Once you start using it you won't be able to stop. They are really versatile. I'ld also recommend the vacuum plate accessory if you do, or plan on doing, any vacuum forming.
I've been away for a long time when this popped up in my feed. I just want to say it's great to see you on your feet again. I find you to be one of the most inspirational creators of our time.
Glad to see you up and back making things since your back surgery. I hope your doing well. You really know how to inspire people. Keep up the great projects. Wecome Maggie.
I can't get enough of your content, Izzy. It reminds me of watching The New Yankee Workshop as a kid, only better. I'm in school for engineering and your content takes what I loved from The New Yankee Workshop and combines it with an engineers mindset. You spark my imagination and wonder. Keep up the great work.
Hi Izzy, first off welcome Maggie, nice to see you. Secondly, I have never heard of plastic nails, what a great idea for nailing things down on a CNC so you do not have to worry about the router going through a nail
Great build, guys. This opens up a bunch of possibilities for upper level storage cubbies (maybe for lesser used items), even if you ARE taller than Maggie. My shop has walls pushing 12', but the utilization of the top portions always require step ladders. Not ideal, or elegant. She will certainly be a great asset for the channel. Look forward to the next build.
Probably the best compact with the most tools storage system I've seen or thought of!! Great Job and loved the bungee dampening system. The only thing I "might" have done different is put thin Delrin washers between the ply cantilevers and use nylocks (just my typical Motis). Always a treat to see excellent designs come together and be so functionally efficient and clean! Thanks Izzy and Maggie!! Hat Tip, ~PJ
Great solution for us vertically challenged woodworkers! I've outgrown my original cordless station and this would be a sweet addition. Thanks Izzy (and Maggie) for sharing.
I had the same problem in my basment (work shop & household storage areas) my wife is vertically challenged, so floor to ceiling storage is still the way I went but I also installed a sliding library ladder with rails. Most of her stuff is put lower but things rarely used (Xmas lights, and other holiday stuff) are put high. A happy wife happy life.
Nice ideas. Even for six footers. That would make it so I can store more tools up high in a small shop and not waist from 7 to 9 foot on a wall and also let me not have to move a step stool a round and round the shop. 8)
Thanks for sharing a great idea for your charging station. I'll be building something similar ( as soon as a long list of honey-do's is completely done)
Barry, Barry, Barry...I was once a young naive partner, and then one day I had an epiphany, The Honey-Do List is never, ever done, it just keeps morphing and growing!
@@a..d5518 - Actually, some of the stuff at the top of the honey-do list is stuff I also WANT to do. I get those first, then one thing on her list, then the charging station. There's a method to my madness!
Welcome to the Maker's Playground, Maggie. Hope to see you and your making efforts on the app. I see that Izzy had to push the charger shelf back up for you. What if instead of a strap to pull it down ya'll incorporated a dowel as a handle mounted with some type of hinge or swivel hook on it so you could use it to both pull the shelf down and push it back up?
That's really cool. It gives me an idea to have a whole cabinet on a parallelogram mechanism so it can be stored up high but the entire thing would lower for access.
You’re very talented, both of you. My advice on the battery chargers is to turn them off when you are not there. They cause a lot of fires. I enjoyed your build. Thank You
That’s an awesome project. I love the engineering and thought that went into that. It looks like a handle of some sort might be of better use so Maggie could not only pull the charger shelf down but also be able to push it back up easier. Great to see you doing so well Izzy after having such problems with your back, I was rather surprised to see you not only lifting the sheet of plywood but also with Maggie clinging on to it to lol.
Absolute Genius!! A hell of an investment, but again - genius design and execution! Keep on with really really really cool stuff!!! Still somewhat high...
Hey nice to See Ya Back and that He,s Tryin to make it work Like I Did for my Wiffee she,s short tooo and We Make it work with Her in Mind Ya Got this Been ther done that So Now Woories
"Words are hard"... yanno Izzy, I've never noticed you struggle with that before... ... before you had a drop-dead gorgeous, badass woman with her own copious supply of power tools, coupled with a more-than-adequate supply of skills to use of all of them. Is what I'd meant. Not that I think that's a factor, the stunning lady who's sharing your shop henceforth. I mean, why would it? You probably got some lumber whose sawdust is a sensitizer. Cocobolo can make your tongue go numb if you're sanding it without a respirator. So can yew. I mention this because you should be careful. Not least because SOME of those tools are still too high up for the beautiful shop partner you've just acquired to reach. Regardless, congratulations to you both: Izzy for finding such an ideal match for your creative genius, and Maggie for finding someone to share a shop who's so sensitive and attentive to your needs! I've no doubt you'll both make beautiful mechanisms together! Mazel tov!
Dude this channel is awesome ! Couldn’t sleep stumbled across your channel it’s been 1 hour and 32 min and I can’t stop watching just amazing stuff thank you and don’t worry I smashed the subscription button
For my drills, I found that the chuck had a similar diameter to the hole saw I use for door knobs. So, I just mounted a 2x4 with some backers to make space and drilled holes in it the size of the chucks. I stick the drills into the holes and they hang there fine.
Neat system. Just an observation: The down stop appears to also function as an up stop, as does the wall, so other than preventing sag, the blocks seem redundant .
They also keep the possibility of sag from happening with the weight of the batteries and charges. But your right it could have been done with out them
Nice project...I might have just connected the bungie cord to the top back of the hinged shelf and ran it up to a screw eye in your ceiling joists/rafters. Or use a simple gas shock like a hatchback vehicle's rear hatch door lift assist or the front hood.
What is that tool you and Maggie used to pick up, carry, and move the Baltic Birch Ply?
It's called the Grabo Vac plate. There is a link in the description box it you want to check it out more
@@izzyswan Thank you!
It was product placement for izzy's badass engineering.
Nice work

