I'm delighted, not disappointed, with the Hero Xpulse 210, and here's why. Let's start with the heart of the bike - the engine. It's not just a 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, but also a closed-deck DOHC engine, which is a huge improvement over the previous version's perforated SOHC traditional air-cooled engine. This upgrade is precisely why the BHP and torque have increased substantially. The looks are simply amazing - more muscular and aggressive, with a stronger built that reminds me of the skeleton typically used in KTMs. In fact, it's reminiscent of something BMW would come up with, but for lower segments. It's that good, with international standards. With the 210cc engine, I expect fuel efficiency to be impressive, around 38-40 kmpl. This is ideal, as higher capacity engines usually compromise on fuel efficiency. Another significant advantage is the closed-deck engine, which provides better low-end torque, addressing a key shortcoming of the previous generation. Additionally, the suspension travel has been improved. Other notable upgrades include a larger tank size, a redesigned seat that looks much better, a bigger rack for added storage, and a high-resolution TFT display. The dual-channel ABS is also a welcome feature. I'm also impressed that Hero has opted for spoke wheels, which fare far better than alloy wheels in off-road conditions, providing the strongest support. The sitting posture has been revised for better comfort, making it a complete ADV bike now, unlike the previous generation, which was more of a commuter. Previously, the Xpulse was comfortable at around 80-90 kmph, but with the improved power and torque, cruising at 100-110 kmph will be effortless, making it perfect for touring on Indian roads and beyond. Considering all these features, the fact that it's priced under ₹2 lakhs is incredible. What more could one ask for? Being cynical isn't cool; it takes brains and hard work to create something as beautiful as this.
I don't want large engine, there's no point of bigger engine in India. 1 hr to 2hr traffic everywhere and our excellent drivers and our pot holes on highways. The only nuisance here is are the tube spokes, but it's alright I'll live with it.

Xpulse's popularity is largely because it is the most affordable adv one can buy in India... I'm glad they didn't put a 250cc engine because that would've significantly increased the price from the ongoing model...
25 PS power is more than sufficient for the purpose of a decently capable off-road tourer. Thirst for more and more power always will be there. If the engine is refined and trouble free, it will be a great bike as per Indian road conditions and safe speed limits.
People were happy with 210 back then because they weren't aware of 250. I was also one of them who wanted the same 210 Karizma engine on xpulse. now Hero had an opportunity here to launch all 3 250cc bikes
The current Xpulse had one issue and that is not being fun enough for long distances on highways, this one solves that issue. For those wanting more, there is a lot of heat generating in the sub 500cc segment and even Hero has a planned motorcycle for that segment. Enough power to cruise at 100 6 speed Liquid cooled engine Dual channel switchable ABS Still lightweight at 170 kilos This Xpulse is by far the perfect dual sport in its category
It ain't disappointment brother, Hero knows the market for Xpulse 210 carrying enough power to get handsome mileage within budget for most people 🎉 No other Manufacturer provides this kinda accessible bike in this category. Feel free to get a Himalayan, Kawasaki KLX, Ducati, KTM Adventure 😂 Xpulse 210 will prove its brilliance ❤
Guys like you always complain. Look at XPulse, this is so good. Perfect for beginners and it will not make a hole in your pocket. Moreover, i believe Hero guys are differentiating between their naked/sports & adv/cruiser segments. You don't need too much power for adv/cruiser so they are reserving 210 & 440 cc engines to this segment and 250 & 500 cc will be reserved for naked and sports segment lineup. Yes we don’t need much power, 210 is realistically fine, but 170kgs if a huge disappointment. I really love what hero has done this time besides the weight.
those who are saying hero should come with bigger engine will never understand that people in india want good bikes in less price. not everyone can afford expensive bikes like himalayan, yezdi adventure or ktm 390 adv
The 210cc liquid cooled engine makes this the perfect Xpulse I wanted. 250cc would make it heavier taking away the power to weight ratio and the mileage benefit over ktm 250 adventure. For me, Xpulse is not a bike to ride fast with a high revving engine. Its a bike to accelerate with early torque band and comfortably cruise at 100 kph for 500 kms. If Xpulse 210 can do this alongwith switchable ABS and six gears, this will be the best selling bike in 200cc segment.
