of work on the inside and a little bit of the outside...
i love the video man
I LOVE FORD
Those HVAC controls look straight out of the the refreshed 92 Ford Aerostar.

You should have kept the van and put Saabkyle04 on the side!
great video kyle :) But your right, that thing is loud inside lol

Rape vans are a myth. I driven vans for years, and not once have i gotten a women to take advantage of me in my van.
@Jfizzle9191 uh yes they are. triton is just the truck version, with lower end torque and has 3 valves per cylinder. Its the same engine.

Thats the best van!! BTW, they also use it in NYC!
Dollar Vans.
Very Nice truck is better than tránsit !
@Jfizzle9191 triton is a truck version of the same engine used in the crown vic.
I put 483,000 + miles on a 1999 f150 Triton 4.6 motor. Their practically bullet proof.

How do you get to go around driving all these cars???
Whoever owns this van can definitely steal your girl
my buddy has an e350. that thing's a monster. he's trashed it though. packed so full of junk no one knows whats at the bottom. they sure do get up and go though
Saabkyle04 could you please reshoot, reedited and repost the test drive the 2005 Ford E150 cargo van vedio
Robert Barber that dealership he used to work at is permanently closed
@PNSB101 I drove a 97 E250 with a 4.2L v6 for work. Good torquey acceleration from 0 to 40 then runs out of steam.
if i were to get one of these, i wouldn’t want anything back there already, just empty space for me to haul cargo and stuff
That’s literally what i did.
My dad's got one of these as a company work truck for Meenan, it's got the same exact engine as our 03 expedition and it bugs the hell out of me that his work truck has a more badass sound to it. That van retired way to early.

@@timbuktug3321 Especially when they discontinued Mercury as a whole.
@@MasterJim2020 oh I agree. Loved the Mercury models. I had a 2007 Grand Marquis. God I miss that car a lot it’s not even funny

a lil loud because there is no insulation ( sound deadening materials etc. ) no comfort stuff installed. other than seats maybe ac and a basic stereo.
