17000 kms done with xpulse 200..inshorts: save your hard earned money And go for some other bike in the market...story: I change engine oil for every 1500kms ..even after caring so much .....I was complaining from the 2nd service about a sound and excess heating of engine but the service team never bothered ...now the piston is broken ..service team didn't let me take the pic and replaced piston, head, piston rings n rod ....now before the next service I have a very annoying sound in engine ...service team again did some lathe work yet the issue persists..service team says they will bring their engineer and nobody has come yet after 1 month...I have met many xpulse owners from Kerala, Karnataka, TN and most of the owners have engine issues ....this bike is nothing but a product failure ...only thing hero does better about this bike is digital marketing to trap buyers ...
I had a feeling Hero company told reviewers of xpulse 4v to refrain from test drive since new upgrade is a huge margin improvement from the bs6 model. Hero doesn't want to lose money on the old model
Was thinking about exchanging my xpulse for the new one. But as my rides are mainly long range , the mileage is lower on Highway. Will stick with my old gun for now. Also 20% illumination enhancement is insignificant and would still have to go for aftermarket lights. That was only gripe and has not been fixed as yet. Awesome review as always.
hope hero release the same engine with touring bike.. it will be good with 19" front wheel & 17" back tubeless wheels.. with a bit of needed cosmetic changes for touring..

If off-road isn't the thing.. cbr250r is still the king of long range touring in India .. perfect riding position, perfect power, perfect suspension, perfect reliability, perfect handling.. everything is so perfect... pity we can't buy it new now though... Bikes like xpulse are not that ideal for long distance touring as the riding position put 100% weight on your back and a too soft suspension and a soft seat further add to your body movement while riding hence making you tired in less time. But for off-road adventure this thing looks perfect...
The most irritating ad on yt currently olx autos 😂😂😂. For the xpulse 4v it was good and they made it better now. What they need to improve is the area of rust my bs6 has rust points on the swingarm and many others have faced more sever rust issue hopefully this one is better in this regard.
When I took it for test drive, there was a really bad heating issue near the catalytic convertor, not sure if it was specifically the test drive bike or all the bikes having the issue
Maybe it's test drive bike issue xpulse have liquid and air cooling both so there is no chance engine will overheat I have bs4 xpulse with air cooling and I never saw her overheating

Hello.... I own Xpulse 200 4V from past 8 months and driven around 7,000Kms. I thought of doing offroading, long tours etc before purchasing Xpulse. But now am just using it as a simple city bike. My requirement is daily 30 Kms city ride, good suspension and comfort, Mileage is priority, Pillion Sitting comfort for my mother/wife. My friend is having Hornet 2.0 so we thought of exchanging the bike. What's your suggestion on this..? Hornet 2.0 is worthy to exchange with Xpulse 200 4V...?? Hardly i will go highway or long-tours and in the i will never cross 100 KMPH. I need your suggestion about hornet 2.0 performance,comfort, suspension and overall comparison with xpulse 4V. Or should i use Xpulse 200 4V only..???
Position of the oil cooler is not feasible. If one slips on the left side or has a collision the oil cooler is going to get damaged. It's as good fixed on the crash guard. The collar should have been in the middle vertically below the T plate
Is it a long stroke engine? Because the Karizma XMR with the similar engine size of 210cc puts out 25bhp and this one puts out only 19 even after getting 4 valves. How is that happening? I hope it gets at least 20 to 21 bhp being a 200cc engine.

Actually you don't need rear ABS unless you are a beginner and if hero try 25 bhp with this engine it will stress the engine unlike pulsar and KTM hero have high resale value because hero makes long lasting bikes
The new monster 950 is nimble enough to manoeuvre in traffic with reduced weight and size when compared to the older 821 . The F900R is good but doesn’t make an appearance on Indian roads may be due to the cost and service factors , even Ducati too ! But I would say, if you are looking for an all new styling of a roadster model definitely go for the monster 950. But have a test ride on the new Street Triple before you make your choice ! Since it’s having a huge presence in India it might be little less compared in servicing and maintenance factors ! 👍🏽 I would say the 950 has the characteristics of a naked roadster with greater power delivery !
Implse naam jayada achcha tha, even Impulse is more good looking than this X Pulse. Old Style , More Rugged and easy to maintain. Light and more agile than this big fat ass Xpulse. I am going to transplant Hero honda Karizma 223 CC engine in My Hero Impulse.
Hero can build an Scrambler, Cafe racer & ADV on thier Dirt bike Xpulse 200, also an cruiser with same 200 4v engine as xpulse yet they have lazy attitude towards it & their dealers don't keep xpulse more.

As you said you are a beginner I think you should go for xpulse but for highways Himalayan is better but price is consideration too and after sell service too

I rode it just once, but immediately I wanted to take it off road and I did. This is an effortless bike to ride with very high capabilities.

I've had this bike and yes, this does happen, but you usually feel it at lower speeds(Under 30 kmph)

Nope it's tube type this bike is meant off-roading and you can't do off-roading with alloy wheels