Check out ackodrive's vlog of xmr 250. He says that this new 250cc engine is a long stroke version of 210 cc( not a rebored one. Keeping the bore dia same and increasing the stroke lenght) and he also mentions that xmr 250 is only 1 /1.5 kgs heavier than xmr 210( which is quite interesting). Don't know whether they have reworked the body panels or something else to keep the weight of xmr 250 minimal. If the 250cc mill is just heavier by 1.5 kgs . They could have just used it for the xpulse too. Would be definitely awesome to see a karizma , an xtreme and xpulse with 250 cc engines with slightly different tunings to suit their purposes. Btw that 250cc engine has good torque and power figures even with 5kgs increase that would still be an upgrade over 210 cc engine for the xpulse.
How Pulsar NS 400z is the cheapest 400cc bike in India? Same 400cc engine that already has a slot at the assembly lineup. So there is no special slot for NS400z. Almost same body panels and cycle parts as Pulsar NS 200. Again saving the manufacturing cost. By opting for the same 210cc Engine as the already in market Karizma XMR, Hero will price the 210cc aggressively or may be, I pray, at the same cost as the outgoing Xpulse 2004V. Again, the clutch plates, the chain sprockets are already available at cheap rates for the 'new' 210cc bike. The 250cc bikes are new in the stable. They are going to be costlier to buy and maintain for the initial few buyers. Again, if Hero prices the new 210cc slightly higher than the 200s then this could be the best seller in 200cc segment. Let's wait for the official spec sheets of these bikes before we make this comment section into a war zone.

It’s already the best selling in 200cc segment, if they bring all those options then the price gonna get nearer to the available 250cc’s and that can confuse the consumer in taking a decision.
Not a disappointment....hero xplulse is in a segment of its own being affordable and at the same time providing what the customers want. Beside xpluse 400 is already in its way.
Why complaining about "less" power????.....kawasaki klx 230 is just 18 bhp......Vstrom 250 is 26bhp.....so this bike has just the right specs and has the potential to do well ......with the right pricing......
exactly. Hero should do two x pulse now: 1. one with everything on it: 250 engine electronics package tubeless spokewheels ride by wire quickshifter cruisecontrol 2. and a basic affordable one with the bare necessities This will expose all the trolls online (eve the reviewers) cus the more affordable one will always sell way better. At the end of the day the Xpulse has consistent sales figures cus it is affordable and unique at under 2L on road.
😮250 cc will be costlier. Xpulse audience don't want a drastic price increase. You are foolish. First they would want to upgrade the already available popular version which is already selling good and then only they should upgrade. They took the correct decision
No one is disappointed except you Engineers have kept few points in mind : Mileage, dual abs & ofcourse the pricing will be less compared to other adventures in segment
Don't you think they haven't thought of it while designing Xtreme and Karizma 250. Pricing shouldn't be an issue. They can even now replace 210 with 200 and also give 250 version too
People will still complain, why not put rolls royce engine in this bike. Why not use tubeless spoke wheels and usd forks with 300 mm travel 🤡. Even if a brand does all that, you will still ask why not price be lower than 2L. Don't act like an infant, bro. Be realistic. You are working as a professional automobile critic, and your criticism is pointless.
This looks much better thsn the current one. Looks much more comfortable. And 250 does not matter...because the power output is decent enough on this for Indian roads.
This can deal with broken roads and offroad much better than adv 250 . And small capacity engines are more enjoyable in Indian dialy to daily life. A 250 would just drink more fuel and eat more Maintainence.
Hero only can tell why they avoided the 250.Though this is still a significant update from the outgoing 200 with slip assist,LCD display,Dual channel switchable ABS,much better and proportionate looks and colour scheme.