I can't say enough how good it is to see you back, healthy looking and happy making. Keep it up.
Nice build... keep on making Maggie... Good to see you looking healthy Izzy... still in my prayers...
The pulley system using bungee is genius. Your ingenuity and creativity are a gift and truly inspire me, and I’m sure millions of others. Thank you
Welcome Maggie. That’s a great space saving idea. Thanks Izzy and Maggie

Now that Maggie is there ,I'm watching more . Great job and video.
Clever use of longer bungee cord.

yes i stopped the video right there; to search plastic nails
Good to see you in the shop again Izzy, welcome Maggie. You forgot to call it the "Ultimate" folding cordless drill storage / charging station (lol)
Hahaha
Welcome Maggie
That was an amazing video!! Thank you as always Izzy, and lovely to meet you Maggie! Lookin' forward to the future, woooohoooo✌🤘😀🙌
i smashed that like button 14 years ago, Izzy is OG TH-camr.
That came out great!
Welcome to the channel Maggie!
Welcome to the shop, Maggie! This turned out great. The lift assist is clever.
VERY cool addition to the shop!!! The charging station is cool, too!!
You beat me to it!
That bungee idea is super clever. I would have used a gas spring, but I like the adjustibility of this design.
agreed a mini gas strut would have worked out great also.

This is so much cooler than a stool!
Great video! Hello Maggie and welcome!!
Almost missed the rest of your vid when I fixated on the Grabo Vac. I've only needed something like that for almost for ever. Crazy handy tool.
I like it, I LIKE IT A LOT ! Maggie is a fine addition to the shop too ! Welcome 😁
Maggie you are a great addition
and this is a great project.
Glad to see you are getting help. Loved the build.
“Words are hard.” Awesome!
There sure is a lot of chemistry between these two! I am happy for you Izzy!😁🛫
That's his girlfriend? Weird...
Always an inspiration on ideas Izzy, thanks for the video and also, welcome to the shop Maggie, don't be to hard on him! lol

Great video my friends! I also saw that huge pile of hardwoods. Cant wait to see what Maggie picks for the next build haha
You and me both!
Clever design Izzy. All the tools, batteries and chargers it must have some weight in it.
Clever/useful idea to use pulleys to fit-in a longer piece of bungee cord, thanks for the vid and just that tip!
Looking great but needs some paint. 👍. Good luck on your new job Maggie.
Amazing! Another awesome design and video! Best TH-cam channel out here!
Wow, thanks!
Love you two!!
We miss you

Think library ladder, you know, side to side rolling and attached to the wall or shelf system at the top by the rollers on a rail system?
Thanks for sharing a great idea for your charging station. I'll be building something similar ( as soon as a long list of honey-do's is completely done)

Welcome Maggie. You are gonna need to make a Makers Playground bio page with all the new faces that have been in the shop.

Nice thought and design, keep going. I hope the Charger tray does not on accident fall over, maybe need lock, or use of dampened compression shock.
all these new tools (hers) the weed eater? LOL that's great! thanks for checking out my channel! love you izzy man!
Welcome Maggie! That is a fantastic project that I need to build for my shop. Are you going to sell plans including the CNC Files?
Thats a lot of tools in a very small space.Wish I had a third of those drills.😊😊😊