Bro why are telling bullshit about 210 cc engine its because the engine is lighter than 250 and ktm adventure is a different breed than xpulse don't compare it to adventure.
When competition goes 250 the logical thing is to be at par with them especially when you have an engine in the same class as the competition. Wonder who is making the decision in Hero instead of small increments they should have jumped to a larger one
For the Indian single bike owner like me needs mileage for commuting and decent grunt for cruising at 80-100. The hero did hit that spot, and they have a bigger xpulse already planned so it would be a cannibalizing decision to put a 30 hp motor to a 42 hp one.
I think the people who want a budget friendly dual purpose bike and also want to upgrade from the 100/125cc bikes...this is the best option for common people...well done Hero...👍
It’s the positioning, they don’t want to compete where it’s cramped with options. Xpulse stands out alone in it’s segment when it comes to price, power, ability.
210 cc engine of karizma is very powerful. it can cruise at 100km/h all day long. And it is also cost effective. remember for some people 4 lakh rupees bike feels cheaper and for some 2 lakh rupees bike feels very costly.
Indian people want 250 touring bike Not hard core offroadr India's touring bike market is very large but no light weight tourer is here Except - suzuki v strom sx
My Take, on the slightly smaller engine and not the 250cc is, Hero probably wants to keep the ex showroom cost, similar to the last one. may be just about 5-10k difference. And i already know, if this one is sold for more than 2L on road, then its gonna fail big time!!
Very well said .. directly on point... No bakwas... Very disappointed to see 210 rather than 250 or 400.... As usual they Hero always delayed new launch and seems like not comfortable to bring big bike because of pricing...
When did 25 bhp not became enough? It's a dirt/adventure motorcycle. If you'd put the 250 cc engine the cost would be more for sure. Then it would get lost like the suzuki 250 adv and the ktm 250 adv. 250 xpulse would simply cost more and people would just go for Himalayan 450 instead. Please go get some knowledge first
Agree with your thoughts. Hero Xpulse became successful because of providing well off-road bike in most affordable price in market in this segment. Hero could provide 250cc or 440 cc as they already have both engines prepared. But that’s surely gonna increase the price and in terms of price people would definitely try to go for Ktm Duke Adventure or Himalayan. This is the best strategy to upgrade the engine of previous xpulse with their own previously prepared 210 cc engine of karizma. Since Hero Motorcop didn’t invest much for R&D to develop this new engine as they already had this before, it can significantly compete in segment with low price. I would defy say good move Hero motorcop. And who said 24 bhp is low😅😅😅?
25bhp under 2L is just right for a price to power perspective. Also more power + more equipment = ADV not a dualsport. Xpulse is the only dualsport in the market under 2 lakh. Xpulse is the only trail bike by an indian manufacturer. X pulse is the only bike you can truly take offroad in india everything else is too heavy, too expensive to repair or too nice to thrash off road
this is actually genius. This can come for about 1.5 L ex-showroom while having enough space for another ADV (likely an adventure tourer with 19 and 17-inch alloy wheels) based on Mavrick 440 engine for about 2 to 2.1L ex-showroom. Putting the new 250cc engine would skew this equation. I compared this Mavrick 440's engine with old himalyan 411 and the new yezdi adventure. With 17-19 alloy wheels it can target Triumph Scrambler 400 X market with competitive pricing and great know end torque 36 Nm @ 4,000 rpm (Mavrick 440) vs 37.5 Nm @ 6,500 rpm (Scrambler 400 X) and adequate power, 27 bhp @ 6,000 rpm. Hero should defiantly move in this direction and move fast.
My disappointment is all about weight management part (kick start too). the weight should be under 160 kg. i hope offroaders will understand what i mean to say.. anyway its a great upgrade from HERO . Good luck Hero.
Simple baat, budget low , go for xpulse. If you want adventure with a low budget like 2.3 lakhs, this is what you get . If you want more , pehle paisa kamao phir sapna dekho,.
First of all Jehaan you are just a negative person. Looks like a home grown Brand is not making you proud enough. Just appreciate it because it is the only cost efficient bike of the category. Anyways you live in the clouds of the big brands that's much better for you and give us a host who knows India better.
Just because it is home brand doesn't mean we shouldn't criticise it. Be mature and see beyond these emotions. Brands won't upgrade if people don't demand the right product. We are spending our hard earned money and this bike doesn't seems to be of good value.
@shivamchaudhary290 I felt it was a reasonable critic. With 210cc on highways, you'll be riding on high rev. I was expecting a 440cc upgrade. This 210cc doesn't make sense. This is not called an upgrade.
@@hiazhar2008 there are already himalayan, yezdi adventure and ktm adventure available for that. hero didn't want the competetion with those bigger bikes.
More people will use this for Daily commute with comfort. Hence the liquid cooled engine is much better. Bigger engine brings in lot of factors to consider. I know guys who ride this daily since India is yet to have near to perfect roads everywhere. Once we have that kind of infrastructure, we can think of brands bringing in big bikes.
Why is Hero keeping so many engines in its lineup. Just see other manufacturers and take advantage of platform sharing. Keep 250 & 440 in their line up. Thats it.
frrrrr , they r giving suchha goood ADV , offfroader tourer , everything in suchhha low budget , they wont value it now and later say oh my god , ppl couldnt give much limelight to the legend the way it happened with the IMPULSE , isnt it ??? it was suchha vfm with smwhat like 90k types onroad :) if u wanna get another ADV everything will be priced somewhat 1lakh or 2lakhs costlier than this , WEIRED PPL +_+
YES, and a BIG YES, Hero should have launched with 250 XPULSE. I mean let 400 come later, but it doesn't make any sense to upgrade by just 10cc. It's mockery. It's absolutely ridiculous and absurd. I don't know who the think tanks are in Hero group who has given this idea, when in fact they very much have 250 cc engine in hand, just put the same in XPULSE, that's it. A 250 cc with 30 bhp power and 25 NM torque would compete with Himalayan and KTM Adventure X easily. And price at 1.75-1 80 lacs, it would have been a RUNAWAY SUCCESS.
Why do xpulse want to become an option in between other available 250 advs to the consumer? they’re targeting enthusiasts who isn’t willing to buy existing 250’s for what ever reason. Simply their target consumers are different which is called positioning. There’s no strong competitor to xpulse in terms of price, power, ability that’s their strength. If they make it 250 they’ll loose their strength and will become an option for the consumer.
That’s the exact thing, they don’t want to compete with himalayan or ktm adv or any others, they’re playing in their own segment which has no competition and making sure that nobody can enter and beat them in their segment.
Do you have any idea about bikes? This is not just 10cc upgrade like you made it of! This 210 and the current 200 engine is highly different. And xpulse 400 is in the pipeline. So 210 upgrade is justified.
this size is perfect. 210 cc is perfect if it has good balance of power, fuel efficiency. Adv bikes have bad fuel efficiency and therefore Hero may have shyed away from making a 250 cc one. for those who can spend money on fuel, they will ask 400 cc. i wonder how this auto journalist missed this logic
KTM ADV will cost close to 3.3 L, in the price segment of Hero Xpulse, the quality, and reliability it provides are still unbeatable. People who earlier didn't purchase Xpulse bcz of it's off-road characteristics, will now consider buying this version as this is more tourer friendly and performs better than older Xpulse on highway, given it's 24 BHP from 18 BHP from it's earlier version. (as before, no doubt on it's off-road capability) Since Hero is targetting the middle class, a higher cc engine with lower mileage will not be a good package.
It's good that they are launching a 210cc liquid from oil cooled. Obviously it can be cruised in 100kmph for it's power. And in that price range every new buyer's focus will be shifted from 200 to 210 which also can be considered as the premium adv compared to kawasaki klx. Which we know the cost which is twice atleast of this xpulse of this price. And for the next update they'll surely making the 250 and 400 cc category. Right decision
I completely agree with you, I didn't understand that 210 proposition myself, it ought to be their best foot forward, Hero keeps putting the Xpulse down for no reason.
Why would they want to compete with the KTMs at 250 when there is no competitor at their capacity, weight and price point. I am glad they didnt change many aspects of the already loved xpulse.

We understand your disapointment, and we agree with you. But make a proper walk around of all the new gen Xpulse 210 variants bro
Hero Did it right..their CEO is more educated than U tube guys
Hero only can tell why they avoided the 250.Though this is still a significant update from the outgoing 200 with slip assist,LCD display,Dual channel switchable ABS,much better and proportionate looks and colour scheme.
They probably went for the 210 to keep costs and weights low. Also the 210 would be slightly more durable to keep up with demands of off road riding.
Bro why are telling bullshit about 210 cc engine its because the engine is lighter than 250 and ktm adventure is a different breed than xpulse don't compare it to adventure.
Lighter engine doesn't help it's 170Kg weight
@okamich.9797 think if it was 250 then 5 to 6 kg more !
@okamich.9797 you can't use alloy and reduce the price in the same place so for better pricing they have to use Steel whicj increases weight.
In the vdo Bro is new in the segment.😂
When competition goes 250 the logical thing is to be at par with them especially when you have an engine in the same class as the competition. Wonder who is making the decision in Hero instead of small increments they should have jumped to a larger one
It's the best adv motorcycle for beginners
Smaller engine comes with its benifits
Lighter bike, better mileage, low service cost
No issues if it can do 80-100km/h comfortably 🤞
To those thinking why Acko is upset about the xpulse not getting the 250cc, they could've made a bit more money on the insurance that's why.
Xpulse 210 was expected and its a mature choice from Hero. You are bring immature. Grow up kid.
I just saw so much negativity coming from you. This one seems to be a good bike to me.
For the Indian single bike owner like me needs mileage for commuting and decent grunt for cruising at 80-100. The hero did hit that spot, and they have a bigger xpulse already planned so it would be a cannibalizing decision to put a 30 hp motor to a 42 hp one.
I wish they bring it to xpulse 200t too
I think the people who want a budget friendly dual purpose bike and also want to upgrade from the 100/125cc bikes...this is the best option for common people...well done Hero...👍
Indian people want 250 touring bike
Not hard core offroadr
India's touring bike market is very large but no light weight tourer is here
Except - suzuki v strom sx
👍
My Take, on the slightly smaller engine and not the 250cc is, Hero probably wants to keep the ex showroom cost, similar to the last one. may be just about 5-10k difference. And i already know, if this one is sold for more than 2L on road, then its gonna fail big time!!
170kgs is enough to off set whatever power gains it made from the previous version.
Very well said .. directly on point... No bakwas... Very disappointed to see 210 rather than 250 or 400....
As usual they Hero always delayed new launch and seems like not comfortable to bring big bike because of pricing...
All indians are happy with xpulse 200 now 210 is enough with upgraded features hero keep on developing
If it is " ..not large enough.." - then buy a bigger bike ! As simple as that. Anything else is a very stupid comment.
Don’t get disappointed guys enough power for adventure I love it
I think People need a 200 CC light weight Adventure Bike,
we need this
Xpulse 210
Xtreme 210
Karizma 210
and
Xpulse 250
Xtreme 250
Karizma 250.
Fed up with ROYAL ENFIELD with multiple issues, finally some good bike in India Market.
Jehan is doing a fab job this EICMA season 😊
20% power increase is very much enough plus 6 gears👏
My disappointment is all about weight management part (kick start too). the weight should be under 160 kg. i hope offroaders will understand what i mean to say.. anyway its a great upgrade from HERO . Good luck Hero.
Areh don't ask for a bigger engine, ask why the weight could not be kept around 150kg. 170 is too much for an off roader.
Liquid cooling, new chassis & maybe bigger fuel tank. Also rear sus travel seems same as pro version(current) which already weigh near 160
This is perfect, karizma engine is awesome.
Don't jump to conclusions Jehan...🧐
Not tuned the engine for better low end punch . power and torque is in high rev range 😌
@@hiazhar2008but the criticism he is doing is not valid
@shivamchaudhary290 I felt it was a reasonable critic. With 210cc on highways, you'll be riding on high rev. I was expecting a 440cc upgrade. This 210cc doesn't make sense. This is not called an upgrade.
@@hiazhar2008 there are already himalayan, yezdi adventure and ktm adventure available for that. hero didn't want the competetion with those bigger bikes.
@RS23545 did someone from Hero tell you that? Hero is coming with a 410cc bike next year.
Yaaa..... They should have given atleast 250cc engine.... I was hoping they will give 440 engine🙄
We don’t want that 440 CC SOHC 2 Valve Engine designed for a Cruiser Bike
Exactly , agree .... the 210 Xpulse is pure baniya-giri from Hero Moto Corp.... should have 250 or 440(may be EICMA 2025)
Very interesting bike, this TH-cam channel hosts doesn't have any idea what adventure bike means, I am waiting for this bike eagerly
When will it be launched?
Seat height?
I was waiting for Xpulse 450 in Türkiye ;)
nah hero actually improved the bike instead of turning it into a cash grab
Road and offroad bike engine are different. Road engine have torque at high rpm while offroad bike needs torque at low and mid rpm.
True an long stroke 250 would have been awesome
Why is Hero keeping so many engines in its lineup. Just see other manufacturers and take advantage of platform sharing. Keep 250 & 440 in their line up. Thats it.
how is the seat comfort for both rider and pillion? is it better than current xpulse?
The weight is too heavy. It doesn't make sense small power to weight ratio.
It is an awesome bike. It is not about bike it is about skills
where is kick ?
This is a great bike, only needs tubeless tyres, tube tyres a big no
Does it have dual channel ABS?
yes
I have my eyes on vida Scotter there it's looking sleek and beautiful 👌
Happy with the xpulse 210.❤❤
210 is a perfect bike ❤looking as the prices of fuel going up regularly
Xpulse has no rivals in its category so why go overboard and make things complicated...
frrrrr , they r giving suchha goood ADV , offfroader tourer , everything in suchhha low budget , they wont value it now and later say oh my god , ppl couldnt give much limelight to the legend the way it happened with the IMPULSE , isnt it ??? it was suchha vfm with smwhat like 90k types onroad :) if u wanna get another ADV everything will be priced somewhat 1lakh or 2lakhs costlier than this , WEIRED PPL +_+
You are the person disappointing all of us in the video.. Video se Bahar nikalo yaar usko..😂
And 250cc on xpulse with all the adv features for 1.7-1.8 price tag is a joke of expectations. Simple If they could they would’ve done it.
Do you have any idea about bikes? This is not just 10cc upgrade like you made it of! This 210 and the current 200 engine is highly different. And xpulse 400 is in the pipeline. So 210 upgrade is justified.
Na, Hero should not listen to Bike reviewers..customers are happy with the existing & now new model 😛🤩
this size is perfect.
(as before, no doubt on it's off-road capability)
Since Hero is targetting the middle class, a higher cc engine with lower mileage will not be a good package.
250 would have been the best overall adventure bike and why 210 mm travel it should be reserved to a rall model
I completely agree with you, I didn't understand that 210 proposition myself, it ought to be their best foot forward, Hero keeps putting the Xpulse down for no reason.
Iam happy with 210cc but kerb weight should have been reduced to around 155kg that would have been perfect
wt do u mean by non-tubless tyre is it tubeless or tubed
Tubed
Why would they want to compete with the KTMs at 250 when there is no competitor at their capacity, weight and price point. I am glad they didnt change many aspects of the already loved xpulse.
Rip honda monopoly now😂
It looks great compared to the current gen. Great move by hero. Only disappointment is the weight.
I appreciate with the point u came up with...this is what we actually expected the 250 engine on xpulse
Perfect!! Bro you are right why the Hero xpulse did not have 250cc engine..
